My lap with the Suzuki Swift, unfortunately unlike the others TT on the Nordschleife I only did 1 session of 150km because honestly I don't like to drive a FF car (maybe it's just the GT7 physics of FF that I don't like).
In any case, overall it's not a bad combination, but FF with the heat are too much for me to do another 600 km and shave 1-2 seconds off.

Hi,

I haven't been able to play or post for quite some time now. There is an awful lot going at home and at work here. You folks appear to be having a real "blast" though!

What little time I have had to play has been focused on the Red Bull Ring in a Ferrari. I am more than happy with a time that is just a whisker off a 1:29:xxx. There is just a chance I can get back there to shave off a little more.

A quick dash around Monza gets me a barely safe gold and I am not even going to attempt a time at Green Hell! 😵‍💫

It really cheers me to see you lot having soooo much fun and registering some fantastic times!

Best regards to all here.

Ian.

Hello folks

Earlier this morning I made 0.036 progress...

I came back in the afternoon with fresh eyes and relaxed hands and I found another second.

It feels good breaking into the 2% zone (my usual goal) but I wonder if I can get into the 26's and how much low. Getting a top 1000 in a Nordschleife time trial would be great.

I keep finding time and my optimal has me mid 21 so I'll keep pushing. Can't think of a more enjoyable drive we've had in a trial recently!
I had a 100 mile run this morning, and have similar experiences - optimal is a mid-21 based on both the runs yesterday and today, but will require some conscious effort to hit everything perfectly (at my pace) to achieve. Will keep pushing though - completely agree with your sentiment!

Got the sub 21 lap and I'm quite happy with this but deep down I know there is still more time as I kind of slipped up a bit on the last turn as my exit was poorly executed causing the car to slide a bit but the rest of the lap was faster than my PB pace all around. If not for the last turn mess up, this was looking to be a 20.5 or 4 maybe. A sub 20 could be possible if I were to spend more of my time on this but I typically only do three sessions max on time trials and this was my third session, I very rarely go more than three because I like to play other games too and don't want to invest too much of my time on one thing. But overall was a fun combo, I still think they should have chose a faster car for this but wasn't too bad in the end, see you on the next one!

The Nurburgring TT is now growing on me. Even before sleeping at night, I think where I'm lacking confidence & where I could go faster etc. :D

I can now relate to this car in a way because in real I've got a similar but better car (VW Polo) which would be achieving speed similar to the Swift in the TT. I'll be playing this TT daily for sure till I can shave off a second or two more from my current PB (8:25:784).

I spend the weekend to seriously attack Monza. Gold should be safe, but the time doesn't make me happy yet:

My goal is to be less than 2s slower than the nr. 1 time. I think it's possible, but i have to find a reproduceable way of taking the 1st chicane/sector 1 with a time of 36,1 or better.
At the moment it feels like i'm closing my eyes and hope for the best when i turn in for that chicane. I just have no plan how to do this.
At least there's still enough time to practice ... :D

And again a big thanks to @Tidgney for your guide! Without that i would still loose ages in the 2nd chicane.

Very good lap mate, I just finished watching your first video. It looks like you handled Green Hell well. I am always nervous racing there because it's so long and there is so much grass. That's where that nickname came from because the grass surrounds the entire track.

Maybe you won't have to do anymore laps. But it depends on if the top 100 aliens improves their times anymore.

So today I preferred to keep the ghost on but without loop as a change. Apart from this, I drove around 200kms in the morning time & 200km again in the evening. I made a good recovery over my previous PB of 8:25:7xx.

Today I chose a user's ghost to drive along who was just below my ranking. It was fun. In the morning, I was able to better my PB by about six tenths to 8:25:124 which felt good. In the evening, I was able to kind of match my PB with a time of 8:25:166. I made some progress today overall when compared to yesterday where I wasn't finding any rhythm from the get go.

My morning play:

My evening play:

The ghost car seen here (Blue) belonged to a user who was just one ranking below mine. Wanted to just race with someone who was similarly as fast as my PB.

P.S. - The optimal that I attained (8:22:976) in the evening play would've gotten me a berth inside the top 250 ranking.

Saturday I tried to improve my Nordschleife time with the added bonus of listening to the broadcast of the N24. In a 50 minute session I couldn't complete a valid lap... The only lap I actually finished was a 8:35.5 - if I account for the small cut I invalidated the lap with just after Bruennchen, it would have been maybe a 8:35.8, about 8 seconds of my that time record. So I knew that I have a solid silver in my, just need to put it together. Sunday was a no-go from time perspective, so enter Monday morning. Countless invalid attempts, definitely heading to silver territory and finally an 8:40,7. Then another set of invalid attempts culminating in a 8:36.8. Then I gave it another go, many invalidations leading to my current time:

Over the weekend I thought silver it is for me but I got here without watching any guides, and 3 seconds on the Nordschleife doesn't seem to be far fetched to reach... will see, definitely not giving up but I'm already 100% satisfied with keeping up my silver streak (9 completed, 3 running, includes 2 golds). My optimal is a mid 8:34, so still a lot to go. I have no idea though how you guys reach low 8:20s, let alone dropping below 20 when my little Swift wants to take off in every corner already... hats off to you guys!!

Good progress and motivation. Start with focus to improve all turns before long flatouts - this is where Seconds Mingle!

A quick ( that's kind of relative running a Nordschelide TT ) run to understand the insane progression some of you guys make here 🤣....failed.... I don't understand 🤣🤣
The ring is definitely not my strongest point, never has been but I'm descent there 🤣
But h*ll nah I'm running 21's like you bunch of freaks 🤣

Good combo, iconic place, had fun but not going to absolutely grind this, it's just to much 8 minutes of handcramps 🤣
From .9 to a .6 ... and took me way to long..

This, and you can also check GT7 Sport official website, click into the Nürburgring time trial, and go to the last page of the rankings. Just checked and someone’s got a 37 minute lap! Scenic route for sure.

Whaaaa... I didn't know we could access the results on the site! Awesome!

How do I make it so that my SN is used instead of my actual name? I noticed this in the livery editor as well. I must have changed some setting in the past and didn't realize it because it always used to display my SN.

Went in an golded the Monza and RBR TTs this morning, but I put minimal effort into them. I'll probably head back to Monza, but I loathe RBR so that one will probably stay.

Down to a 1:23.358 at NBR, and I'm going to be hard pressed to gain much more time I think. It's going to require a lot of work on my braking to keep momentum up! I just watch the WR ghost slowly creep away in nearly every turn.

Managed to fit in a couple of laps today and to my surprise, my sub 8.30 goal for The Nurburgring has been achieved after just 3 laps 😆😆 That's a good thing, not only did I only have 30 minutes but also after today, I don't think I will be able to play again for a long while so I really hope that's good enough to secure gold and that the time won't be tumbling down by the time the TT is over.
Until next time!!

I noticed a new fastest time set in Nurburgring TT by an user (real hard to remember usernames when there are thousands) with a time of 8:17:5xx. I saw his best lap replay. What I find astonishing is his & even @Tidgney 's cars have got so much more stability & grip altogether when going over kerbs & while braking.

Maybe it's down to sensitivity & the use of a wheel as opposed to pad (which I use).

Also the top 500 ranked times or so are real scattered. In other TTs, You'll see difference between times to thousandths or even hundredths but in this TT as You go to the next 100 users, the difference comes to half second if not a second. Of course, the lap is gigantic so the differences seem to make sense.

Anyway, the Nurburgring TT is a one to cherish as long as its available.
