Might need to edit the .ENG files with a text editor, try raising the torque at the lower RPM range (could be the car stalling).

Both cause my computer to crash.

I use paint.NET, with .psd and .xcf filetype plugins to open and edit the relevant files.
Might not make a difference with the crashing, but it is a possible option if you're using Windows.
