Here we go...

BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car '97 @ 309.33mph [screen] [video] [YouTube]

I worked more on the car I mentioned to Dark Elite that required hitting the barrier to break 300, and managed to reduce the threshold for entering the 'power shakes' enough to do it legitimately...

Audi RS 6 '02 @ 320.88mph [screen] [video] [YouTube]

So that's the 4th new car on the board in about as many days. I don't think anyone could have predicted that! :)

MS is that car with 8759HP or 875BHP

Not sure which of my cars you're referring to (neither in the quote match that horsepower figure), but its 875 BHP. All of my power listings use BHP, but because Gran Turismo doesn't put a space between this and the numbers, it often gets misread as '8HP', and then people think I have 8008HP or similar. Theres no cars with even close to that amount of power; if there was, this wouldn't be a 300mph club any more!

sorry I quote the wrong post but I meant the TOMMY in that case
its same the rest youtube video

and that what I thought 875 BHP:)

MS did you see my POST of 365.3

what did you think ? do I have any chance being in the leaderboard or it just like last 2 one:guilty:

And to Pyrelli: Didn't think the 'Scudo could do it. Nice one!

Neither did I until I-Runner managed a miracle. Just a bit before I-R posted the video of the run, I had been trying myself but gave up thinking it was impossible - guess not and now i'm closer to it then ever, though the car is really trying my patience

Well, the Tommy Kaira ZZII shows 857BHP I think, not 875BHP, but I guess thats kind of a moot point as in the settings screen it shows 913BHP anyway. You can be assured that if you think one of my cars has 8000 or such BHP, then you're misreading it, heh.

Well, I personally think it's clear enough to see what's happening and the wheels do look grounded to me, but at the end of the day, it's not my decision to make. 👍

As a side note, the clearest way I find of telling if the car wheelied or not using photomode is to use an angle around the front right of the car (ie: towards the outside barrier), get the camera completely on the ground, and look underneath the car towards the front left wheel (ie: the wheel on the inside of the track). The cars shadow stops dead down the left hand side of the car, and because of this, looking at the front left from underneath the car makes it very clear to see the relation of the wheel to the track, as the shadows edge acts like a guide line.

I don't think thats necessary in this case, but it's a useful tip to remember nevertheless. :)

Congrats, MS for you new records ,and I notice you use RSH/RSS with full front camber and less rear camber ,is that your secret?:)

No. Every setting is important for the speeds I reach, and every car requires a different approach. The secret is knowing how each setting will affect the car, and then trying to balance them all against each other to achieve the highest speed possible. Something which may be near optimal on one car isn't necessarily the best for another. 👍

I should probably have mentioned that I was going to be away for a couple of days, sorry guys. Never mind, back now...

Firstly, having read through all of the posts I've missed - lots :p - I'd like to stress once again... Do not double-post in this or any other thread, there is an Edit button for a good reason. With that out of the way, on to a very long list of congratulations!

Well done to Pyrelli for slipping in with the Road Car Record before MS gets to post his legitimate run. From that run, I expected something bloody quick but 350mph is simply incredible. Fantastic work with that one, MS, I can't see you having to defend that any time soon!
Nice to see my old McLaren (I'll refer to it as 'mine', it's the one car I brought into the Club myself :dopey:) getting some interest, nice work by Shadow for improving its record and then once again by MS for holding up his reputation.

Now, the Audi RS6 is an interesting addition - of course, 4WD and plenty powerful enough. I once did some idle time-wasting tests at the Nordschleife with an RS4 in high-speed trim, and found it to be a pretty capable car. I should probably have taken that further! So, here's the first Audi road car in the Club... And going extremely quickly, too! Great work, MS!

Pyrelli, here we are with another (technically) new car for the Club - and it's perilously close to MS's Skyline record in the V-SpecII Nur. Excellent work.

For those who thought the Club was slowing down.. Hehe.

shangoob, that looks like a legitimate run to me too. Well done.

If anyone spots any errors in the Leaderboard, let me know - it may have done something strange to records of a certain date, but I don't think any problems will arise.

Hey Shangoob you sound over the moon on that one  and rightly so too. Great speed and i'm guessing thats the first one as well - which just adds to it seeing as it's so high!

So congratulations again

Nothing earth shattering, just wanted to improve my 787B speed. 👍

Figure better to edit than do a new post.

First serious attempt with the GT One TS020.... but not the last. (and I have the replay if that's needed)

And a little more....

so, after some fiddeling here are my new speeds:

i pushed my Mitsu 3000GT VR-4 Turbo '95 to 315,71mph

my Tommi Kaira ZZ-II @ 324,77mph

here is the new car: Misubishi 3000GT MR (J) '95 @ 311,04mph, as far as i know, the first MR on the leaderboard.....

my last speed for this update is my pushed speed of my Mitsu 3000GT VR-4 Turbo '98 @ 317,07mph

They probably are all 300mph-capable. At least a lot of them, like the Skylines, are very capable. That's why, as with the Skylines, there's only one record for them. Each different version is on the list of Cars Used with its own highest speed, but they're not classed as records - if they were, we'd end up with petty fights over every single little-bit-different car :p

DE

i don't think that the 3000GT SR can co it, because it's NA, and not Turbo like all others......the MR is low powered for a 300mph-car, and i fear that the SR has even less power! but prove me wrong *gg*

Question...

I forgot to snap a pic of the session screen for a 355+ run with the GT One. I do of course have the replay saved, my question is, can you use a snapshot of the speed in the display or does it have to be the session image?

Just curious is all, I know it says it in the rules, but I was wondering if it has ever come up before in a pinch so to speak. I don't care that much as I know I can go faster than the 355 mark and will make damn sure to get the session pic. 👍

Thanks,

Got to have a Session Record photo, I'm afraid - nothing else is accurate or consistent enough.

Ya I thought that given the top speed recording issues the session photo would be the word. Thanks.

K, onto 260 it is then...:nervous:

A little update.. to my best :O Road car speed ..

Tommy Kaira ZZ2 .. 334.02 Mph

EDIT

...New (more or less) CAR for the LeaderBoard :)

... after the sedan from  MasterStorm ...
here it is my Station Wagon :dopey: ...

Audi RS 6 Avant '02 311.47 mph (501.24 km/h)

Ciao

Well I finally got a car over 300. I took Minolta 89 up to 335 yeah me! :)

well done to all new speeds 👍 i'm currently working on a brand new car for the leaderboard, at the moment i'm @ 293,xx mph, but it'll be a hard fight for the last 7mph......

viper

Nice work, guys 👍

Am I right in saying the RS 6 Avant is slightly heavier than the saloon version?
