how fast can that go?

Lotus Esprit Sport 350 can do 310-315 mph.. which isn't bad for a car that was originlly designed in the late 80's and hasn't changed much since that.

damianb
where can i buy that car? is it only from used car lots? or can you buy them new?

Toyota GT-One is in the Toyota "classic" Lot (The Black GT-one shows up in the Used car Lots)

Lotus Espirit 350 is a New car in the Lotus Lot

maybe i should count all my 6.2mi Skylines, just to spread some salt to your wounds..
More like acid! Yay, I'm in your quote box :D

damianb, the Esprit is not a recommendable first-time 300mph car. The best car to start out with is the Toyota 88C-V, which can be won from the El Capitan 200mile Enduro. The race is easy to do, and good fun if you're not the kinda guy who takes LMPs to it, so it's worth doing anyway.

the_garynator... Up to you if you want to be slow, the record won't go up until you post the vid so take your time if you like!

Quite amusing that although a page has been used up, the only new record is the Honda Element  let's get the Esprit war back on, or start up the 300ZXs! 👍

ok, as soon as i get 25% ill go do the endurance races, not 25% yet, lol, how pathetic, lol

can you please post settings you used to get it(Toyota 88C-V) to go 300mph

idea about the leaderboard:

I just thought of something, maybe if the people dont mind giving away their settings, maybe you could put a link in the car column with a link to his/her settings for that car so other people could stride to get as good

I wont hold my breath for the LSR Video :odd:

Whats the Fastest Hybrid?

If there is a Element LSR war, maybe a Hybrid LSR war would be cool to.

Prolly the easiest way to get close to or even over 300mph with the 88c-v is to:
1. adjust the final to max on your tranny
2. adjust your auto up to like 23
3. adjust your final back down to like 3.5
4. lower you back end and put max down force on the back.
5. put NOS to the max for back straight
6. drive

adjust the front springs / downforce / ride height will help with top end... yet wheelie's may occur.

i managed 302mph in my espirit V8  it is a very basic setup i think it can go faster with someone who knows what there doing. it was not done on the max speed test just around the test track dont know if it still counts.

buy the best of everything about 841bhp

the suspinsion is racing but i didnt adjust it

the gearbox fully custimisable

1st 2.460
2nd 1.471
3rd 0.994
4th 0.716
5th 0.602

final 3.100

auto 25

driving aids

oversteer off
understeer off
traction control on 3

when doing this you need nitro on full.
accelerate till the first corner. hold it in 4th through the corner as soon as you come out of the bend release R2 and press nitro you should reach 300 just before the 2nd corner on the test track. as pic shows

1. For LM Cars Forget the tranny trick! First thing is to up the Auto to 25 and Drop the Final to a few hundred clicks above the lowest point (You come back here when fine tuning) For Street cars do the Same, max out the Auto to its limit & Dropping the Final a few Hundred clicks above the Lowest point.

2. Drop the Spring Rate all arround

3. Jack the Front all the way up, and Drop the rear all the way down.

4. lower the front SB leave the Front SRB, Leave the rear SB, but increases the rear SRB a bit.

5. For Camber Increase the front and Drop the rear a Bit

6. Generaly you want her a Little loose so Dropping the Strenth of the Stabalizers helps, (but if shes too loose tighten her up)

7. DO NOT Give FUll rear DF, and Low Front DF on LM Cars (Wheelie anybody?) Drop it all the way down Front and Back (But Play with this, My GT-One is faster low DF front and back, and my 88cv's faster Full DF Front and Back). Increasing it to full will generate MORE "Churchill" effect then Having it dropped. Unless its a Street car, Street cars wont wheelie, so Putting Full rear DF and 0 Front makes her go quite a bit quicker, but IS NOT recomended for LM cars. So Its best to Drop it always and come back to it when fine tuning.

8. Full Accell LSD & Just under stock settings for Initial Tq, I like to Drop the LSD Decell, but it dont really matter, usually mine look like 50/60/15

9. Full Nitrous

Now you have a High speed Set up on your Car, all you have to do is fine tune it, make adjustments throught the set up to maximize her speed ablity.

Fisrt step in fine tuning is the gears. Grab 6th, and Bring her all the way up, then Play with the 5th Dropping her a bit, and increasing and decreasing the Final drive. The Goal is to have your 6th gear hit the rev limiter at the same point you run out of Nitrous, and to have this occure as close to the finish line as possible.

Once you feel your gears are good, play with EVERYTHING to try and get as much out of her as possible.

this thread is still rolling ? wow...
Hey, we're not stopping until we top 1000 posts! And then, we won't stop until 2000  we will never give up in the quest for speed!

damianb, about the settings on the leaderboard... I suppose it's possible, but I don't think it'd be worth it because it's so much more gratifying to reach your top speed without using other people's settings... Which is why I'm not going to give you 300mph 88C-V settings :p someone else might though.

TeamQuick, I don't like hybrids much... Kinda cheating in my book, but if you want to post hybrid speeds here just make sure they're clearly marked as such. Then I don't mind, just don't expect to go on the leaderboard :)

I mean Like the Primus, you know the Electro/Gas cars, Not Hybrids made from cheating.

Well done to those who have taken 300mph+ speeds! Sorry I missed the Esprit V8, I typed extremely slowly and it seems you posted before I'd finished my reply, wheres the mini so nicely done! It's a nice change to see someone using the Esprit V8 instead of the Sport 350 version 👍 it must be fast if you can do that without adjusting the chassis! Great picture, by the way. We usually take a photo of the session record screen, but with quality like that you can do in-run photos. Not for records though.

**Leaderboard updated**

Hybrids as in concept cars etc. etc. are allowed.

Hybrids as in Hybrids (Not sure what you mean by "Hybrids as in Concept cars ect")

Im talking about a Hybrid war (Maybe not in here as I dont see them hiting anywhere neer 300mph though)

I mean any car that is in the game without use of any cheats or glitches etc. etc. that modify the car outside of the game's own settings, if you know what I mean. So no ARMAX users with 50,000bhp or stuff like that. What do you define as a Hybrid?

What is the fastest non nos lsr. I got the GT1 to 324.XX mph. And how do i prove that i dident use nos?

A video of the run (THe Nitrous meter wont be there if its not equiped)

And where is the 369mph LSR Vid

You moved to the No Nitrous LSR, whats the deal with the LSR?

Something smells Fishy :odd:

And its Funny that you still have the Wheelie Run as a LSR in your Sig (Cant be too lazy to update it, as you added your Element LSR)

lol

These Steps will make a 300mph car out of most LM cars and get you to the Cars limits.
