If you think you can get a front wheel drive car to do 300mph. feel free to discuss it
i know. it's just that i didn't so hence my wonder. i tried the celica and the r-honda but they didn't have a chance.
maybe start an FF 250 club?:)

..i've drove only the R32, about this car i have two versions

Opendriver
I belive that the S-Tune is the first "tunner car" to reach the 300 barrier
Correct.

*is unsure whether Opendriver's Lotus speed ever happened or not*

I've just realised I haven't got my digicam at home at the moment (won't get it back until Monday), so when I break 300mph in the S-Tune (Not if, when) you will have to excuse the shoddy picture from my webcam :)

Someone posted a pair of interesting comments on my YouTube last night. The first one was on my Lotus Esprit V8 GT, 305.18mph run video, accusing me off using the wheelie trick. I kindly replied telling them to look at the position of the front wheels in comparison to the cars shadow, and about the 300mph club no wheelie-ing rule. I then went to read thier second comment, which was on my Sauber C9, 340.86mph run video. Here they make the grandious claim that they'e done 378.91mph in thier Minolta Toyota 88C-V. I replied to this stating my belief that no car can reach that speed without wheelie-ing.

This got me thinking though... why would someone outright call me a 'cheater' (in an impolite manner), only minutes later to make claims which cannot be achieved without 'cheating'. :dunce:

I'll point out that theres a user of these forums with the exact same account name (including case)...

Thanks. 👍

The matching account on here only has 1 post, and that was last year so, not really someone we need to worry about. I agree that they must be wheelie-ing to do 378.91mph.

Well, I'll go so far to say that I used to be (pretty firmly) in the belief that no car would do 350mph without wheelieing, but I've been proven wrong plenty of times. Now I'm older and wiser :) but I cannot see that 378mph is doable with four wheels planted. If all the skill and experience we have won't do it, what will?

Anyway, hi MDG and welcome to the Club! Think you can get any more out of your 88C-V? 👍
