Tire wear and fuel consumption

So I tried the 20 laps of Fuji at the FGT World Championship, and my tires never wore down during the entire race, and nor did my fuel get consumed. How come?

Aside from endurance races, there is no tire wear or fuel consumption in any A-spec event. Run the tires on the ragged edge all you want as you will never have to pit.

However there is tire wear and fuel consumption in the arcade mode when you race in advance AI

Practice Mode you can choose. For some reason, there are missing options in A-Spec that are in Practice. Seems really strange to me.

That's not true. If a race is long enough (not endurance) the tyres will start to go off and it can be necessary to pit. It doesn't usually come into play as the races are short but try a 15 lap race around LM (if there was one) and it would be necessary to pit.
