You will not discuss performance-altering hybrids in this thread, in any way that may assist their use.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, Opendriver, it hadn't occured to me to actually mention it. I shall have to edit the main rules, too - how do we feel about anyone found to have used any form of hybrid having all of their speeds removed from the Leaderboard?

Now it comes to mind, some sort of sanction for discussing hybrids here might need to be brought in, too... I'll have to think about that one.

The implication of the rule I'm going to put in the first post (also above) is that although I'm not going to attach a taboo to just using the word 'hybrid', you must not post any information on how to use/make/create/tune hybrids. Are there any objections to that?

I think I'll aim for post number #5500 :sly: no news about XJ220. it has too much downforce etc for example.

Interesting at the logic employed by some members, trying to bring activity into to Club after I say I'm away? Hmm. That's a fresh way of thinking...

Viper's right, we have busy spots and quiet spots, which are mostly to do with school schedules affecting how much time people have to be tuning and posting. The quiet spots are sometimes rather like an oasis in the middle of a desert :p

Well, I just got a couple LMPs, (Courage and R8), and am saving up for the 4 black beauties right now, so I may see if I can best my first gamesave's 88C-V record. Might take a crack at a few road cars, too, soon. So I may become busy before too long ;)

I just wish I could get more than 295 out of my old Saleen...

I don't think anyone has ever really tried the Mitsubishi Evo, but the aerodynamics are guaranteed to be prohibitive. The same goes for the Impreza Spec.C.

I'll be checking out that video later, hms90832...

DE

in the case of Impreza or Evo, it's not the aerodynamics that hold them back ( remember that boxy hell called S-Tune reached 300mph as well ;) ), but the lack of power. especially in Evo. but the super touring cars could possibly do it.

hms90832, nice run.
I'm also not sure why you used 5 gears, much less why you would want to use four - I used all six.
By the way, you better work on the setup because just looking at the video its obvious you'll never get close to the top speeds for this car as is (that's all the help I'll provide ;)).

As far as the video is concerned, while it's DE's call as to the legitimacy of this run, I will comment that an outside view is what is really needed to be able to determine whether the car wheelied.

Pyrelli, nice run from you too (you posted as I was writing this)

Edit:
AArghhh!!!!!! - If only I had been a little quicker I would have had #5500

well how am i going to prove that my car went over 350 other than the pic. oh an my car accelerates very slow in 6th gear. any sugestions?
like gear ratios

i thought because in the 1/4 mile track you need to use less gears but still be fast.

That saves me having to watch it :p

There's no good reason for not using all of the car's gears, whatever that car may be - unless you haven't got the ratios right. And I mean no reason whatsoever ;)

It's becoming a regular occurance now for new members to take milestone posts... :sly: Glad I don't mind too much for them!
You weren't that close, anyway, 2078TM :dopey: I seem to remember the posts before and after some thousand or another being made in the same minute!

Nice run Pyrelli 👍 see what other cars you can get to break 300mph!

hms90832, please try to use grammar and spelling to the best of your ability - it makes posts so much easier to read.

Leaderboard server still playing up...

Well sorry im only 13 im not a collage graduate like most of you guys are

Look, DE asked nicely (he even said please), so I suggest you try to comply rather than give excuses (and the vast majority of the people on this board are not college graduates or even much older than you).

All we are asking for is third grade grammar - periods, commas, apostrophes and capitalization.

congrats to all new speeds 👍 well done, i was without internet-access for nearly one week, but maybe now i'll try some comebacks.......

HMS, I'm only 13 too. ;)

That was a very nice run there Pyrelli! I remember it took me forever to get my Toyota up to just 306 !

I was talking about the gears. I don't know much about all of the system configurations. Oh and sorry for the offinces. I was kinda mad at the time. Not because of you guys of course.

Cheers to Matt.K, D.E and 2078TM for comments about my run. Spent a while using the Gt-One before giving up and changing to the Bentley instead.

If you don't mind me asking, for anyone who's gone over 350mph, what speed do you reach by the end of the bend? Watching hms's replay helped alot as a marker for what to aim for but I can see from the board there's much faster.

Pyrelli

I seem to remember my Audi R8 is doing 315mph by the end of the corner, on its way to 353mph. It depends a lot on where you hit the nitrous, and what your gears are like in relation to each other.
