OK, a few words...

The awful Fairlady Test TT. Somehow I lotto’d myself into the top 100 ending up P92 after obviously falling out of it having positioned myself at 96th the previous night. The track is a goofy, wonky ass low quality meme. Can barely judge the car fairly due to the track but all in all it’s certainly bottom tier of all 148 so far. I had 14.613 and 33.925 as splits which really should result in a better laptime but could never properly manage the final corner in the Fairlady. Refusal to steer. An abomination. At best I even had a .572 in the first split and .887 in the second. To not manage anything better in the end from all that is somewhat of a failure, to be honest. Oh well.

Tokyo. I would’ve wanted to do it in the RC F or M6 but having tried the trio I was quickest in the Toyota, the top speed edge was a comfortable cushion to have and I lacked the talent to mirror my Toyota performance in the others. Clearly way more fun than the Fairlady but still obviously quite frustrating with the walls. Eventually I put together a lap I felt alright about and wrapped it up. Lost some time in the hairpin exiting it too slowly and in the quick right following the second split I don’t quite hug the wall close enough but the following ones and the dreaded final corner were pretty good. A 1’55.410, only good for 223rd in the end but many really good drivers were sweating this TT and yeah, that’s that then.

About the coming TT’s and the general state of them right now I’m not particularly impressed. Like others mentioned not far back in the discussion, I too have lost the passion quite a bit and the combos delivered recently haven’t really helped, au contraire. The GTWS mirrored event was Gr.3. We now got Gr.3 again (also got the AMG thing coming which surely is in the GT3). On Red Bull Ring of all places... Most common group of cars and track. That’s just tragic. Absolute slop, zero creativity.

And another thing not talked about enough, related to creativity. Why on earth are so many TT’s set around 11-16 with blue skies or a few clouds? Always such boring time settings. Why go through all the work to program different time settings and functions and then not use them? Why no dawn or dusk at Le Mans? Or pure night? Red Bull too for that matter, and many others. COME ON, MAN!!!!

Given all the effort I put in into Le Mans, I felt I needed a breather, plus was happy bagging 2 silvers, so I tried my luck with the new TT. I agree with it being uninspired but unlike most of you, I spent much less time with the game, I only do single story and some hotlapping (offline and TTs), so I'm not burned out just yet. Anyway, I thought that I could give a try for with the LM24 winner from 1995 and managed to do a 1:33.520, which at that time was enough for bronze. Then I decided to try another meta car, the Z4 GT3: 1:32.657. I also tried the M3 GT2 and the old NSX GT500, both were in the low 1:33s, so basically more or less easy silver, suprising myself a lot tbh. Then I tried the 911 RSR and I'm sort of happy, sort of sad:

Since taking the screenshot the WR was improved, thus the gold threshold, as well but it's still quite close, less than 4 tenth... I think I have a very small chance, that's good. But having the nagging feeling that I should try to go for it isn't that good :)

Here's the guide! I think they definitely forgot about this one today!

They didn’t forget about it more embarrassed to put it out.

It’s a subtle nod to the bob being more balanced in GR3

The TT is not the best place to show this.

It’s a repeat of a repeat after another GR3 TT

The lack of creativity yet the high production values actually astounds me.

So much this! They do absolutely nothing extra to make these things interesting. Gimme a frikkin sunset at least! Sheesh...

Got my gold at Tokyo and but missed gold in the Z by 0.03 seconds

Managed gold at RBR after 3 laps, I am strong there so will try and lower my 1.30 flat a bit to be safe. Still not feeling LeMans, each corner feels like a game of chicken vs the track limits and I still have absolutely no idea what I am doing in the Porsche curves, I don't do well with a flat, samey corner profile, I can't remember where to lift and where to brake and where to go full chat. I mean I'd eventually figure it out and gold this TT but TBH I don't think it is worth the 2M credits for me to blow this much time on a track I dislike so much.

Mmm.... not realy much of a timetrial with a lot of interesting points, I ran a 29.8 ( place 150) with a rather crap connection on the remote, even froze mid corner 🤣, the EVO is planted everywhere exept the hairpin, I'll do a tv session somewhere during the weekend, we will see If it grows on me

But you don’t like Laguna or Willow or Sardegna B/C as they are dust, gravel and sand.

