where can I find out about this competition?

Yeah, are we good enough Cargo, or would you/we be embarrassed by us? I remember trying to race online last year and finding the physics so different I felt a right tw*t.

I found in used car dealership the Loctite Mugen NSX 01 after lot efforts :D, i have increase the power of the next stage, and i make lap 1'.49".930 in motegi .... from lap 1'.50".8 before, with Xanavi GT-R 08 ...

are i find more unstable the Loctite NSX 01 than the modern SuperGT cars, especially those with front engine, but in this race track i can go a little faster and me also with older version of NSX... i think... i will see

You have to join the WRS. There is a qualifier you must run before you can be accepted into the WRS Registry. After completing the qualifier, it usually takes 2-3 weeks before being added to the registry. You have to be a member tho to compete in the events and have your times reconized.

I urge everyone to join the WRS. Its a great way to further inhance your skill set as some of the best drivers on GTPlanet participate. Everyone is very helpful and friendly there and I have learned alot and improved greatly since joining the registry. Looks like links have already been provided so just check them out and see what you think. Here is the link for the qualifier that you will have to run.

There are weekly races as well as time trial events. So, join the fun and register.

@Dalone: Sorry, but SRF is not allowed in the time trials.

@SirAlanClive: Nobody should feel embarrassed. Its all a learning experience and nobody makes fun of anybody there. You should join, its quite fun and I think you'll like it.

I Golded these both last night. Did Motegi with the Honda Weider HSV and after lots of attempts and trying to learn the track and beat my ghost at the same I managed it with a rubbish time just under the Gold limit.

Then I did Madrid in the GT-R SpecV (GT Academy Version) '09 and tuned it with Dr Slumps Car Ambulance tune, tweaked it to have less understeer on Comfort Softs and found the transmission was set too high as well. So I think after three full laps and a couple tweaks I managed to Gold it. The most critical thing with this one is the first chicane. Because you have to break early I needed to know when to brake using the markers on the side and getting it right wasn't easy. I think it was somewhere between the 200 and 100 marks.

The rest of the corners are pretty similar, go in too fast and you'll not get round them, they're very tight and on the comfort softs braking is critical to get the right entry speed. I messed up a lot of the corners and when I got the Gold I didn't think I was going round them that fast, and thought no I've missed out on the Gold because I've not got the time, I forget exactly what it was, but the Gold time is 1:xx.500, I thought because I hadn't got it below the 1:xx that I hadn't done it, then when it said you've got the Gold I was like huh?

Anyway these were both fun TT's and the first that I've ever Golded because I was never into TT's before the C7 one (I managed 7:51 with that, but couldn't find the time to Gold it). So I'm looking forward to the next ones.

If you haven't tried the HSV or the GT-R SpecV (Academy Version) on these give them a go, the HSV will not do as good a time as the Takata Dome NSX '03, but it's easy to get it setup, I used Lewis Hamilton's tune on the 600PP GT500 thread, chanced upon it, and won it with that. Both were good fun cars to drive, but the GT-R had quite a bit of understeer.

The online physics have changed drastically since then, they are more like offline physics (not identical, but the difference in times is only minor) and I think the TT's are run offline for WRS, but don't quote me.

Yes, the time trials are run offline in either Arcade Mode or Practice Mode. On occasion, they are run in the online Seasonal TT's, usually using different cars than the mainstream. Such is the case this week. One of two cars can be used. Either the Nissan Calsonic Skyline '00 or the Nissan Loctite Zexel GT-R '00.

tks man, i´ll add some cars to my garage looking foward to it. cheers

Just finished running a number of laps at madrid and luckilly broke the 1'29 barrier :)

Previous time - 1:29.187
New time - 1:28.361
(DS3 all aids off except ABS1)

Time to focus on motegi and hopefully break the 1'47 barrier. :)

Any of these 3. The Loctite seems to be the consensus favorite.
Mobil NSX 01
Loctite Mugen NSX 01
Raybrig NSX 01

Well the Loctite is at least 2s faster than the Diablo, so I've easily got my gold. I might just manage a sub 1.50 with a few more laps. Thanks for the advice.

I'm running a GTR VSpec on Madrid but I can't seem to get anything better than 1:29:150

Where are you guys picking up the extra second? Any tips? Can anyone share their tune?

I'm using the tune that was given earlier in the thread for the VSpec, but with some adjustments:

502hp
1456kg (or something)
No ballast
40/60 torque distribution
No aero

LSD
7/7
30/35
10/15

Camber 3.2/2.6
Toe -0.03/-0.15

I don't know if its my tune holding me back or what, I try and carry as much speed as I can through the first turn, I brake until just before the bump/turn in then I try and accelerate through it. For the second turn, I try and dive deep into the corner and brake late, then do a sharp turn and try and accelerate out of it in a straight line again, sort of taking the corner like a /\ shape instead of a more circular way.

