Soooo, my prediction fell through LOL - I still maintain that the Spa/Rote Sau or Spa/CSL (or E30 M3) would have been an awesome combo but alas it wasn't meant to happen with the new update... so I bagged the 1 million credits from RBR while wiping my tears, headed to the Legends dealer and consoled myself with the Delta and the Sauber C9, even if that meant prolonging the purchase of the F50. Then I went and tried the new TT. I'm not fond of Grand Valley Highway, in general. While I bought my PS3 back in 2010 with and for GT5 (plus as a Blu-Ray player) and I also have GT6, I'm not exactly well-versed in most original circuits (doesn't mean I am in the real ones but at least I have some ideas about the general directions

). I'm also a late starter with GT7 and PS5, never had GT Sport or PS4, even a later starter with the TTs, thus my first real meeting with Grand Valley was the TT with the S2000 there - and boy, it was a struggle. The tires were ****, I felt I was on ice and the track had zero flow, nothing made sense, barely scraped a bronze together - of course, up until the last few weeks that was the norm for me
Anyway, sorry for the long intro, did a few laps with the controller and gotta say, I'm positively surprised. The car is good, the track has some redeeming qualities, so this is definitely fun, way-way-way more fun than Gr3@RBR. I managed to get into the mid-bronze level, my optimal is about 4 tenths better than my current best and I'm absolutely sure that with the wheel I'm gonna be able to break into the silver territory. I hope I can do that without any guides but will see - goal is a strong silver now.
On a bit of a personal note, sorry for being off-topic for a moment: for me rally is Gr. A rally in the '90s when I went to high school and college. With that comes that the Delta is a legend for me and it's one of my all-time favorite rally cars alongside the first-gen Imprezas. In the early '90s, the Hungarian Rally Championship was dominated by the late Laszlo Ranga with a Delta Integrale. When the first Shell gas station opened in my hometown, they brought him and his car to the grand opening and I somehow talked to him for like 20-30 minutes, still surreal to believe it... Not sure about the year, but must have been around 1993 as we talked about another Hungarian rally legend (the late Attila Ferjancz) having some issues with his Escort RS Cosworth in their first year with the car.
And on that bombshell, let's get back to the TTs!!!
