I have to correct, it's not a 300SX, it's a 300ZX I think. Just to prevent any confusion. :)

Soo we havent decided on what 300zx we are doing? im in the middle of installing a HD and HDloader right now so my ps2 is apart.. but i would be happy to check this out this weekend and give the top speed challenge a shot.

prolly the 300zx twin turbo, the year i am not sure of, due to i cant locate one...... :banghead: , but ill get it soon enough, and yes GTA san andreas is a very good game, they need to make a new gta, not this liberty city stories crap for the psp.......

Most likely, the best one would be the '89 and not the '98 for a couple reasons.
  1. The '89 weighs less. When coupled with the fact that they put out the same BHP or so...
  2. The '89 revs higher because PD can't get it thorugh there heads that the 300ZX had 300 BHP all through it's life but more torque towards the end of it's life. THis made it so it didn't need to rev as high so they could lower the revs to save fuel.
  3. The '89's peak BHP is slightly higher in the revs.
 
Toronado, about your research into the 300's. I agree with all that you said, but what about what you didn't say... What about torque ranges?

In fact, although it's obvious there will be another one, Rockstar hasn't actually announced any plans for a new GTA.

But I'm happy, because Nissan did announce plans for a new GT-R :lol: and it's sweet... :drool:

That is a very good question that I also couldn't figure out. What exactly did you update, DE? :lol:
Also, DE, I never said sorry for starting the 2nd TVR war between you and Rac3rX. I probably shouldn't said anything about my views of the TVR or raised the issue of nither it nor the R390 GT1 at all. So, sorry DE.

the_garynator/O_B, your runs aren't there yet because the R92CP video wasn't clear enough and I still haven't got the exact speed for the R390, when I get one or the other the respective speed will go up 👍

Not to worry Toronado, it was probably going to come up anyway! It's in the past, gone, finished, done, so don't worry about it! Doesn't matter who started it, just that the mods finished it.

well, what if you others use '89 300ZX, whereas I'll use my 6.2mile '98 300ZX.. after all, it has almost as much power as Supra, so i think it'll be more likely to make past 300 mph. i got close before my previous GT4 copy got demolished and i lost my setings, so I'm back at screen zero.. :banghead: oh well, gotta give some advantage for you guys, right? :sly:

Octane, in all respect, it was established that the vid in your sig was not only a wheelie, but a possible triple wheelie and confirmed double wheelie, more than 200 posts ago, by both me, Leonidae, Rac3rX and DE, not counting TeamQuick who just watched it and determined that it was a wheelie.
 
DE, well, I have plenty of 6.2mi examples in my carage, including fiat 500R! what a beast.. not! :lol: maybe i should count all my 6.2mi Skylines, just to spread some salt to your wounds.. ;) oh well, I'll do it anyways.. gotta make a list of my 6.2 mi cars.. and post it somewhere.

300ZX '98 is currently doing 295-297 mph. see? it's only a matter of time.

now, all I need to do is get there first and snap a pic of it. :nervous: or someone else will take the record of fastest V6 production car instead of me.. the i6 record went to someone else with supra.. :ouch: :banghead:
