Edit: Just tried both racing Z's (option stream and motul racer)
The stream has 962 hp and got it to 291
and the motul to 290,BUT! this is a small difference The motul has a smaller engine and is lighter. The stream has a 3.7L as aposed to the motul's 3L.
im sure one of you guys is going to do one of them

I´ve also tried both of these cars, and I concluced none of them where capable. I can´t remember what I got the Option Stream to do, but the Motul Pitwork peaked at 293.
Maybe the Z LM can do it? Gotta try!

The Option Stream is not actually a racecar, it´s a tuner concept IIRC. The stage 5 gives you less turbolag, but also slightly less hp.

Opendriver, this time I can't see that pic... That's why you should write the speed and car as well :lol: I assume it's a slightly improved R8 speed?

Oh yes, I've tried the Stream Z, and didn't get very far, 290-ish sounds right, but not the Motul Pitwork. It's in my garage somewhere, I might attack it one day. As it happens, I was going through my garage yesterday, and saw that car and thought, 'maybe' :)
You forgot about that Fairlady LM Race Car thing by GT, the red, white and blue one. But that's best forgotton about.

By my experience, Stage 5 is a Turbo with about the same power as the Stage 4, but slightly more torque and a larger power range. I think the Four usually gives better results for top speed, but I've never done a side-by-side test.

None of those speeds can be put on the leaderboard, sorry.
The first one because it's over 350mph, so requires a video
The second one because it's a claimed non-nitrous run in a car that can take nitrous, so that requires a video as well.
The third one because it's inaccurate (not an accepted method)

Off topic: I was eyeballing you site (nice!), and noticed you were looking for stats on a Stratos. Found that yet? If not, this page might be helpful.
 
Nice speeds everyone and 'hello' :lol: superhereo! What was the leaderboard glitch by the way?

I havn't managed to get onto that R8 today so it seems it will have to wait till the weekend. Dark Elite will only have the lead over me for a few days, but not for long (hopefully!)

Yeah, I have tried the Z LM, it was a long time ago but I think it was a fair way off. Doesn't look good for the JGTC cars.

I spotted an extra column, Ghost, because I'd put one too many tags on B_B_B's speed. Team666 saw it too, I took it out yesterday :)

Thanks for the comments on my site, 666! It hasn't been updated for a very long time, three months at least, but I might start doing it again, to push myself a bit harder in HTML! And sort out the colour scheme, which makes your moniter look like it's been coated in radioactive fluid :lol:

If you want such an effect, keep the red, and replace the yellow with a bright greenish colour. That will look seriously sick, as in nausiating.

I had a go at the 300mph thing after reading your thread. Everyone can have a good laugh at me because I got to 100% and 10,000 A-spec points before finding out how to switch the nitrous on: came as a real boost the first time I used it! Fantastic, and thank you!

Starting with my own ideas about what would give the best speeds rather than adopting others' settings, I got to the magic 300 using an oil change, R1/R1 tyres, zero camber, low ride heights, nitrous 70, and neither downforce, LSD, nor driving aids, and playing with gearing to get the best speed. I succeeded with eight at one sitting:

I failed with the Toyota 7, the Mazda 787B, BRM, and the Peugeot and Jaguar (no nitrous). With other settings published here, the ones I've tried all make things VERY light at the front. I've had my fronts well off the ground with the Minolta 88C-V at 352.62 mph (how did I steer?) so I don't claim that. Also can't quite get there with Tommy Kaira (292mph)

Got a long way to go yet! Kinda funny for a retired anaesthetist to still be using nitrous, even if it's not in the usual way.

Can I join the club?

My frustrations abound! I have 347!!! Curse my lack of digital camera port (the computer it's connected to is KIA and is in the process of me fixing it).
When it's done I'll put up the silly fast Pescarolo speed.

Now, go get the BMW V12 LMR and see what you can do! I got it to 333.xxx yesterday, but I´ll finetune it before I post a pic.
 
As I said in my PM to you, Kilooloogung, your tuning method will work for some cars to an extent, but is not the best method.

If you don't mind me saying so, no offence, I hate you for posting so many speeds at once :lol:

It's the '03. I'm too cheap to buy the statistically faster car with a worse exhaust note, crappy paint and tire wear that is merely brilliant instead of "engine will explode before tires wear out". And why would I want the V12 LMR? It ruined the '99 Le Mans 24 hours! :lol:

Alright, that settles it then, I´m really scared of you now! :) How on earth did you do 347 in that car??? I thought my 330 was good...
The V12 LMR is still a very good car, and fast at that, so a try couldn´t hurt, could it?

The Saubar can´t carry NOS, The Gillet sucks and like you said, the Panoz is not worth the effort, although I have it.

LMP:
Audi R8, Pescy ´03, Pescy ´04, BMW V12 LMR, Bentley Speed 8 (Actually GTP)
GT1:
Toyota GT1 TS020, Nissan R390, Merc CLK-GTR(LM), Panoz, McLaren F1 and I think the Vertigo belong here too.
GTS:
Oreca Viper, C5R, Lister Storm, Zonda, BMW M3 GTR, Ford GT, Honda NSX LM, Nissan GTR, Falken Skyline, Nissan fairlady Z LM, Mazda RX-7 LM, Mazda RX-8 LM, Maybe the Honda S2000 LM racecar fits in too.
Group C:
Jaguar XJR-9, Mazda 787B, Nissan R89C, Nissan R92CP, Peugeot 905, Toyota Minolta 88C-V, Sauber C9
That´s it I think. Not all of these cars are capable of 300 though.
 
Toronado, massive respect to you for managing that in the 2003! Mental... There must be some serious flaws in my setup!

Leave the V12 LMR alone, I've got a 1:18 full-metal model of it one the top of my bookcase, and it looks better than it does in the game! Then again, if I put an R8 next to it, shame on the Beemer :lol:

About the car possibility lists, I have a mental one but never written them down, so I might miss a few...
Group C - Nissans R89c and R92CP (B), Mazda 787B (B), Toyota 88C-V.
I've thought about buying the Jag. Not the 905, it's got an evil gearbox.

LMP - Audi R8, Pescarolo 2003, my god I've ran out... I'm considering a V12 LMR though, much cheaper than it's rivals too.

GT1 - Toyota TS020 (B), Nissan R390 Race (B), Merc CLK-AMG-GTR-etc..., McLaren F1.

As you can see, I base myself on trying out new cars rather than racing with the racers :lol:

Just tried the CR5
it was 1 million and plus the turbo and the "uber soft"
It was more like 1.15 mil
anywho got it to 293 and that just me tunning it, imsure onw of you guys is figure it out.

on a side note: i think we should have top speed "classes"
like the fastet FR or the fastest MR or non-turbo non-nos
or just fastest american car or german ect.

Seems possible... I'll have a go right now in fact. I'll keep exactly the same settings, just turn NOS off and see what occurs :)

You can't buy the R92CP except as a Black, and you can't buy the 88C-V at all, so I assume you mean money for the races to win them :p

EDIT - Evil, evil, evil... Just done a run with the exact same settings, and got 299.93mph! Going again...

EDIT2 - Same settings, just a repeat run, in the Audi R8 Without Nitrous, 300.40mph.

What for, a non-NOS 300+ or a top speed with the bottle?
So that you know, Non Nitrous speeds need a video for verification, so I wouldn't do it to get on the 'board!
