OK...Drop the Horsepower. 972hp

That much juice will leave you spinning tires too much, and spending too much time sideways ;)

Have you changed your ASM to 0 and TCS to 1 or 2? Both of these will help you control your car. :) You might want to turn your downforce up to Maximum. These will keep your car tighter to the track and give you better cornering ability.

And last, but note least :D welcome to GTPlanet!

u can get an f1 the easy way from the super speedway endurance, the polyphony001 or are u using the US version of the game, if so u get the F090/s? anyway lose some horse power, as soon as those tires go orange ull be spinning to the pits

I did this a few days ago in a 460bhp GT40 roadcar with the hardest tyre compound. The only competition was the 787b who was lapping about a second faster than me, but he pitted every 4 laps, wheras I pitted every 11 or 12 laps.

Although I did do allot of setting up before that in free run.

It should be easy enough for a moderate driver to do with one of the big four cars (787b, R390, GT-One and Zonda Racecar) on a fairly hard tyre compound.

Zonda_fan, what else do you have available? I think the Camaro is probably not a good match for that course. It probably doesn't need that much power, either.

I ran the Monaco enduro in an R390 road car with mild tuning. Let us know what other choices you've got and we'll make recommendations.

If you try in the Camaro again, let me suggest you brake way way earlier than you'd expect. Braking early at Monaco will yield much faster, smoother laps, with fewer wall bangs. The whole back side of the track really flows once you learn not to carry too much speed into the corners.

yeah, drop the hp to stock hp (which is nearly 600 anyhow) and t2 tires would be better. you can win on your pit strategy. :)
grab a handfull of downforce but becareful as more downforce = quicker tire wear too.
a short gearing will get you up to speed quicker.

Ah, the classic "pit like the more you do it, the more lieky you are to get your eyes pecked out". I think it was the Miata enduro where this strategy was taken to hilarious means. I had T2s on my crappy little mazda, and the computer had somthing way too soft. He started as #1, and was a tiny bit faster than me in most the laps, but he pitted just about every 4 laps. I on the other hand pitted twice the entire race...since miatas are light and have next to no downforce or speed or resistance or any of that, I could go 15-20 laps before going red.

The R390 road car sounds a good one Neon_Duke, and as Ving said shorten your gearing for better Accel. almost the only place you need to, just suprised he didnt mention his Fiat :D

reasonably stiff susp. would be an advantage as well, especially to help through those tight bits on the track
