This guy reckons WRC Generations have some extremely good FFB going on with this wheel, Not happening in any other game or with other wheels. Anyone else played with WRC Generations?

If what he is saying is correct it could bode very well for future games.

Same on Forza Horizon 5 - PS5:

1 week in my wheel would quite, lights out and into the wall mid game, happened frequently, TM support liked jumping through a hundred hoops, as I was feeling like it was my fault. This wheel has been made cheaply, the power connectors were diagnosed with pictures I sent. after 2 weeks I decided to Amend this design flaw. The problem is the base connector pins the center pin seamed shorter. TM support is blind

you get what you pay for, " cheap build quality" had to repair connector fault at base , no help from TM support, I like the feel but that when it is working, couldn't get one complete lap in, I certainly regret not spending a bit more for a better wheel from a better manufacturer

check out youtube, search TM T598 power cutting out, I had the same thing, got some generic reply like" cord plug end damaged".
Damaged by WHO!
Found the base connector had on pin shorter. after dealing with TM, for who knows how long before any action I repaired it, and probably sell it or toss it in the garbage, note to self: dont by any thrustmaster products.

The power plug is common issue with the wheel, the female pins in the lead plug end spread apart as they are weak metal.

Looking at your last picture of the plug itself, it is exactly what everyone on the TM Discord is experiencing, you can clearly see they have spread apart. See where I have circled, this means they aren't making a tight contact on the wheelbase pin.

I just use a ferrule crimp that I have squared the end on... at the start of each session on the wheel, I just push it over the female pins to tighten them again, it takes two seconds to do, I've not had one disconnection fault at all since I have got the wheel.

I have used the ferrule crimp after seeing everyone else complain about their plugs failing as a precaution and I've not had it fail on me.

This is my fix. Vigorous driving and no problem now. The jumpers I used are the same type of male/female connectors

At least you have a long term work around 👍🏻

Your connectors must be made of a better metal than the ones that come from Thrustmaster

Has anyone found a up to date stand for this yet? My old ebay stand works fine with the wheel, but doesn't have the right holes for the pedals underneath. Is the Next Level Racing Stand Lite 2.0 my only option?

I just drilled holes in mine

Looking to upgrade my T150 for PC/PS.

How are the Raceline pedals in this T598 bundle vs Fanatec's GT DD pro bundle? I can't find a side by side comparison.

On appearance Raceline look better but I don't know which lane to take... I don't like the T598 basic steering wheel and upgrading it's expensive with limited options.

Fanatec's GT wheel I don't like either and if I go base only I'm forced to buy the booster kit (why?!) and a desk mount but the options to upgrade are better. Also I like the quick release system more.

Funny. Just saw another review which trashed that 32cm wheel because it's a 300 euro all-plastic one.

Didn't know aluminium and leather are considered plastic now. Something tells me that the review in question would praise the exactly same wheel for having a high end composite structure or something like that if it had a Fanatec or Moza logo on it.

Can anyone recommend a good rig/stand for the T598? Looking for something that is stable, doesn’t require drilling, and mitigates the height of the wheel base. I have a decent amount of space but may not stay at my current place long term so I am not ready to commit to the full aluminum profile rigs. Ideally would like to keep it under $500.

A bit over budget, but would something like this do for now as you could move it with you easy enough

Appreciate the recommendations and Coffee Racer is some cool stuff. I think I’ve landed on going for the NLR GT Racer 2.0 at $450. This review seems to confirm it is a good pairing specifically with the T598:

I completely agree with him, I played WRC generations exclusively with the T598, and I was blown away with the FFB and all the infos I could get from the wheel. The FFB is really strong with that game.

I also can say the wheel works great with arcade games such as Dirt 5.
Not so much with ACC, which clearly is not working as good as it should.
