The ZZ-II speed doesn't worry me too much, as my record was set with 200kg of ballast attached. I also noticed something in your run that might allow me to push another car over 300mph (something in your aerodynamic setup). 👍

ouch, MStorm will be angry about this............be prepared for his revenge Pyrelli!!

i also did some testing yesterday, and topped two of my personal speeds, pics to come.........

I know there must be some good reason for this, but still...
That is a class record we're talking about here, so... Congratulations for the huge increase, Pyrelli! 👍

you must be ready this time ,don't miss it (you know?)

Cheers Viper and D.E for the congrats!

I've got a feeling that I won't be holding onto this one for long, but i'm pretty confident i'll be able to put up a challenge seeing as I didn't do anything with the suspension and the gearing was a bit funny.

The car really suprised me how it just picks up speed after coming round the corner. I'm assuming you've noticed but around 310mph the rate of acceleration dips then suddenly increases again, have no idea why but i'm lucky it did (I checked very carefully it wasn't a wheelie). I'll get back onto the Skyline when I have the time and hopefully be able to work something out.

MS has definitely got one up on me though; the speed i've been aiming for is for the fastest Bentley Speed 8 which might as well be MS's

Me neither...

Tommy Kaira ZZII '00 @ 346.00mph [screen]

I have a feeling I brushed the barrier coming out of the corner though, which would make it an invalid run. That's with about 5 attempts trying out a new theory, so I'll get round to setting an official speed once my exams are out of the way.

Well done on your record! 👍

I broke 360mph in the Bentley back in November (although I never submitted, too close to wheelie to call). It'd be interesting if we could get some competition going on that one again, so your more than welcome to try and beat it.

be prepared for his revenge Pyrelli!!

Not wrong :scared:

I've got exams on at the moment as well so I guess we'll both be on the case for the Tommy Kaira and Bentley after they're done (about a month for me) - would be nice if we could get more people joining in on going for the Bentley record. I think it's safe to assume 2078TM will be in on this as well ;)

You absolute bloody nutter... :D
So, was that the car you were talking about in the PM? Get to work, and stay off the walls :p Good luck!

Ah, you see, this is what happens when you mid-mount an RB26DETT engine to a lightweight chassis and body, and run it through ATTESA-ETS... :trouble:

you rule D.E ,you are the king  of this thread
Well... Thanks... :dopey: but the real kings are the makers of these obscenely quick speeds - once again I get the feeling I'm in the presence of greatness...

Nope, the one I mentioned in the PM is a completely new car for the board, and currently requires contact with the wall to break 300mph. On the other hand, the 346mph setup for the Tommy Kaira ZZII should be reproducible without brushing the barrier. It's just a matter of hitting the right run. 👍

BTW, MS, I may have missed it... But in what car did you pass 300MPH in first gear?
I would bet on it being the Chaparral 2D.. Actually, I can remember seeing the video anyway :p
If it does it with three gears, why not one?

Nice work, shangoob, looking forward to seeing your video... :)

Not quite MS's 346mph but i've had another go and raised my speed:

Tommy Kaira ZZII - 342.63mph

As usual my recorder has made it quite dark so turn up the brightness for better clarity. There's a point where I swerve a little in the tunnel and it looks like i've hit the wall but I haven't (I've taken shots at that point so you lot can judge for yourselves). If you want to know why, I find changing direction helps to keep the rate of acceleration up when it's about to dip.

I did 305.10mph in first egar with the Chaparral 2D. The video of the run is available on my YouTube account.

Once verified, that would give you the first official road car over 340mph. I guess I'll just have to take it to the next notch. :scared:

Tommy Kaira ZZII '00 @ 350.65mph [screen]

I'm pretty sure I can push the car further, it's just a question of how much. 👍

Now that is a speed and a half

Congratulations MS and just shows what a bit of competition can do. The top speed for the Tommy Kaira has gone up by a good 20mph in just the last 2 weeks.

I'm pretty sure I can push the car further, it's just a question of how much. 👍

I'll take that as a hint to keep on going with the high speed runs, but I have to admit what you've done goes beyond just raising the bar. It also intrigues me how on your runs you keep your car 'on the spot' all the way (i'm guessing the car's doing the same thing for both of us). I'll make it a task to figure it out how and why between revising.

Once again though, congrats on the new speed! 👍

Pyrelli

Congratulations to all the new speeds. 👍

It's been quite a while since there's been competition for new records.

💡 Maybe I'll attempt something new 💡

And I got little job for MasterStorm, passed your McLaren record.

BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car 309.27mph
Here we go...

BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car '97 @ 309.33mph [screen] [video] [YouTube]

I worked more on the car I mentioned to Dark Elite that required hitting the barrier to break 300, and managed to reduce the threshold for entering the 'power shakes' enough to do it legitimately...

Audi RS 6 '02 @ 320.88mph [screen] [video] [YouTube]

So that's the 4th new car on the board in about as many days. I don't think anyone could have predicted that! :)

350mph in a Roadcar? you guys are insane *gg* 👍

well done MStorm, you really pushed the ZZII over a big barrier...........and also well done with the RS6, haven't thought of it yet

Finaly I got 365.36 on GT one~
I will post the video soon as possible

and that was the screenshot

this is the display video link showing the GT one~ with 365.3 mph(I recorded directly from Reply Theatre after I saved the replay) Display 365.3

And the second one is showing at Photomode

note: the video is dark soyou need to make some contrast and brightness on your screen

Shanggob, nice speed.

One comment on photomode, though. Your last set of pictures are taken at around 360MPH as the car is slowing down from 365, at which point the nose will come down. The critical point is right at (or slightly before) your top speed.

No problem I will do it again and again and again....until I will become in the 300 mph leaderboard :)

Finally got up to speed with my Skyline, used a few lessons learnt from tuning the Escudo (within touching distance of 300mph) and the Tommy Kaira.

Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec '99: 324.23mph

And to Pyrelli: Didn't think the 'Scudo could do it. Nice one!
