This is the most relative comment i've ever read! :D

I saw top replays and try to mimic the upshifting. Did more than 300 km yesterday.

About aids, my times are about the same with nothing and ABS weak+ TC0 as with ABS default, CSA weak, TC1 and stability management on. Just wanted to know if i'm the only one.

Brake Balance is of course interesting. :)
 
Managed to get my time down to 25.449 — honestly happy with that, so I’ll take it. Monza’s done, now it’s on to Suzuka.

Big thanks for the advice on this combo — braking early really does wonders.

That first chicane though… man, it feels like it takes forever to nail. Either that, or I’m just that bad šŸ˜….

And yeah, I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again: I really wish GT didn’t have such unrealistic track limits. Cutting corners left and right ruins the flow for me, and mounting those sausage curbs is just šŸ’©šŸ¤¢.

Nope, it is the chicane. On the few times I get a good entry over the first sausage, the exit sausage is a lottery for me. The winning numbers tend to be early entry with low level flying, or I-got-through-great adrenalin rush oversteer on exit.

I might be back though, as I have another tenth or two if I can just nail it.

Very good!! My experience is the same with the chicane. Curiously, early turn in for the second sausage gives me the feeling I'm cutting too much and will invalidate the lap, but that doesn't happen.

Did the Clio @ Sardegna A, and got into gold range after only two laps - but I decided to improve my time a bit more on top of that. Then I did some laps at Suzuka with the BMW M6 GT3 Sprint Model, and got a very solid silver time, though I don't see myself shaving off around a whole second to get decently into gold range. Likely gonna try the Porsche 962 @ Monza next - I'm very interested in the fact that it's the layout without the first chicane!

Amazing job on the run and it's awesome to have us back in the top 3 together got to watch out for samjack tho as he's crazy fast on sector 2 and congrats on that 2nd to last turn as it's so hard to get right and you nailed it. :)

Y'all are gonna have to get back to work to reclaim the controller P1 honours. C Spec ran a 2'04.020. Haven't logged in but I'd bet he has hidden his replay. 97% confident anyway.
 
Man i struggle at Suzuka, I just find it a very tricky place. How anyone ever turns a lap in the RCF is beyond me, I simply get nothing from that car ever, clearly that's a me thing. The 911 feels pretty good but yeah make any error on weight transfer and the rear can swing round under braking but she does turn her nose in which is nice in the first sector. Audi is too twitchy without the HP of the 911. BMW is oookaaaaaaaaaaay but I suspect i'd need to go back to the Beetle to get gold.

Yep jumped in the Beetle and I am at a 2.00.8, was on track for a 2.00.500 but got distracted by a spider on my wheel dammit.

Hello there! Long time no see!

I kind of lost motivation to seek the fastest time I could set in these TTs lately, that's why I've been hitting gold and calling it a day. You guys are too fast! It's been hard to keep up! šŸ˜…

The Suzuka one was harder than expected for me, I never really understood the track. I found my time with the Renault RS 01 GT3 after trying out my favorite car (Viper) and the meta (BMW).

Monza was even harder for me, the Lesmo corners are lap time killers and don't get me started with the sausages.... But the Porsche 962 is an amazing car! Driving Bellof's track weapon will always be fun. I guess I'll have to come back to it because my gold is far from safe.

Pretty smooth this time around! Had a .494 after just a mere 90 kms. Pretty solid lap apart from the church corner which needed fixing and post-fixing with a corrected and better line I got the lap down to a .308. Switched to ABS weak here, can’t really properly explain it but kinda felt like it turned better in some corners with more predictable and controllable sliding.

Anyway, happy with that, thumbs up. ;-) Suzuka Gr3 up next.

All 4 in gold right now, I think the nsx time is safe but not 100pc convinced. Not a lot of time for me to find on that one, maybe 2 tenths in me.

Suzuka was a bit annoying, my optimal time kept dropping lap after lap but I kept messing up a corner here or there, so annoying. I think the time is safe but my optimal was a 59.8. Beetle all day every day, nothing else comes close in my hands anyway.

Yeah I'll give it a go today and amazingly enough he did save his run as you said after this post but another plot twist is the Japan guy in p2 on a 0.13 no clue if he uses a controller or wheel.
 
For Suzuka, is there a big time difference based on how much inside curb you take at degna 1? I’m not consistent enough at the start of sector 2 to figure this out myself.

if I can share a tip in exchange, it’s the hairpin. If you’re just going for gold, exit the hairpin in second. If you’re trying to find time, exiting in 1st is a way to shave 2 tenths or more.

And for 130R, if you’re struggling to take it flat, try learning the exact car placement of how much inside curb you need to take to consistently take it flat. Whatever you do, don’t lift!

Edit: while I’m here, what are your tips for the lesmos at monza? I’ve managed to never learn lesmo 1 so I always ruin my approach to Lesmo 2.
