IIRC the power curve of Escudo has very steep slope, flat curve in the middle, low power before and after that.........
👍 for making a gear that can match that.

last friday i tought i'd take an attempt to break the 300mph ..

so , around 00.30 at night I started with a 'standard' Mercedes CLK GTR Race Car ..

I got it to about 414km/h without any power/nos upgrades so I bought those ..
Then my speeds got higher and higher (lowering , tranny adjusting,nos maxed out...).. 440 - 460 - 465 - 471 - ... and then finally(at 02.30 AM) I got it to 480.75km/h :)

I was happy that I could go to sleep because I tought I had broken the 300mph barrier ... although , after a bit of math this morning I realized I'm not quite there yet :scared:

480.75km/h = 298.70 mph :grumpy:

So I'll try again today and post the speed here ...

And just a little question , does it matter to fit other tyres ? because i tried with racing medium and racing hard but didn't notice any speed diff ?

I have done it at 310.10 MPH and here's the setup I used, and to verify this claim you may also use this setup until I can develop the picture..I'm kinda broke and have no digicam on me...

Setup for a Toyota Minolta 88C-V Race Car '89 | 1164 HP Turbo 4 Kit installed and NOS:

Four things I messed around with:

First off is the suspension:

The only thing I changed is the Ride Height which are both set at 55mm

Second is the tricky part and has to do with the Transmission:

1st: 4.993
2nd: 3.094
3rd: 2.150
4th: 1.459
5th: 1.147
6th: 0.869

Final: 2.683

Auto: 22

Third is Downforce:

Setting the downforce to very low on both

And finally, the NOS setting should be maxed at 70

The goal was to reach 240 on 6th gear @ 6500RPM and then apply NOS on the backstretch since NOS gets used up quick. The car will feel like it's hydroplaning as with the low downforce and the feeling that the car is gonna take off is prevalent in this setup. So when going into the first turn, you should stick high, after rounding out the turn, hit the NOS and I pretty much went to speeds higher than I thought I would.

Try that, and you should be hitting 300MPH by the time you're halfway down the backstretch.

I'll try and get the picture done, I'm gonna try the Photo shooting replay and see if it works. Have fun and remember to save it as a different Set than your normal racing set...

Actually, I've applied some special rules for the Escudo, as a lot of us have had trouble with it. But thanks, and well done with your Speed 12 👍

jip i know the Nardo-wars, but this project was really personal and mental for me, so i'm not sure about telling you all. no hard feelings against any of you!! you've become a second family for me, it's always fun to look here and talk with you, but i don't know if i'll tell you......sorry.

oh, D.E., could you please check your SS-PM's?? i have a new setup for you to check for legality......i think it should be legal, and if so, it would be a new record for a specific car.

Hmm....true Opendriver. I want to try using the Saleen to get past 300mph but since I've been really busy with math, I can't....

Anyways, what happened with your LSR pursuit!?
 
Ah, come on guys, the thread isn't dying. I've got a feeling it'll never die :dopey:

We have quiet parts and busy times, I've come to learn when they are, right now it's fairly quiet because its the middle of the week, so everyone's working or at school, and at the weekends everyone still under education is revising for their end-of-year exams. You wait until the summer holiday starts, I won't be able to keep up! :)

Long story short, I returned my capture thingy. Im going to get one that does sound too. Mine only had 3 ports on it and one of them was a headphone like jack and one was an S-video and the last one was a regular RCA video in.
I fond one like it with 3 RCA inputs, L audio, R audio and video, so ill be able to do sound and whatnot. No update on the no no LSR, ive given up on that and moved on to other things, like the ring. Just taking some cars out there and seeing how fast I can go.

I think there might be some room for improvement....but thats a whole nother' thred!

Oh yeah, so far my PS3 fund has grown to 75 dollars, soon to have around 350 for selling my PSP, games and movies, anyone want it?

Yep! I think it was ornado who did it, I sommewhat still give myself credit for the idea. Just read all of the rules in post #1 and youu will be ood to go

I still think the GT 02 racecar can do it...only got it to 284, im sure someone can do it.

Open, how did you get a 366.92 but be slower into and out of the tunnel than my run....and have nitrous left over? (I go into the tunnel at 326-327, out at 351 and use all my nitrous, while you go in at 319 and out at 348 and have 1 bar of nitrous left) It's confusing the heck out of me!

Its all in the gearing, if you really want to ill be a bad person and PM you the settings, just take down rac3rX. Thats all I ask for:)

I think I tried the RUF CTR2 at some point, Viper, and I don't think I got very far either. Can't remember exactly what I did, but it wasn't close enough to make me think it's capable.
