Hi everyone. I am currently working on a tune for the Takata Dome NSX '03 for Motegi. Right now I'm at a 1:46.8 with no aids (including no ABS) with the DS3 and here's what I have so far:

Specs
528hp @ 7,900RPM
353ft-lb @ 7,800RPM
1170KG

Parts
High RPM Range Turbo Kit

Suspension
Ride Height: 10/-15
Spring Rate: 9.7/10.7
Dampers (Extension) 5/6
Dampers (Compression) 5/6
Anti-Roll Bars 6/7
Camber: 1.0/0.5
Toe Angle: 0.00/0.20

LSD
Inital Torque: 5
Acceleration: 35
Braking: 20

Downforce
30/60

Brake Balance
4/1 for no ABS. I haven't tried this with ABS so feel free to experiment :)

Ballast
0kg @ 0

Power Limiter
93.0%

As I said before the tune is still in development and I'm trying to find ways to improve the car. I have yet to play around with the Camber and Toe so that's why it's still at the default settings. If anyone has any tips to improve the tune just let me know. I have never made a tune before so this is my very first one. Good luck and enjoy :)

Edit: Whoops! I forgot the Gear Ratios :dunce:
Use the gear ratios from Adrenaline's tune.

You were also using ABS 1, but I won't tell anybody.

Only masochists drive without ABS1 in my opinion. To me it is a given unless stated otherwise.

Thanks for keeping mum on it though Cargo', ha ha.

I have just noticed that our PS (GT5) name is now under our name here, although mine is actually dlone47, (in case you want to send money).

Nah, thats alright. I'll just pay for your next 5 visits to SRF Anonymous for you. Just wanna make sure my money goes for a good cause. 👍 :sly:  ;)

I think I may have made something near competitive for madrid, can a couple faster people try this tune out in the time trial for me (fraid im pretty slow myself with a 1:34.000)

Audi TTS Coupe 09

Oil change
Rear spoiler

All weight reduction
Chassis stability
All power modifications including high rpm turbo

Max rear downforce

Transmission - set top speed to max, lowest, then back up to 167 or so (havent played with gearing yet)

Differential-
Front ~ 8/12/16
Rear ~ 12/18/12

Center differential is 35/65 split front/rear

Suspension
Height - -21/-19
Rate - 7.4 / 8.3
Extention - 5/6
Compression - 4/6
Roll bars - 3/4

Camber - 2.3 / 1.0
Toe - 0.08 / -0.10

Brake balance I still have at 5/5.

I like seeing what unexpected cars can do against the best ones. Im quite slow most of the time and would be flattered if someone could see what this tune is really capable of.

I've got to say, I love Twin Ring Motegi & Golded this one pretty quick with a 1:50.2 using the Loctite Mugen NSX '01 with a Praiano tune (least I think it was one of his, it's been unused for a while) I'm thinking anywhere sub 1:50 is pretty good going on this track, so that's my mission for today, 1:48 here I come.

Hi everyone...etc.etc..

Suspension
Ride Height: 10/-15
Spring Rate: 9.7/10.7
Dampers (Extension) 5/6
Dampers (Compression) 5/6

...etc...etc..

You really meant the car to have it's nose up like that? It's ok, I've seen some pretty weird but effective uses of the ride heights, but I wondered if you'd forgotten a'-' ?

i tried this with the standard (not tuned) nsx blue one (forgot name). did 53.1xx on cold tires (first round) and gave up. i will try again, but without a tune this car spins out way too fast imo. also the #1 car (mugen nsx), where can i buy that? is it from the ucd cause i couldnt find it at the honda dealer. ds3 user btw.

if the takata is better will buy that and tune it (the stats say the 3 or 4 nsx's should be the same, bhp and weight is the same, as is the car).

also i noticed that the #1 amo the belgium player was using active steering on his tt record when i watched it on my ps3. now that i watched it again through this site, it says no aids. weird.

i need tunes, help please.

