I think you have me mistaken for a pro driver. My setup is T598 clamped to a $80 Office desk, and a swivel chair
You can’t trust these aliens, “swivel chair” = “Full Motion Rig”, clamped is alien talk for “hydroneumatic inverted pedals”, T598 is the star cluster he comes from.

Don’t trust the aliens. Be skeptical people be very skeptical!

🤣

That ain't what he's using now though.

Ya'll should check some of the discussion after however.

Cool place to store your ps5, I need to get an entertainment center like that or save up for one. But that's if I want to do it though. The only thing about using the wheel is the pressing on the pedals frequently which could cause leg/foot cramps for me, that's why I didn't buy another one. I remember back in 2002 my stepdad bought me my first wheel when I had the Playstation 2, I got it for gt3 and NFS Hot Pursuit 2. I had to press on the brakes a lot and turn the wheel which caused some cramps in my arms, legs and feet which freaked the hell out of me. I used it up until 2004 until I finally sold my wheel to someone. I tolerated the pain for 2 years until I couldn't anymore.

The RX7 isn't bad for a road car, a bit tail happy, but the only real downside is: i can't see the upper part of the rev counter in VR (the view is blocked by the steering wheel). Might not be the cars fault, but more the lack of options in the game to adjust the driver position or even the position of the steering wheel (i don't know if the car has this option, but japanese cars are usualy pretty well equipped).

First lap on the track and i spun 3 times! 🤦‍♂️ Took some time to get used to that agile rear axle.
But my biggest problem is called: TRACK LIMITS! I can count the not invalidated laps on one hand after that 1st session.:banghead:
Usualy in the AMG Arena or that chicane at pit entry is where the lap time turns red. That's why i drive pretty carefully at those spots and loose a lot of time. My optimal is 7 tenths faster than my actual best lap:

Maybe a 2:03 is possible for me, i just don't know if i have the patience for that.

If you sit slightly higher or lower/forward or back and hold the options button you can re position the VR camera which helps with things like rev counter visibility or shift lights in some cars etc.

Just as an FYI incase you didn’t see it, you don’t rev the car out and can shift anywhere from 6,500 to 7,500 which is before the hard limiter and even the shift chime.

Morning folks,

Didn't have much time due to the "heat-working-schedual" working 7AM - 3:30PM reduces my early morning sessions 😂 😂
But did check the RX-7 ofcourse!....

C: Beep........Beep........Beep....
D: Chicane = ****

It's fun in it's own way but i do have a problem understanding this car, very inconsistent with it, and we are not friends yet.
But that chicane is just sooo bad with this car 😂😂

Looks great though

Thanks a lot for those tips! :gtpflag:

Endless racing driver excuses ... and then post a lap time that is position 107! 😜

Seems your autocorrect is set to American. “tires”, I can only assume because the site is American and the majority of the audience.
It's not autocorrect. I type in American because, yes, the site is American.

I won't budge on "aesthetic" though, and do occasionally drop in some not entirely Transatlantic idiom just to confuse @Jordan

I didn’t know there was a US version of “aesthetic”, or is it just hard for yanks to say, like “maths”?

After seeing the lap guide by @Tidgney , I gave the TT a try but with M/T as A/T is much slower because of the traditional gear shifts which here are long & tedious.

I was able to shave off about 2 seconds of my previous PB which was 2:06:9xx. The braking references & ideal gears through some specific corners was helpful indeed. Even though I'm in the Gold category, I'm still far off from nailing the TT.

A question to anyone who could answer:

- When entering onto the main straight as per the lap guides, it's been suggested to start the lap in 4th gear but when finishing that lap, it's suggested to stay in 3rd gear crossing the finishing line. So does this need to be on alternate laps? Because either You stay in 3rd or 4th when crossing the line to finish/start a new lap!

Tried my hand again at Willow Springs after watching @Tidgney's ever-helpful video and loaded a fellow Hungarian's ghost.

About 3 seconds improvement so far, still at least almost a second to gain to be safe for silver. Unlike with the 4C, I can see a possibility, not sure whether I can reach it though. Gotta use the starting cheat, otherwise I have zero chance.

Also tried the new TT, had to turn on TC (2) alongside CSA and ASM. At least I'm familiar with the track layout this time - not like where to brake, where to turn in, that would be too much too ask :) So far no guides studied, no ghosts loaded - will see how it goes after doing that, so silver may be in the cards. Gotta be honest though, I started to believe that I have what it takes to be a low level stable silver TT driver. After failing majorly with the 4C and struggling hard to get even close to silver with these 2, that's a major reality check LOL

Man that Amemiya wants to drive backwards.
My FFB settings in no way allows to make T4 quick and without spin. Car oversteers but wheel says zero torque in there (even with CSA). When I'm happy with the speed and line in T4 then sudden death by spinout.
Took me 300km to shave 500ms from1s gap to optimum 2:03.400.
Still 500ms laying somewhere. Probably mostly in S1 specifically T4.
I give up at 2.03.952.
Goal of reaching 2.03 reached.
