They're both tough nuts to crack, but you'll get there eventually. I'm fascinated by this '1-gear-goes-to-300MPH' car, even though it's a aeroducted fridge on wheels, I might give it a go...

Yeah I really can't work out the 88C-V. I saw Team666's settings for it, and they were near identical to mine. I just run different toe and camber settings. However I need 63 front downforce to stop it lifting. :(

I've run the Chaparral at over 305mph now (using only first). I'll update the video later.

I might be trying a new car later, but I have no idea if it's capable of 250, let alone 300. :D

Too get thins started a bit again.. I decided to run two cars I have already done,, and improve their speeds by a quite respectable margin.. I'm already on the board with both DE,, but these speeds are a bit better,, So you can/must delete my old ones.. Sorry dor bothering you with that..:)

Minolta Toyota 88-CV

Audi R8

I know,, they aren't that good,, but these were done in about 20-30 minutes of tuning,, ( For me that's fast),, too get things started again,, I'm not chasing the record or anything:)

No worries, it's easier to modify current speeds than post new ones anyway :) Nice going 👍

No records of an R8 speed from you, Deathwish, so the one added in now is the 250th entry!

Holly hell, I just found this list ans there are a few cars that have some serious potential. I think im going to try some of the cars on it...

But on the other hand, some of the cars we have already tried and they cant make it. Now all we have to do is make a little list seeing what cars we HAVE done and cars we HAVENT DONE. and just check off the ones we already know that cant make it

ill start trying for it when i get to 100% game completion[82% right now] that way i dont feel guilty that im wasting time when i could be getting some more done.

Yes,, Opendriver taht is a fantastic idea,, SOme that almost made it can probably be pushed over the edge,, what I learned,, is that timing of nitro usage is on of the most important things at the track..

BTW: Viper,, I decided to give that Mazda a go too,, And after about 3 hours? I'm at 299.85 mph,, frustrating really cause I did hit the 300.06 mph one time,, but my ps2 flipped,, It went out,, Oh well.. I'm sure I can make it..
I would be happy if I get 300.00 mph with that thingy.. Very hard too tune:)

Ah yes, I saw that a while ago. Surely you won't let it take away the job of your imagination? :p Bear in mind that power isn't a guarantee of performance for this sort of thing. *cough* Escudo *cough*

Just glancing at the list for our purposes, well, 4 of the bottom 6 are 300mph Club members and plenty of the 1000bhp + cars have been proven incapable. I can't spot a particular car that makes me think, 'I must test that', as most of them I have already :p but go ahead :sly:

*looks indignant* Hey, that's my honour
Well, I got it first :)

Bigracer
i hope the 399 number is a typo otherwise we can start thinking about a 400-club.
Wouldn't be the first time Deathwish has done that :p

DE

nice list, but as D.E. said, most of them have already been tried and proven that they can't do it!

you'll get the 300mph with the Mazda GT4_rule, i know that 👍

and good luck for your Mazda-try deathwish, it's a hard car, but i think the MB was a lot harder!

EDIT: i'll checked the list with our leaderboard, and there are some cars missing on the list:
~ GT-One
~ Nissan R390 road/racecar
~ Nissan R89c
~ BMW F1 GTR
~ Jaguar XJR-9
and which Pesky does he mean with "Pescarolo Sport"?? '03 or '04?

and D.E. there is no Toyota 7 in the car-list @ the board, and i'm sorry, but my RX-8-speed is not on the board.....

Viper
my RX-8-speed is not on the board...
Really? *checks database* Right you are, sorry about that... It should have been put up :( I'll get it sorted!

EDIT - Just found your previous post telling me about that... #3315, which I must have totally missed... Sorry!

Thanks for pointing out the Toyota Seven as well

Just did a 300+ in the Honda NSX-R Prototype LM Race Car, with the rear end shooting sparks off all the way down the back straight!

How do you all approach suspension/downforce for high speed runs. Personally I go for highest front, lowest rear, softest possible suspension and max downforce all round, lowering the front downforce until it lifts. One thing I've noticed though, is that this works very badly on the GT-One (I cant make even 340mph this way). Just wonder if there's an alternative approach?

I know that the Nuvolari Quatro on that list can't make 300mph, as it cannot have a turbo fitted. It's hard to even do 250mph in it.

I thought we weren't allowed to make the front end lift? or do you mean while keeping all 4 tires on the ground?

Also, what is the absolute top speed so far? even with a wheelie...going backwards, all that, just no cheats.

There is an alternative approach ofcourse,, but I always use "the almost wheelie setting" And go from there,, It depends on the car really..

EDIT: Reached some new speeds:):D,, and I'm quite happy with them..

BTW, DE.. have you tried adapting 300mph GT-R settings into the GT-R concept racecar yet? I have an itch that it might work.

damn deathwish, you've beaten me with the Mazda! good work anyway!

thanks D.E. for putting my speed up! 👍

i'm curious about your work Leo, go on.......

Seems I have some experimenting to do...

Whoops, when I said lowering the front down force until it lifts, I then mean turning it back up one notch so it was as close to lifting as possible, but not actually lifting.

Experiments to find the 'other' approach to aerodynamic setup.

I have one vein of thought going already, which involves lowering the rear downforce rather than the front to prevent the bouncing of the car.

*ears perk up*
Hmm, I had tried the GT-R LM Race Car Concept thingy before, but gave up on account of it's extremely strange dynamics. I hadn't thought of a direct swap, but I might try it some day :)

Nice going with the RX-8 Race Car, Deathwish! 👍
And Mazda 787B, hmm, picture not showing... *goes into Quote mode*
*copies URL*
Dead link... Is that one working for anyone else? Sorry about that, but I can't display that picture.

Will there be a retaliation from Viper in the Mazda? :p

It works here, I can vouch the screen shows 323.27mph as the speed.

Who says they're the only one working on it ;)