Do you like any track/combo?
I like Sardegna a lot, all the combos there work well. Willow and Lagna are fine, I just suck at them. We need more Barcelona type tracks, just meat and potatoes straight up race tracks.

Portimao
Phillip Island
Eastern Creek
China GP
Hochenheim
Oulton Park
Magny Cours
Road America
Malaysia GP
Brno

I could keep going.

Yikes! I nearly lost it before I even got my lap started! There were some other close calls, as well. I haven't felt much like firing up GT7 as much lately, and I have no motivation whatsoever to run the Gr.3 TT at RBR. So I'll keep at it this one when I do feel like putting in some laps, even if Tetre Rouge continues to drive me mad.

It seems i was one of the first yesterday who found that the new TT was up and running. Great moment when i saw that my first lap was wide into gold with +1,7% and 88th in the world ranking. :D

I now live in fear of opening up GT7 today and looking into that again. :scared:

(sorry, sometimes I'm on another account and you won't see what times I'm talking about)

The Red Bull Ring is much shorter than the Le Mans track but there are a few turns which really squeeze all the confidence out of You. Turns 1, 5, 8 & 9. I sincerely hate the sausage kerb on turns 1 & 9.

Here no way I'll get Gold which I've been getting for the last 3 TTs (Tokyo, Alsace & Le Mans) which is a rarity for myself. I don't love the Red Bull Ring so will play a few laps & go back to Le Mans. Le Mans is very challenging as there are many turns where You can screw up but man o' man, this track is so much fun & legendary. Want to enter the 3:10s bracket. It boggles my mind thinking I'm about 6 seconds slower than the leader yet I'm in Gold category. Need to chip into the 6 second gap....:D

Mate I refuse to believe you can gold that alsace debacle and not rbr, it's the simplest track in the game. Focus on nailing apexes and braking on time so you prioritize exits.

I'm actually finding it quite fun to be able to choose a car, even if it is a bit of a placebo. Nice chamge upnto offer this every so often. The beetle is a sleeper byw, I turned a 30.7, it is very stable and absorbs bumps well so good if you're a bit edgy with the Ferrari.

For me the lancer is fastest though, best only 1 tenth faster than the beetle but optimal is a 32.2. My trusted Supra feel heavy and cumbersome at this track since the BOP update.

I haven't even driven 1 lap so just being humble as of now. I never enjoyed this track much even in the F1 games that I play. Watching the Grand Prix here is a different story though.

As @Tidgney did, I'll use the Ferrari Gr3 car because the rear mounted engine will help in keeping the rear stable.

This RBR TT is actually good fun, the 458 takes some holding and doesn’t seem that easy to drive, a nice little challenge.

Not usually one for TT’ing, normally chuck a couple of laps in for the money, but I found myself pushing pushing pushing on this, 1.30.9 and hope that’s enough for gold 😁

Morning folks,

Not that much time today to lap, normally it's ( as most of you know ) 6 AM alarm to start hotlapping before work but due to the expected high temperature here ( 28/29 Celsius) I started work at 7 AM instead of 8.30 🤣 So had about 30 minutes to get into it.

I think I'll go EVO all the way here and leave other cars in the garage en try to maximize without switching, handles good is very fast and has great sound 😁

I had a terrible first corner and shredded both tires comming out of the hairpin so time enough left to grab but time was up 🤣

Did feel a bit better than the remote yesterday though and the mediums have more grip then I expected, not the most exiting choise as we all can dream RBR right now and like @NAXEHT said above it's kind of a no go for me to do a GR3 after each other, give me a Ferrari 365 GTB or something next time please 😁

Oh man I feel your pain...
With those times of s1 and S2 you should have ended somewhere between P10 to p15
You didn't need to lift of so early in penultimate corner but go deeper in , brake later mid corner, position car a car and a half width from the Apex so you could then turn and floor it there to the right and carry speed into last left turn.... But yeah, too late now .... Compared to my sector times you should be at least a tenth to tenth and a half in front of me..

And totally agree that PD lack of fantasy for time of the day too (and car track combo as we see now).

What do you guys mean with “awful”?
I mean, getting those times reflects that you have a precise and smooth driving. When I feel precise and smooth it’s fun even if the car it’s awful to drive. I don’t care that much for the time but more with the nice feeling of being precise and smooth in car car like this. Same happened to me with the 350 in Laguna Seca or this week in daily C with the BRZ