Thought about that myself, wondered if it was meant to be -10 / +15.

Over to you Doodle'.

Just picked up your car Killer, let you know how it went with me behind the wheel. (stabbing buttons actually)

First impression Killer, brilliant. I just dropped down from 1:50.2 to 1:50.06. Your car corners easier and faster for me than Adrenaline's does. I would have been in the 1:49's but I was so excited telling my son about it as I was coming to the finish line I forgot to change gears. He pointed that out to me, ha ha.

I wonder how Adrenaline would do with it? And haven't sighted a time for Cargo' here yet.

Next lap...1:49.8. Down to #818 now.

ok, so I've tried the GT500 TT with both the HSV and the Nomad Diablo. HSV was quicker, but not enough for Gold, even with the tune (keep in mind, I'm no expert at this). I'm curious about the Takata, but I don't have the '03, nor can I find it right now. Is the Takata '06 sufficient enough, or is there another car or even a good tune one can recommend?

Haven't been able to run this yet, but I have a couple of quick questions for anyone who's run a quick time...

I assume you are using used cars with no oil change?

Does it help or hinder the handling if you carry out the chassis refresh on these cars?

I had a 0 mileage Takata NSX that ive never used before changed its oil and ran the TT. But my time is really not good enough as i am still learning the track. :)

It handles good i did not do any chassis refresh but i installed the front and rear strut bars from the tuning shop.

Hope i could up the pace when i do my laps later. :)

te?

I'd always advise against installing the chassis strengthening... just adds understeer!

Really? Thanks for the tip! :)👍 In most or all of previous TTs you dont have chassis strengthening installed?

Ive installed this and it cant be removed right?

I managed to gold both by a few seconds, that's all that matters to me XD

That's what I'm going for as well.
I know nothing about tuning, so I will never be capable of setting a really good lap time.
Biggest reason why I liked the C7 on the Nordschleife so much:
All competitors driving the exact same car with the exact same settings.

Proud to hear that, thanks....you know, my cars are always online....you tried the takata or the loctite? i made my record with the loctite

I used the Takata so I could directly compare it to Adrenaline's loaner.

Took TC off and have been trying without it but although I can get a fair way ahead in some sections I haven't been able to improve with it as yet.

I'll try the Loctite tomorrow. Thanks again.

No, I ment to have the ride height like that.

No, I ment to have the ride height like that.

Thanks. The car is certainly much more 'glued to the road' with all that downforce, but I preferred a little tail slip in those tight corners to get the car pointing the right way. I'm at 504th right now with Adrenaline's tune. I'll see if I can improve on that with your tune or maybe a hybrid.

I took a whole 1.5 seconds off going from the HSV to my Mobil 1 NSX.

So much grip with that thing !

I'd always advise against installing the chassis strengthening... just adds understeer!

I have found that that is not always the case, just depends on the car. Sometimes it actually helps.

I'm sitting on a 1.48.xxx which is not exactly front running but I know It's me that is preventing a better time not the car. I have fresh oil and didn't change the chassis.

I'd always advise against it too unless your willing to buy two of the same car to compair.

Yes, thats what I do. I have learned from doing the WRS TT's that in some cases, it does help the car. Guess it might be up to driver preference as to what kind of feel he likes the car to have, but for me it doesn't always hurt the car. But yea, whenever I start an event, I always have two cars to do comparisons. Thats always one of my starting points. If you don't experiment, then you will never know and you may even be surprised at the results. Nothing against anyone as advice is always welcome, but if you continue to take everyone at their word, then you are missing some discoveries.

I'd always advise against installing the chassis strengthening... just adds understeer!

Would it be advisable to add it to cars with oversteer and not to cars with understeer as a general rule of thumb?

So where can I get a Takata Dome '03? I see the '06 for sale but the '03?

You have to find it in the UCD. The '03 car is actually pretty difficult to find compared to the other cars GT500 cars.
