actually, mine barely bounces, and it doesent slow it ndown when it does, not that i know of. hm, ill tyr increasing the height like you said. so, make the front higher?

Yeah. Max rideheight in the front is how I do it. Low springrates in front & back with full downforce on both ends works well.

I'm not entirely sure that's effective on the GT-One - sure, it'll work as it does on any car, but the GT-One might react quite violently and wheelie. I don't know for sure - I've never really tested the GT-One.

Nice to see your sig change, Crimson ;)

Just to add my two cents here. For any 300MPH attempt the starting concept is always high front and low rear ride heights, low spring rates, low front and high rear downforce. Any given car will need tuning but this is the basic idea. The slower cars will likely benefit from maxing out these values while the really fast ones will probably benefit from more moderate settings.

I will reiterate what I said a few days ago when Musclecarchris and a few others came on board: assume nothing when it comes to settings, test each one from one extreme to the other to at least get a sense of what works best, and watch any videos that exist on this thread for the car you are working on because the best racing line is also not to be assumed and you might get some insights on ride heights, NOS application and gearing.

you don't give away too much D.E., and i think it's everyone's joice, how much knowledge he'll give away...... 👍

btw, new avatar...............

Believe me, the GT1 WILL wheelie when pushed to hard (ie downforce is fiddled with to much) and will result in a bad run

still playing resistance on my PS3...

guess what? i fiddled with the height all week, and got the speed up to 357 mph! i had to raise the front spring thing some though, as it wouldnt stay on the ground otherwise :D i wonder how the guy with the 370+ gt one did it...
im determined to beat him! :D

Good luck, and all speeds over 350mph need a video and a session records screenshot. 👍

Please remove that photo from your post now, Snyp - it screws with alignment a little :p

Nice work with the 88C-V, though, seems you've revived the Club a bit with your addition to our member's list!

Obviously, superior skills and intellect
Something like that

Seems the server is actually working, cue the awed gasp that I can get an update done within a week of the speed being posted! :dopey:

Thx :D ...

IT's now done, I let a link to get to the picture...Resized :p

--------------------------------------------------------

I've tried to get up to 300 mph with the Viper SRT-10 tuned... I can't get higher than 279... any suggestions ? Anyone think it's possible ?

When i clicked on the leader board on dark elites last post its says "We're Sorry, This Page Was Not Found. Feel Free To Search Below!"
and when i go to the first page leader board it doesn't show anything new like me and snyp's records.

I have a new recordl, 342.57 on The GT-1

The Leaderboard link in my post suffered a URL typo, for (I believe) the first time ever. :p
There should be absolutely no problems with the Leaderboard - although, for some reason or another, your speed is not in the database, hms90832, nor are you in the Drivers' database. How many previous speeds have you posted?
Snyp's speed is there, in Slot 293.

If my posted link fails for whatever reason, you can use the link in my signature, which will only ever fail if the Leaderboard itself is not working. There's also links in many member's signatures, too.

Anyway, nice work.
Updating Leaderboard... Server trouble again...

What is the BB code to resize the picture on the forum ?

thx.

Also, beside gears... What are the main setting to do on a car when attempting to reach 300 mph ?

What are the main setting to do on a car when attempting to reach 300 mph ?
All of them. I change almost every setting on the cars in my runs. Across all the cars I've held records with, I've changed every setting at least once. If changing a setting can gain me 0.01mph, then that's good enough a reason for me! 👍

RSLCreator1000 your specs are arranged really weird. I don't Understand them. Oh and you need to post a picture of your record on this thread.

The shock bound and toe are hurting your speed, try lowering them, or setting them to zero. And also, turn of all of your aids. They slow you down in the corner.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

In other news, Im getting close to beating RFOM, but I dont have a memory card adapter to transfer my game save over to the PS3' HDD. SO im getting out of my "groove" for the top speed thing. I hope they have a little installment of a track in GT:HD to keep me occupied. But I could care less what im doing with GT at all since its my birthday on the 17. Ill be 18:D

If you need the pics again i can repost them.
There's no point in reposting the slower GT-One speed, but if you could upload the 88C-V speed's photo again - that must have failed to load, for some reason.

From the little sense I can make of those settings, there's quite a few problems I can see.