Check my sig, you can use the Seasonal Event section for tunes specific to this TT, or the main section and try one of the 21 existing tunes for the SpecV.

Managed a 1:51.037 eventually using Praiainos's tune on a Raybrig NSX. Got my gold and never want to see this TT again thank you!!!

Kind of changed your tranny settings, but this got me 1:29.8 and i know have a second more i could grab...currently 235...we'll see for how long. Thank you much :)

Hi, i'm using the same setup, would you mind revealing what tranny settings you used?

That happened to be my daughter giving it a try on my account. I told you, I haven't been participating in these events for awhile now as I have been devoting my time to the WRS.

I think you are either giving yourself way too much credit or are underestimating my skill set. Not sure which, but either way your "ass whipping" comment may come back to bite you in the ass. :sly:

Cargo on another thread; "I'll see if I can find a workaround. Not that I'm any real threat to win, but I just like to compete in as many TT events as possible. The more I'm able to compete, the better my skillset becomes. Really looking forward to the regular GTA this year. But still haven't cracked gold at Motegi yet? Maybe not taking enough notice of the 'little things' in the race, shadows even. Ha ha.

But don't feel forced to saddle up here, after all, with your stated, "improved skillset", you would probably put us all to shame, maybe.

Meanwhile I'll continue trying to crack into the 1:48's, still a tenth to go.

its nice to see that there are more "grumpy old men" in this forum:)
i particulary loved the "honey this is important, somebody is wrong on the internet" statement about the Kebabs Per Hour saga, oh and the ass whipping grandfathers:scared::) i just love this forum!!!

Anyway, my wife was away and i was playing around this morning,
for anybody interested, a potentially good transmition setup for the Takata
based on Adrenalines fine tune, gave me a 1:47.7
3.285
2.542
2.060
1.710
1.433
1.223
final 3.872 should give 272 kebabs per hour:)
lsd is 9/14/5 (Adrenaline)

as I see it 3rd and 4th gears could be fine tweaked further depending on driver preferences.
hope somebody finds this useful.
take care, and dont eat alot:)

Made some little adjustments (less aero), made me faster

Wow, reading the above bolded part really gave me a headache. Not sure what was meant by all that, maybe you should explain.

Also, how many times do I have to tell you....I am not interested in participating in these seasonal time trials as my time is spent in the WRS events.

Lastly, I think you are confusing (intentionally?) my "improved skill set" statement with elitism. I think you are taking that out of context in order to twist it around for your own benefit in order to call me elitist. Never did I say I was an alien or better than anyone else here, lets get that straight right now. I simply stated that my skill has improved over the past year, as witnessed and proven in the WRS. So, lets not go putting words in my mouth. I can enjoy a little friendly banter with you, but when you start twisting my words around in order to take your shots, thats where I have a problem. Don't try making look like some elitist pig, thats not how I am. I only say that I can beat you in a time trial event, not everyone else.

Like I said before, if you wish to compete with me, you can either join the WRS or wait until there is a Seasonal TT that comes up that I feel like running. Just remember, this is me against you, not me against everyone else. Good god, never said I was an alien.

Where did all this beef come from.

Sorry guys, what was supposed to be some friendly banter, Dalone appears to have made it personal. I'll stop now seeing that he can't play nice. End of it on my part. Again, my appologies.

👍👍 TT's are just not my thing but I wholeheartedly agree with this. I learned as much from trying to qualify for the registry about the Nurb as I did in 2 years of avoiding racing there...lol. So much so that I actually started driving the Nurb for fun and tuning cars for CSLACR's Nurb PP Board which is a 180 for me. The guys in WRS are very supportive of all skill levels and negativity/criticism/childishness you often find in the Seasonals Forum just isn't present over there. It really is like night and day. I pop in here once in a while for a tune but mostly for laughs to see who is mad at whom. But I go into the WRS TT forums to actually learn something.👍

just going to have a go at motegi and have 3 Takata dome nsx 03's just wondering whilst they are all 0/0/0 cars 2 are 472bhp 572pp and the other is 486bhp 577pp why the difference I wonder ?

even iif it's 0/0/0 ?

Yup. If you get in the car in your garage, change the Brake Balance or anything in the settings then go to GT Auto and do stuff in there the changes won't be logged. It will still be 0/0/0 but with an oil change or new paints scheme or aero etc.
