personally, i think that cars which haven't got good high rpm torque can't make it.. they hit in a wall at 297, just like ZZ-II and Supra RZ. i think I shall consider some car wth good high rpm torque, like some Mazda etc.. or Lotus. retc.. but, i'm pretty convinced that as soon as i find proper roadcar with these features ,I'll get to that club. I hope. :guilty:
 
The Supra isn't there any more. In fact I took it off a while ago so why are you still seeing it :odd:? Oh well, it wasn't over the 300mph line.

You might be able to get a Corvette over the border, they're nice and aerodynamic, and powerful. Give it a shot while I blast my R8 around la Sarthe II going for under 3 minutes with standard parts, then I'll try it for 330mph.

As for the high-RPM power range thing, I will agree with that. The Merc SL 65 AMG won't go over 290mph because it has such a low torquerange, and a low power range. I just can't get the gears to match with the engine bands... :(

We're getting less activity here, come on speed phreaks, get your helmets and pressure suits on and go for goal :) !

yeah.. same thing with supra, can't get the powerbands to match with the gearing, the limits are coming up. :ouch: just like in ZZ-II, even though it has power way higher in the band, but AWD eats part of it. :guilty: Thus, I'm going to start looking after cars with light body, high revving engine with high range torque and rwd.. hey, Mr. Honda, could you borrow me some cars..? :lol:
 
Try messing with the VCD on the Supra, at the risk of stating the obvious ;)

I took out my R8 at the Test Track just now, and I came up with 324.6Xmph. Not great, but pretty good for preliminary tests. Chassis tuning here we come, because with the settings I use on most cars it wheelies :ouch: slamming on the brakes to drop the nose at 320mph does terrible things to stability!

VCD on the supra? ermm.. are you sure that you don't mean LSD.. VCD is for AWD and Supra is RWD.. DE, I think that this need for speed has finally left your mind trailing at your exhaust fumes.. ;) :lol:

No I believe you, that car is much faster than the 330 that it's been accounted for if you ask me. Mine's still only good for 326 though... :ouch: get going you German ground-hugger!

Nothing against you at all by going for your record, I hope you know that, but I just want to be the fastest in the R8 because I love it so much :)

By the way, please ignore any spooling mistaks in the above post, it's 0650 here...
 
Not that anyone cares but I did 2,900ish Mph with the 787B on GT3 in a "flat-out, no-holds-barred quest for speed." That was using the wheelie trick and also the 50X HP cheat from a game shark. In case you were wondering that comes out to be just under 50,000 HP. I know it's kind of lame to use a game shark but after you have tried every thing else the game has to offer it's fun to do something new. Has anyone else done this before because it's so funny. Watching it in replay just about all you can see is a blur and hear what I would describe as what you would expect a laser gun to sound like.
 
yo, you will not be hearing much from me lately....my real life car, a 96 grand am, has just caused me some heartache....im not sure what her problem is....but i beleive it is her transmission going out...so i am going to have to spend every waking moment....trying to get some cash to fix her....i truly love my car.....and i can not bare to see it just sit and rust away in my back yard,.....ill post again when i have her fixed...till then peace

HK Wanker, that is pretty much useless to know. We don't need 48,000bhp cars breaking Mach Four from a Gameshark... It's so impossibly unrealistic we can't pay attention to it really. I am now regretting my first-post wording!

ok, on a more positive note.....the 96 Pontiac i own is now perfectly running again....a few minutes fiddling with it in my drive way led my to test, not the distributor....but all three distributors...yes you read that right....my car has 3 distributors, one for every 2 cylinders.....and as it turns out....my number 2 distributor pack was mis firing....a cool 68 bucks later....and shes back...full force....ready to put some import tuner freaks to shame.....so, with that, i will now inform you that i will be messing with gt4 again....

Ok, well here's a bit more useless information. I just did 210mph in reverse on GT4 without a gameshark. :dopey:
 
Trying to get to 100% now, bud. You know how it is, the number's so damn close, but it takes ages to get there. What can I say? Been buying some good stuff along the way, so you'll get a flurry of activity from me shortly...

My R8 hasn't gone any faster, but that may be because it hasn't been to the test track :) I haven't had a lot of free time at the moment, sorry guys. It will do 330... it just will! You can try to get some more after I beat you :p I can't admit defeat on a car like that! Can I just quote 'R92CP 322.78mph' to you? 👍

SPEEDSTER_SAM, I hate having to ask people to trawl through eighteen pages but if you look through the thread there are several people with 300+ in the Speed 12, and also it is classified as a race car as it is not an original road conception... Sorry. Besides, the roadcar record is 310mph+, which the Cerbera 12 can't do. If anyone's wondering about where I'm getting this reply from read the comments on SPEEDSTER's settings :p
There's definitely a lot of improvements to be made on your settings, but not bad for a first try. I won't ask why you have Auto Gear 13 on it....

Eddie, you know what got the Nardo over 300mph, so persevere and go get that Black FGT!!! 👍

i did 303.50 mph in my audi r8. i would post a picture but i forgot to take one. but i did get 302.34 mph in the 88c-v. does this mean i'm in the 300 club?

Hi there sam..I haven't seen you at the vault much. I'm therat1989...obviously. I was just about to post a setup for the top speed of that car. Yes it will go over 300mph. But I would like for you to mess with the settings a little more. Instead of me posting my setup.(I already have enough) So if you need help with it just e-mail me.

1989, I think that's the way for people to get in the club really, do it themselves! I don't really approve of people getting into the club by using other's settings, although I'm not banning it :)

i had my first crack at the 300mph mark. I had a Pescarolo sitting in the garage so i thought that should do the job... and it did. With nothing but gearbox tuning...

WOOHOO!!! I'm in the club!!! i have a picture of my Minolta speed, but no the R8. But I can 100% assure you that I got 303.50mph in the R8, seriously, swear on it on my life, cross my heart!!!

...i'll get the minolta speed pic up as soon as i can figure out how my bloody digital camera works!!!
