Very aggressive approach on the infield btw, never thought that would be possible 😳, lots of sliding ! what a lap man! Nice! 🙏

After perusing this thread this morning I realised I was only 5 hundredths within gold at the Nordschleife, and with Yuhki and Fraga battling for the fastest time and less than a hundredth apart, figured that was looking unlikely to hold...

Then I remembered the Honda challenge time. I signed in and could see it there, mocking me, so I had a quick chat with my wife about our day's plans.

After a bucket load of failed attempts and 200+ miles, I finally snuck a time in. Happy days!

I'm more refering to the gearbox shenanigans, to have an optimal time you have to realy downshift very aggressively wich normally would turn your transmission into saus, so I call it "sausing" 🤣

To saus or not to saus....damn boys are just to fast... insane lap 🙏
I think in my timezone Nordschleife is open for around 11 hours.
The more you drive the Ring, the faster you'll get,

Nope, it's over now.

I just had to go and try to improve my time while I still had the chance, even though I already beat the real world time :D

A four tenth improvement is all I could manage, and I even braked too late and went wide in one turn, so it could've been a 7:43 flat or under...oh well, I came close to my limits, which is good enough for me. Or rather, I found the limit... :lol:

After watching metalgears lap and his perfection in braking and turning I thought to give it a go again with AMG. After repeating his lines and gears for maybe an hour or two I couldn't improve my time, which was 1:34.84*
So I thought let's try how I tried on day one when I got 1:34.8** and that means explode gearbox downshifting to first gear. After some laps I got 1:34.548

Ok, everything is holding for Gold. I just hope there aren't any surprises at RA that push me out.

So, off to Interlagos! It took a while to get a rhythm going and many invalidated laps. But I finally was able to get Gold lap. About 1 second faster than my first stint. And thanks to @djolliea for their ghost. I was even able to keep up a bit in the back sectors!

With all TT currently Gold, tomorrow I might try to improve at Alsace to see how high I can get on the leader board.

First time playing this week was this morning. I had dropped to bronze at RA so I got myself back into silver. I don't know if I can get this one to gold. It'd be a miracle lap for me. I did get my Alsace time down a little more into comfortable gold with a .938 so I feel good about that. I just don't have time lately to put in work. I've been working 6 tens and family things always come first so GT comes last and I might be bitter about it. 😂😂 Kidding.
 
Gold on Nord. I didn't do Suzuka as I thought PD would bust me on doing an over 18 and under 18 TT, so I didn't want to risk it (waiting for someone to pop in and say they did both with no consequence).

Should be plenty safe on the 918 one as well. Definitely not complaining about 4mil credits in 24hrs.
 
Picked up my cool 2 mil at the Ring. Never attempted Suzuka considering I'm twice the age limit. :lol: And now I'm finished up with Road Atlanta. And I surprised the heck out of myself with my lap time. I was hoping to pick up a tenth (previous best was 1:15.658 posted yesterday). I doubled that with a magical lap despite missing the apex of turn 6. I'm hyped! I was locked in for sector 1 the entire session. Whereas I was constantly running 30.2's previously, I ran multiple sub 30's today. I will finish not far behind @Gomario JSP and @Dan_Tes who are...tied?!? Either of you going to attempt 1 more run to one-up the other? :lol:

Nice!, so you did het a fairly good lap in at the end!, yeah Dan and I are tied, but from my side .... a beautiful moment to capture and sign of with that tied time..... I gave him a hard time....... only because the man is in asia right now .......but we just forget about that....

@Dan_Tes .....I just won ok..... 🤣🤣🤣

Really enjoyed this one and pleased I made the cut off time :)

That's basically what happens when you have a heavy, long wheelbase all-wheel drive midship. I'm definitely not trying again, I'm just happy to have set a gold time. :lol:

The 918 didn't bother me when it was stock and on Sports Mediums. Granted, I wasn't chasing aliens then.

I'm usually fine with heavy cars. Heck the AMG Red Pig is one of my all time favorites. But this contraption on Racing Softs; it felt like the grip window was too small for me to make sense of. Every mistep was blown up 10x.

Turn 1 and the final corner felt like the car would randomly teleport off the track if I looked at the throttle wrong.

All through sector 1, sometimes I'd get turn-in. Sometimes not. I'd be fully off the throttle turning beginning to get understeer, then the car would decide to take a coffee break mid corner.

The 918 gave me mixed messages for the 1000+ miles of misery I threw into this one. It was almost as bad for me as the Valkyrie TT.

Tthe next time I see a TT with a hyper car on Racing Tires, I turn off my console, get up and go touch grass for two weeks.
 
So....... Bernd Mayländer aint got **** on me, let's see if you can top this next week!! :lol:

I had saved only one replay and that was a sausing action one from a 34.940 or something, but saused and mist my apex on T12
So this morning i had to go again to get me at least a solid replay :lol::lol:
Lap still not as smooth as i liked it to be, but def found some time, was up on the delta a few times in S1 after that but couldn't manage to stick it all together,

the downshift from third to second gear after the straight is a slight sausing but a lot better than 6 to 1 :lol::lol:
