I am very happy that my lap time with the Alpine was enough to stay golden. 😀

Meanwhile the bimmer has a new livery that makes it faster: pumallover

the bad

This is the result so far:

(That optimum makes me return for a sub-57 lap time.)

Sorry @bigfluffy888 ! 😉

Yes! Lets go GT Planet!!

Not the greatest of sector 1's, only .551, but the session was nearing 180 miles by that stage so I was beginning to get hypnotised by it!

Sector 2 was absolutely stunning, PB by 20+ thousandths with good exit speed too.

Sector 3 went as well as I could have hoped for given the level of nerves mixed in with the mental fatigue I was succumbing too. I think it was the second fastest sector 3 I had performed all week.

Needless to say this is my final time, should be good enough for top 2.

As much as i dislike super long tracks, it may be time for me to man up at LeMans. I don't know the track at all so this will be quite the learning curve, suspect Gold is a really tough target as some folks are guns around this place.

Urrrrrgh thanks for costing me 1M credits. KM.

Here's the latest guide for those interested. Feel quite bad for pad players as to me it's much more difficult on a pad than the wheel!

Yeah pretty horrible TT on a pad. The steering input is just too slow for the chicanes and tertre rouge. It's slower and makes me invalidate lots of laps.
3.09.1 is my best, I don't think I'll be back.

I don't remember having that feeling when we had the Group C TT here.

It’s all very relative your “horrible pad lap” is 2s faster than my DD wheel, Loadcell and VR lap….

Pfff.....well my first valid lap on the remote laptop was a 10.8 ..VERY surprised that was already a second into gold.... ill give it one session tomorrow morning,

I don't know if reaching gold is harder than usual on the pad tbh, but getting a descent time in should be hell 🤣 so........nope.....🤣

Gee LeMans is annoying, so easy to get a track limits penalty and be damnded if I can remember any of the turns, they all look the same to me. Down to a 3.17, I can likely get to 3.14ish I reakon so likely a silver only.
I found it pretty easy, feeling fast inside the track limits. Brake points clear only difficulty the turn exits on early throttle and the last chicanes. Probably I loose 0,8 there

Golded now at 3:10:486 only in 5 laps. Grinding WTC 700 is a good training

I struggled with the turn ins, 3:10 something I’ll get but judging that downforce is hard for me

My issue is I don't know the track so I am tense entering each turn and not hustling the car. Gonna take some practice this one but maybe time i learn this track.

Hey guys, good evening! I wanted to reach out and ask for a bit of advice and help.

I’ll only have a couple of hours—maybe two at most—on Saturday to do a time trial in Tokyo, and I have to admit, I’m really struggling with the Supra. I just can’t seem to get a fast lap out of it. My times are pretty slow (1:57:3), and while I’m trying to improve, it’s proving tough. The car doesn’t seem to turn well for me, and I’m especially struggling at the docks and on the first corner—I can’t get through them quickly. The only section that feels decent is the S’s, and maybe the hairpin and its exit—they feel okay too.

I noticed someone tested the BMW M6 Sprint version, and I gave it a try as well. It feels more nimble and turns better for me—I can rotate it more easily. That said, it also seems a bit slower overall. Could just be my impression, though.

So here’s my question: for someone like me who’s not super experienced and drives with a controller, and with only one or two hours to practice, which car would you recommend—stick with the Supra, or go with the BMW Sprint?

Thanks so much in advance!

Stop over driving.

I mean that, there is a lot of way way way faster peeps here than me but I think a lot of what they would tell you wouldn’t be massively useful for you right now.

All of the cars turn just fine and can do the lap to gold (well most of them)

Coast or brake earlier, this works for every track but the aim on a street circuit is to brake earlier to accelerate out. Apart from the first left hander where it’s balancing turn in with throttle. Braking and coasting to the apex is really the fast way for normal people.

You have lots of gold CEs now bud you kinda gotta start to apply that knowledge and just do it

Gold is not a problem. I am within Gold by 0.5 or so. I am trying to improve vs the ghost. Maybe I need to drive it very differently. You are right.

So what is the problem other than just practice and refining things?

The way to improve against the ghost is more control fidelity, better use of the brakes and throttle, lining up exits better.

These are not things people can help you do better at this point, you just have to practice and do more learning. There is no shortcuts now.
