That's worth a shot, although it would be hard to not trailbrake, my brains are kind of stuck with that 🤣, I'll give that a try over thr weekend, thanks!

Yeah some ar enough realy pad friendly indeed, you clearly can see the difference when looking at the fast replays, although I'm curious what the faster pad users here have to say about this one 😁
Top replay never lifts through turn 1. They slam the steering all the way to the right in an instant shortly after initiating turn in. Impossible on the pad because of the built in smoothing of the steering wheel rotation.

It came together relatively easy as well, and there were enough mistakes in the lap to make me think a 1:14 is possible.
Yeah, thanks for nothing, universe 🤣

Maybe the sheer amount of available events will help distract people enough to keep me in top 100, but statistically it's unlikely with almost a week to go.

Speaking of which, I also took my break from playing Silksong ;) to check out the two new events.

I think I would actually enjoy the Corsa at Road Atlanta quite a lot if it were not for the stupid boost mechanics requiring you to restart all the time (and this is coming from someone who usually restarts a lot). As it stands: safe gold at 1:17.674, and I think that's it for me.

The Hyundai I might revisit again. It has the kind of easy-to-learn, hard-to-master characteristics that I am drawn to. Currently at a very unoptimized 2:21.919, going below 2:21.5 is definitely on the table, so ... watch this space for when i post the inevitable 2:21.500 screenshot :D

Have a great weekend and, as ever, happy lapping!

I used to think I was somewhat decent at the game, usually being able to achieve within +2.8% of the top time in online TTs. But when real prizes and prestige are on the line and the aliens all try to outdo each other, I struggle to even get Gold at all. The Gold cutoff for the NSX Maggiore TT was 1:41.8, but the best I could luck my way into was a 1:42.0. It's a real humbling experience, if not a slightly depressing one.

That said, the NSX-P is a joy to hotlap, even if it feels really scary coming out of low speed turns like 2 and 4.

What a world of difference, I think I'm glad if I can gold it in the end 🤣🤣
Nice job mr stats!
Thanks. I just followed Tidgney and @Mistah_MCA advice - get off the brakes early and coast. I suspect as others get used to the technique, my place will drop a fair amount over the two weeks. And a day.

GAAAAAH Forgot to save my fast lap with the Opel, I pulled off what I thought was a near perfect lap annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd still stuck on 8.4. I've no idea where more time comes from, none.

After a run of golds and 2 gold's in the wings, I will likely settle for a 3.1% silver at Eiger, it's just a hateful thing and I am too old and too grumpy to keep trying for 1 million more credits.

Well I took me way to much miles to get a sort of save gold on this one, but this should do it, case closed, what a nightmare on the pad this is....but I am around Tidgney his pad laptime so no walk of shame 🤣🤣

So next session I can focus again on the GP layout, where I noticed I used all wrong gears in the first session 🤣🤣

But a little less playtime because my laptop completely died this week 😭

This is the first time trial ever where I am quicker on the wheel vs the controller.

Control pad lap: 1.08.745

This was my third lap on the wheel (haven't used the wheel in about 3 months before this, so plenty of time to gain probably)

I noticed you get SO much more max rotation vs the control pad, makes life infinitely easier to go fast at the fast left hander.

Update after 25km:

You know that feeling when you actually do nail all fastest sectors..AAAND pass last chicane bollard of death.... (Nürbgring , Elantra)..Yeah... Happens rarely but today it happened...

.. It does give nice results...

That's not to shabby at all!
Nice result!
Didn't happen all together with me until now though 🤣🤣 , I watched Calster his lap and I was soooo far off the gearing....that's hopefully..... but the bollard will always be there..... 😭🤣🤣🤣

Great job mate!

Just tried the Stratos @ Eiger Nordwand last night, and got a pretty good silver time! I'd need to shave off about an entire second to get into gold range, but I do find the car/track combination pretty fun. Especially since the handbrake is disabled for this one, so that's one less thing I need to worry about getting right.

EDIT: I also noticed that despite being an MR car, I never really felt like the Stratos is horribly prone to oversteer. Maybe it's the relatively modest horsepower of 185 HP?

I spent 2 hours to get this. Note that this is a time šŸ’© on a VGT of šŸ’© . I'm sorry for these words but frankly I'm disgusted with these VGT and the turn that GT7 takes by putting them on TT.
Certainly, some people find their pleasure there but not me. I don't understand that a game like GT which is based on production and GT cars can offer cars that are not cars. Yes I know, you're going to tell me that it's funny. Well no.

A few months ago I was thinking about switching to PC to play real Simracing games (ACC, LMU and Iracing) and not a simcade game (like GT7). I looked into buying a PC and switching to Conspit or Simagic at that time. And I'll start thinking about it again if PD continues to offer us VGT. But I'm waiting to see their famous December update. And I'm waiting for LMU and Rennsport to arrive on PS5.

Luckily I have races on Sunday with my friends who tell me that there is still some good stuff at GT7 but for how long...šŸ¤”šŸ¤”
I would have gotten gold with this VGT, my reaction would have been the same because I don't get any pleasure from these VGTs

@Jeje6410

You have to kind of make peace with these things.

I feel the same as you but I also just pretend it’s wipeout and not ā€œrealā€ driving with some of these cars that only have theoretical physics.

Nobody needs a 10000000hp corsa, in fact who wants a corsa in this day and age 🤣

But seriously I’ve really stopped personally caring about these weird cars, it’s the challenge I like but that wains like the wind week to week for me.

I play VR so I see a very different version of these things and in a lot of cases with VGT cars I wish I was still using bumper cam.

don’t sweat it an realise what these things are, marketing and tech demos. Nothing more or nothing less

@Tidgney, did you published your traditional guide about how to approach the TT with the Honda at the Lago Maggiore?

Am I wrong or none have done it?
I am 4 thousandths slower for gold... and it is quite frustrating missing the gold for nothing...
