Since I'm currently in Gold category with all of the 3 TTs, I just don't have the inspiration to try any of them anymore to get a better ranking.

Was just thinking wish the track from GT6 - Circuito de la Sierra (27km long) would not only make a comeback but if it could be used as a TT. That would be blissful driving. Even from the current tracks, Deep Forest reverse is so much fun as was driving three 5 lap races in the Clubman Cup 600.

Anyway, waiting for Thursday to see the face of a new TT.

Excuse the question if it's already been asked and answered at some point but why the D-pad? Why not the stick? Habits, I suppose (?) but it's a shame because you're held back.
Since 1998 when I got my first ps1 with Gran Turismo I did have the first edition of dual shock controller with analog sticks and I really started Gran Turismo journey driving with those, but from the get go I just couldn't feel them. I lacked precision terribly.
I don't know why, maybe my thumbs are made of wood? 🪵

I know it was a whole different game back then, but about two years ago, with GT7, when I was still grinding credits at Sardegna, my d-pad broke. So for over a week, while I was waiting for new pad, I was grinding Sardegna with analog sticks and while previously I was gunning for under 23 minutes time at this race (I always need a challenge), now my overall times dropped by a minute. And I really tried, I wanted it to work, but it didn't.

Maybe with a whole lot of time invested, it might probably start to work, but with things that are like now, I don't have that time and I just want to have fun driving fast once in a while.
And with d-pad I'm reasonably fast, so it's good. Won't challenge any aliens or even hybrids, but I can live with it. :)

💪💪 very fast...

Improved some more at RBR, I get the 1st turn right about every 5th or 6th time, you can carry so much speed through there, but jeez, you gotta have a very precise line.

Dipped into Monza and pretty soon got into Gold, I'll go back to it, but having so much time left kinda makes me lazy.

Guess I was lying when I said I didn't think I'd be able to gain that much more time around Le Mans, because I found over a second from my previous post.

Unfortunately, just missed out on a top 100 with this time. I could find another 2-3 tenths due to poor exits at Mulsanne and Arnage, but hooking up a whole lap around here without invalidating the lap due to track limits is exceptionally difficult. When this trial started, my GR010 had a whole 60km on the odometer, now it has over 900km. Most of that distance has come from invalidated or slow laps, not much consistency here. I was very surprised when I crossed the line and a 3:07.6 popped up on the screen, as I hadn't been close to sub 3:08 since my 2nd lap of the session.

Ultimately this time came from nailing Tertre Rouge, the Porsche Curves and the Ford Chicane. The Porsche curves in particular was by far the best I had managed through that section, I even overtook the P1 ghost at one point who seems to slow down a bit through the longer right hander for some reason (I set the P1 ghost to 0.1sec ahead). Definitely very happy with the lap itself, probably one of my better time trial laps in terms of utilising track limits and carrying momentum throughout the lap.

Hopefully the next trial isn't a race car though :scared:

Embarrassing to admit how much I’ve driven this (2,200 kms) and not managed to succeed. I should be very satisfied with a top 100 (usually I’d be very content with that) but there was so much possible time left in the lap it annoyed me to no end, don’t think I’ve ever been this frustrated. Ends in a complete what if, this TT. Spent 90% of those ****ing kilometres in Dunlop and Tertre Rouge. Skill issue and FRAUD ALERT!!

**** this!

You said it just right, you should be fairly happy with a top 100 on this but i can fully understand your frustration 😂
Personally i knew this would happen to me so chose to gold it and ran as fast as i could , A i just don't like Le Mans and B... i think the GR010 just doesn't drive very nice, maby it's a pad thing but i doubt it. (I never been that great in high speed things tbh )

So from my point of view.... awesom achievenemt mate!

In the short time I spent with the GR010, It feels so strange compared to all the other LMP1s (Hybrid or not). I just can't drive it the same I could those cars, like the front isn't as sharp and there doesn't feel like there is as much rear to steer the car in comparison to the TS050 (Or even the TS030, which feels like its on a slot racing track with how glued it is in corners like the Porsche Curves).

Yeah. I just love road cars. When driving one, it really feels like a simulator kind of drive.

BTW, I wish they would put road cars with a default racing exhaust so that the exhilarating sound of acceleration would be a driving force & inspiration to keep on driving.
