I appreciate your integrity, I wasn't even aware of the hack at the start! I was only using the mini run-up before the start that gives you an extra 2mph only.
It's all good, glad you spotted this post to! I was going to jump on your stream if it was on and let you know. Ye I get the 2mph running start as I did that to that's all legit in my opinion as it's within the cones, but the 10mph is a full round the cones nuke 10mph mental one.

Here's the latest lap guide for you! All the laps shown are the "Official" way of doing it, but I do show you the "Unofficial/Cheat" way of starting a lap at the end in case no action is taken and it's the only way to get gold during the 2 weeks. Hopefully covered everything then that needs to be covered!

Not sure whether this is an issue or not, but I've reported it to PD.
Maybe it is a bit off TT topic question but....
How do you report it to PD if it is not some secret? :)

(also doubt PD will do anything about it, I remember Catalunya Rally Cross when people were going in reverse before start line all the way to the barrier in order to start from there, to get some extra speed entering the lap... )

I have had a message back around using that run off and it is allowed for this time trial but will be taken into consideration in future time trials at this location. So you can use it and you won't be punished.

I'm in a feedback group so we can post messages (Usually 1 person relays on). Not much happens in it to be fair but it's nice when we do get responses back!

Slow ass Gr.4 to follow up is just depressing, seeking to get rid of that very quickly sometime soon. Step up the game, Polyphony!

🤣🤣🤣 Maybe next time... perhaps... 🤣 🤣
Well I was going to say that it seems alright, that Silvia is quite lovely but seems we unfortunately will have to do a stupid cheat start to the lap. Ah... :/

Durn, that would have been nice and fun to do, however that layout of Willow Springs was not my strong point. When you get to Sector 2 and 3, it gets confusing and mind-blowing. You have to take that section real slow, or else you'll go in the sand trap. Just giving some advice and heads up for what to expect out there in the desert!

Good luck these next 2 weeks guys.

Well, it's okay... it's more fun and enjoyable than I feared... I went to see it thinking, “I'll do four or five laps for bronze or silver with a little luck...”🤔
But in the end, I reached gold pretty quickly... for now...😃

I'll probably have to do better... I saw this morning that a Japanese guy had deprived me of my Yamagiwa gold medal... Oh well... But I didn't have the courage to go back to jumping curbs with the R34...

FYI: I went red every time I tried to get to the other side of the cones... So in my launch laps, I shaved them to accelerate as early as possible... The next lap, I'm at +1.50 when braking: that's something at least...
And I was on “low” CSA.

Great thorough guide mate, I'm sure everyone will find it helpful and useful! Hope you're doing good. Enjoy your Thursday! Willow Springs is one of the attracting places to do TT's on, any layout.

Not sure whether this is an issue or not, but I've reported it to PD. You may see times suddenly drop by .5-.7 seconds on this weeks time trial as you can do a massive run and jump start through the cones. Could be a bannable offence or they may do nothing so just a heads up with it if anyones putting in any serious effort. I'll put something at the end of the video to explain. Definitely works though as I would have smashed my record and got a 25.6/.7 but stopped before doing it as I wasn't sure of the legality of a "Running Start".
Correct me if wrong @Tidgney here....

Isn't Willow Springs the only track where You can drive the car around the sandy areas off the racing track? Mainly because there is no physical barriers/walls?

I wonder if the TT glitch is related/by default active to this lenient glitch of Willow Springs that's been normal since ages.

No there are some tracks you can extend quite a fair bit through the circuit.

Fun fact did you know there is a 30 second penalty area at RBR?

It looks like the whole skid pan was modelled as useable (so only have track limits at the far sand) but the cones have collision to invalidate the lap. The problem is the cones are too far apart.

I would bet my hat they knew about this as it’s such a simple QA check but because we don’t use this track hardly ever for PVP stuff it got deprioritised.

Remember the teleport glitch at one of the Lago layouts used as daily, they hot fixed that because they use it a lot.

If you go on the sand it invalidates, as it's tarmac my assumption is the game currently considers it track which technically it is which is why it is allowed. As it wasn't a normal cone I decided to see if it worked this morning which is when I tried it. I did a slow lap with it to ensure it submitted (26.4) then went back to normal racing and reported as appropriate and tested to see how much of a benefit it gave.

What I meant about being off-track here in Willow Springs is that when You go off track on any other track, You'll be reset to the legit track whereas out here in Willow, we can so much drive into the wilderness (even if lap is invalidated) without getting reset onto the track.

You did the right thing @Tidgney by reporting it.

When I saw that the gold time had dropped by 6/10ths, I realised that they were going behind the cones...

but without touching them, which is why I went red... silly me... 🤔 🤣

Well, there you go... but I'll definitely have to go back before 13 days...🤔🤔😜

I'm going to try to do the same thing with the 4C... it won't be easy.. 🤔 🤔 🤣

Hi, why I don't see my result in the list?
I got silver time and 1 mio credits...
Thaks a lot for your great work on this tool for all of us!

Good fun at the Willow, with full cheat start. I shall now watch this time drop down to probably 1,000th or so over the next two weeks.

For those who usually use CSA, I would recommend not using it here. It helps a little in some places, but really holds you back in corners where slight oversteery slides help.
