Listen, i was wondering if anybody completed the time trials in arcade with no ASM and TCS control, i had done the one with MX-5 TRIAL mountain and the Mugen NSX on Grand valley, which is good.

anybody else tried this feat?

:D

It depends on the car/track combo. Generally I ran faster with both off tho'. :)

wait a minute....you can turn off the TCS and ASM for the TT's????????/ AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! i HATE those damn things, and i had to do those blasted time trials with them on!! if i had only knowwwwwwwwwwwwwn!!!!!!!! :bomb:

oh yea...how do you turn them off? this way, i can bust them ****s out next time. although it only took me 2 days with TCS and ASM. never the less, i still hate those damn training wheels :p

likewise o Angel O deathy, i was hating the railtracks handling, so i tried it with them off, whayy I'm in the big league, completion soon.

ok...in light of my stupidity i need to know how to turn the TCS and ASM off for TT's. anyone care to tell me?

If you go to Options on the relevant Time Trial, you should be able to turn them off there

at least for the NTSC North American version, you cannot turn off ASM/TCS. If you turn off them in the options for arcade mode (that is what this option is for) you still get them for the Time Trials. Look under the tachometer, the lights for ASM/TCS are still on.

This confusion was probably made when someone looked on a rally stage and saw no TCS/ASM. You can't use these for rally anyway, they are always disabled.

they have an unfair advantage. Please, some PAL user confirm if they can turn them off or not. Because if you can, I know some online databases that will have to start separating the time trial times from PAL ---> NTSC.

PAL users can definitely turn them off - I had them off for all time trials (and had some monumental crashes on the last corner of a few of them trying to make up time!)

well i just busted out all but 2 TT's on the first try. needless to say i was sorta happy :) all thats left is the string (easy) and swiss alps. i already tried 20 times tonight on swiss alps, and im only 2nd place. this sux :(

I'm going to have to have a look at this, I thought the TCS/ASM was always off on the TTs. Perhaps I've switched it off previously...

I had this in Alps. Got down to within .1s of the pole time, after about 20 goes, and then on my next run went 1.4s clear!!! I'm stuck on Tahiti Maze (TT9) at the moment, but I'm in the Dream Car Championship now.

I nearly slit my writs over Tahiti Maze - after I knocked over Complex String I thought I was home and hosed...

Oh its true its true you can disable it in the pal version. In the pal version you just turn it off in the options on the main screen or the options on the TT itself. That is probably the only advantage the pal version has over the NTSC version.

see our pain?

no matter which ver. i'll get the one with the special brick tires feature.
