After the last two weeks of mad stuff, we're back to the more sedate ( calm, dignified, and unhurried). the event, this week is a theme night. Fittipaldi (Emerson) EF7, a car designed and built by the legend Brazilian F1 driver Emerson Fittipaldi at of course the Brazilian Interlagos track.

Settings 598bhp @ 1000Kg using race medium and race hard tyres, all other settings default.

Race, 24 laps use any mix of tyres but you must do a minimum 5 laps on any one compound.

Room set tuning prohibited. Tyre wear 12x and fuel usage 4x

Details: You should just about get 8 laps out of a tank of fuel, so long as you don't over rev this beast. That makes for a two-stop race. Run on the limiter too much you'll have to modulate fuel map between 1 and 2 that or splash and dash at some point.

I can just about do it with, half to one lap fuel map modulation.

Tyres wear is good, but the race hard tyres don't take to kindly to some of the curbs here @ Lagos.

All in all, it's a nice themed combo, remember smooth is fast.

Welcome geeteye.

Add me on PSN (Add TFN to the message) and you'll be able to join in with the fun, I'll be opening the room around 19:00 GMT that's about 9 pm your time.
Most TFN events are Default setups unless I say fit any parts, makes it's nice and easy jump in and drive.

Thanks @dranddad. I'll sort this out when i'm home in a few hours.

Just got back from working out and sure enough, I tweak my knee again! 🤬
My physical therapist wife is shaking her head...which means I TOLD YOU SO! ;););) She has been reminding me to come back slowly and not to push too hard. I am a :dunce::dunce::dunce:

No racing for me today but I will join in the chat and watch the race from my viewing lounge...:D

What are you like. :ouch:

We're not getting any younger Larry, takes three times as long, then your lucky if it's ever right again. Look forward to hearing from you, is Matt still coming

Matt is good to go Phillip...my wife put her foot down thinking I would race if Matt was here. :ouch: I really hope Matt picks up a PS4 so he can practice more often. I have to slow down as we leave on our annual hiking trip on April 20th...

I've shared some of the action replays on psn and youtube

Was a fantastic evening yet again, very nice to see Eric join us and new member geeTeye.
Antony was very impressive on his first night with a strange bunch, very aware of what was going on around him, true gent on track. 👍

Watching the replays back, the car sure didn't forgive any minor mistakes. great combo for learning about the laws of physics

Hope you enjoyed it.

Then to round off the night we, of course, being funsters deviated off the beaten track with Karts, Camero vs Mustang and Stratos in the Dirt.

Short race evening.

Alfa Romao's Gr4 SS power/weight ratio of 122 / 100 set-up

Last Thursday in the Fittipaldi made you work for your gratification, this week not so much, just a general short race evening and we can use this nice open track for pairings for ROC race of champions.
On the night we'll do short races and hopefully have members there that we can pair to run head to head qualifying laps.
If you all agree to make it entertaining one pair takes to the track at a time. Do three laps one warm-up and two flying to set their fastest lap.

This should take about 5 minutes, others can watch, take a break or do whatever. Why only two on the track you ask, so we can all help take notes of the lap times, will save me a lot of hard work trying to capture all the info. 👍👍

If you would like to join in with the ROC please try and make it on Thursday, April 4th from 19:00 oh crap clock change :dopey: I don't have a clue what time that makes it for everyone, just turn up whenever. :boggled:

Edit:

Follow this link to our Google Docs ROC spreadsheet.

Right, I'll update this with more info, sorry I tend to forget some or all may not have done this ROC type of event before.

The Idea is to have our normal TFN night short fun races for those that can make it on the evening. at the same time run a more competitive race head to head with whoever you are paired against, in the ROC, see the link above, any problems viewing it please let me know as I'm a IT virgin.

If you're not able to make the TFN night any round of the knockout, you can contact who you are paired with ( again see the above link for spreadsheet) in our PM conversation here or, your own private contact, do your round and post results in the thread here.

There is not really a time limit on this ROC event, within reason of course. One is not expected to keep your fellow members waiting for the next blue moon.

Hope you enjoy this event if you do we can always run another, maybe with a little twist :sly:

Need any more info, please ask.

Yours, IT virgin
