Be nice if this held for a top 100

Nice time! I would say so, it’s quite a tricky one and I’m not sure there are too many people out there grinding it.. but I could be wrong! If that time finished below 85th I’d be surprised

Quick session at Autopolis and quicker again; I’m back to enjoying it today maybe because I’m not so tired; set three new PBs and I think there’s another two tenths somewhere but I doubt I’ll find them! Just slotting in behind @Tidgney and @CosmicMinster on the scoreboard. @Gomario JSP your turn! Any improvement in your time coming or are you only fast when you’ve got 1.21 gigawatts behind you??

That is a very tidy lap there buddy!, and 1.15% is not Shabbbyyyyy at all!
Well done!
you can win some on the hairpin maby if you slowly feed throttle, it feels fast your way though, but I noticed it's way faster to not slide.....but yes...... hitting it the right way is lotery 🤣

@Dan_Tes that's quite a lap you got there bud, a .3 is serious buissiness!
I do miss the Gigawatts indeed 😂 😂
I ran som laps this morning but i remembered instantly why i was done with it 😂😂,
i had 1 .748 lap where i drifted last turn completely so i think that would have been a high 5 maby but binned it like always 😂😂

A few laps from the session.... it's in there..... but yeah.... 😂😂

Morning fellow addicts,

I wasn't planning on lapping this morning but ofcourse one of the furry bastards had other plans, sounded like a warzone at 5:55 AM this morning, i though i bought cats not grizzly's tearing the place down..... so lapping it was..

For a moment i thought.... should i seca again?...., but naah, couldn't get to that anymore, still 66 there so that will be well in the top 100 tomorrow ..goal achieved.

So Autopolis it was, for miles and miles chasing Metal's butt ( thanks again for a lovely ghost ) but got stuck in the .8xx for so long, i just missed the finess in the slower corners and then you'll notice the time you lose compared to a fast ghost.
But finally started to get some feeling back,
Some tricks that did help to get to this time was to not over-do T3-4-5, the brakingpoint is very clear and straight so follow a ghost is quite good there and after the trailbraking your way in you can almost get away with coasting thru it all, just playing with the weight, very easy to over-do it right there, easy does it....
and the one thing that got my laptime down this morning was going to 2nd gear for T15.

@Dan_Tes I tried as hard as i could buddy but you are still out of reach so no back to the future for me 😂
But to be honest, beeing within .5 of a second from you is top 100 😂
Lap felt quite good so i don't think i could improve within reasonable session time so this is it for me,
Into the .5's .....barely 😁.... so that's place 42 when @NAXEHT Wakes up cause he is going to hammer this one 😕🤣

Not to Shabbbyyyyy at all

Normal lap

@Metalgear9493 his butt chasing lap

Not much time this week for time trialling and I've left Laguna as a one-and-done, don't have the patience to improve my Gold time there.

At Autopolis, I've found it a more pleasant challenge, but the nuance required in the corners is incredible; 2 laps can feel similar, only to be 6 tenths apart. I have another tenth or two, I feel, but pretty happy so far

I don't blame you, I certainly wouldn't have any patience to grind 100-200 laps at Laguna, and the Corkscrew stresses me out every time I go through there. Plus, the downhill section can really upset the balance of your car and cause you to go in the sand trap and void your lap. You can also mess up at the last turn before you head straight to the finish. Using caution is important in the last section so you can get a good lap clocked in.

Great time at Autopolis, keep up the progress if you have extra time. Good luck and wish you the best.

So, lesson learned - always leave and then come back later if you're stuck in a rut.

Set a time at Laguna Seca on the 4th May after coming back from holiday - checked today, was a cute quirk but I was ranked a nice round 6,000, just inside the gold time. I remember even that time was a REAL struggle, and I was hoping it would be enough to last.

Just spent around half an hour having another go on my lunch break to make sure I'm safe into gold, and somehow knocked off almost 7/10ths and jumped up into the top 1000!

Feel much better about my time now, and also better for my average ranking for the GTP leaderboard! No idea what I've changed for this TT but whatever I did, it's working. Or maybe I was just horrendously jetlagged when I did it previously....

Edit: I don't know, I guess there is a non-zero chance that some PD employees do visit these forums and decided to change their workflow to prevent the leaks? We'll see ...
So the leaky API that was showing daily races early was made private in the broad sense.

I’d imagine there is a lot of dev lurkers here and if you haven’t watched the devs react to speed runs on IGNs channel it’s absolutely awesome content, but also devs talking about “oh we knew you could do that and QA caught it, but it only matters to speed runners so we didn’t fix it”

They know a lot more about their game than we give them credit for generally

I tried to better my time on Laguna Seca and after 30 or so laps and tries I gave up. I managed to do maybe 3-4 valid laps, all of them at least 6-7 tenths slower than my current best. One lap was promising but I invalidated it and it was ultimately a couple hundredth slower than my PB. I guess I should be happy with the silver, and honestly, at this point I am :) I may try to get closer to gold with the NSX, will see.

Let's not even mention Blue Moon Bay, because driving on that track got boring for me after a while. It's shaped like the old Bojangles hash browns we used to get all the time for breakfast. Here's the pic:
