Not giving too much away about the 3 mandatory pit stops, you can organise these how you see fit. As above or any other method using lower fuel consumption but you must still do 3 mandatory

This is one thing I wish they would add into the lobby Settings Mandatory Pitstops. We had this in GT6 and I would like to see it return.

Anyway I just had to say that. Goodluck with your races. If I was available on Thursdays I would give it a try.

Thank you Rinsky, these race events I use to organise in GT5/6 for a great bunch of members. you could trust them all to stick to the Regs of the event without any question which made it very easy to make up any type of event with the tools we have in GTSport.

I too hope the guys enjoy it, different yes but all good fun.

Edit: I've added two dates for this event being the first and so close to the Holidays, I hope it gives members the chance to be able to join if they can't make one of them.

Once you get a good membership base together you will be able to trust them just like in the past because there are a lot of good people in the lobby section of this forum.
Doing things a little different is always good in my eyes so helps mix things up a bit.
If I can find the free time I will pop in and run a race with everyone sometime.

Yes you may, with making the car more sporty it's not wise to try and police tuning.

If you wish to go ahead, I personally don't bother on a small FF like this. You'll find my events are all about relaxed fun and try to use all the tools available to have something different , we can jump in a car and just race anytime, but veriaty is the spice of life they say.

Yeah some combos don't work as well as others, I've learnt over the years Joe it's the input (enthusiasm) members put in makes it a good combo not the combo itself.

I hope you have fun with it Joe, I always use to say, if I can make you smile just once on the night, then I'm a winner.

Great. I ran some laps and the only thing I adjusted was the gearing. I was impressed with how much you can change the attitude of the car with just moving the gears around. It doesn’t handle horrible. It’s very controllable. I’m looking forward to the race. Should be a lot of fun.

Just for fun I ran some laps in VR. Other than the steering wheel being on the wrong side, it was fun too. Great combo.

If you ring it's neck .the tyre don't last to long.

For out and out fun I found the Honda 800S one of the best here, I'm sure it was made for this track.

If anyone would like to volunteer some free time for testing, you can see above there is a list growing already, tester would be very welcome.
Even any ideas for event so long as they are pre-tested wouldn't go a miss, fun is the main factor, racing second .

The one that comes to mind is the VW bus at Northern Isle. We ran that as a daily race once. It was a lot of fun. Horribly slow but the pack stayed together and drafting was huge. I’d like to see what others think of it.

Yes done a few races with the Samba TG test track was another. Maxed out Beetle big wings on the Snow was fun fun fun, RR on snow.

40 Laps – 45minuets + 3 pit stops mandatory ( 2 long + 1 short / 1 Short 2 long / 3 of a set = fuel)

Lap 1 and lap 40 no chicane all other laps you must use the moto bike chicane.

I was so glad to see Joe, Eric, Guido, Mike come and try something a little different, whereby strategy plays a big part in the out come. I thought the 3rd Jan was a little close to the holiday break, 5 in the room was fantastic.

I think at some point in the race we all had a dose of, do I miss the Chicane or not. Even on the last lap, I still made the mistake and used the chicane, good job Mike was not to close. What away that would be to through away the race.

Re-visit to Tsukuba in the Abarth 500​

As it was so close to the holidays and members may not have been able to find the time, we'll run this once more.

Remembers this combo is as much strategy as it is racing, see the OP above for details on pitting time and time gained missing the chicane.

You may not have the time with busy lives, so here is a little help. You'll find Sport soft works well if your a little conservative with your right foot, there are a number of ways you can try pits stops with this.

Use long stints then splash and dash at the end.

Maybe go short 4/5 laps then pit, top up tank, as a full pit-stop is about 2 minutes your stop will be considerably shorter. By the time the long stint guys pit for a full stop you could be some 2 laps ahead before they emerge from the pit lane.

You may like to try Sport Medium and 2/3 on the fuel save and go longer on your stints, but mind your don't loose to much time on the fuel save.

I think the brave or head-case may be thinking. Sport Hard fuel save 6 go as far as I can, then SS and splash and dash for the rest of the laps.

3 Mandatory stops remember.

This is why I gave you all the Sport tyres to use. Just like F1 they use different compounds and race strategy. Straight race on one compound is fine, but sometimes we crave something a little different.

Good racing to those that join on the 10th Jan.

Here is an Example.

I just did a 53.00 minute race as a guide.

Start on Grid Sport Hard full tank, fuel save 6 did 19 laps, with lap 1 short missing Chicane and a pit in lap.

First pit in changed to Sport Medium and filled half tank and ran fuel save 3 for 7 laps, just.

Second pit in changed to Sport Soft, filled 10 laps, ran fuel save 1 had to changed to 6 for last lap of 7 running on fumes on pit lane.

Third pit in Sport Soft again, this time filled 11 laps for the last stint, but ran out on the last straight just before pit lane, so maybe fill 12 laps of fuel.

You don't have to use all the compounds, you can just stick to one if you wish.

The little fiat Abarth seems to use fuel pretty quick if you ring it's neck between gears, so these figures are only approximate.

I did try to arrange a practice night Ron but it clashed with other wrs and ring rats evenings.

I don't mind a test night any time (being retired )if members are willing to spend an hour of their free time, I love the company and good entertainment .

If you would like to I'll be there too.

You'll find my fun nights are just that, ego's get left at the door on the way in and picked up on the way out.
