Can someone see if they can get the ford GT racecar( the newer one) to go 300. Its got over 950hp so I think it might be able to

It is capable. Why wouldnt it be? its got the power, its got the right shapre(the car), and the thing can almost get there with mild tuning. It got loads of low end torque

New car, same color, dont know about the other one though, you can try it. Not sure on what kind of power it makes...

...Which could well be its downfall, as with many American cars... The GT40 in Gulf colours isn't capable, I'm pretty sure of that. The GT in Gulf colours is unlikely, and the GT SpecII in Gran Turismo White is possible. I'd be interested to see.

Just as I'd be interested to see your latest video, Opendriver, but for some reason it's not loading! That's twice I've tried to look at a video in the morning, and twice it's not worked properly. I will watch it later tonight :indiff: I've no idea why it's doing that, but it is, so for now I'll put up your previous speed, 366.12.

...It's interesting that a lot of people say that the World Record was probably illegit - I assure you it wasn't, the speed was 100% legitimate. Believe me, if there was any way whatsoever I could disallow it I would have done: none of us wanted him at the top. But I look forward to him being taken down :)...

Sorry to stir this up, I was just commenting on the fact that their seemed to be a lot of suspicion surrounding his run, especially the reports of 'editing' in the video, someone pointed this out I think. In no way am I saying that you didn't do your job properly DE, but yes, let's hope he'll be downed anyway!

At last, someone is threatening the LSR. To everyone who has broken a recent record, keep going & well done!👍

i have a brand-new damn fast R8-speed, has to be checked by D.E., but i think it must be legal!!

my project is @ 294,73mph, and i think it won't go any further..... :ouch: :ouch:

Well,, I wanted to attack a few records a while ago,, but I'm very busy working on my gallery here,, and some other things of course,, Also I don't have any idea of which car I should try to reach 300mph with,, Any suggestions? Oh well,, good job on the new speeds opendriver

Im going to be away from my PS2 till monday so one of the GT's are 300mph worthy. We just have to find the right one...
 
forget about the Pagani Zonda LM race-car........i brought it to 292,xx mph, no chance to push it further! the Vanquish V12 is also not capeable!

You did, because the speedo in the car rounds the figure to the nearest mile per hour, which was 367 at the end of that run ;)

Opendriver, your 366.92mph video is working for me now, so watching it...

I was kinda pissed when that kinda stuff happens. IT SAYS 367 but it tells you it under 367 by .08. PD, you need to make things a little more realistic!:irked:

Sweet now I have to edit my sig again. Im not to sure how much further I can go. Those setting's I PM'd you were almost spot on except for one minor detail that Ill leave for you to figure out;)

Well I had High Hope to see this reach atleast 280's, but my Buick Special only managed 262.62... This beast cannot take corners no matter what you do to it.

Well, I have been reading over the thread for a few days now and I remember saying that I will try this car. I got it up to 285mph but no more. This car just cant take the friggin' corner at all! :grumpy:

Edit: Opendriver, your sig is pretty tiny....go big!! Elaborate!
 
Deathwish, if you want a challenging car that can go past 300mph, try 300ZX'98, 6.2miler of course. i banged my head against the wall for two years before I managed to do it..
 
This thread sounds like fun. I never played GT4 enough to hit 300mph yet so I definetly want to try this. I will go over the rules and see what I can do about getting a car to go this 300+.
I am going to dust GT4 off and play for at least 1 day this weekend. Hmm what car to start with. :confused: Mabey the 69 Camaro for the heck of it? I dont think it has the aero to hit 300 but I could try for fun.

LoL Leo,, I think I might try that,, could you pm me some starting settings ( which don't reach 300mph yet!!) So I can improve them,, I still don't have the 6.2 miler:(
