I did 2 races last night, 20 laps and 27 laps, 15 cars with 14 AI....

man... they are blind.... side by side into the corner and they will keep their line thus push you to the grass....

and basically there's no blue flag for them... backmarkers came out from the pit and they will race against you...

hopefully the new patch will fix that....

The trick to dealing with the AI just like in real racing is to time your move.

Don't stay on their tail. Back off a little and build up your momentum. I plan my pass on the corner before the straight section I want to pass on.

If you are faster than the AI you should have the advantage and pass at the next corner.

If they're coming out of the pits, they have fresh tires. Expect them to battle.

If you can't make the move, back off and try again.

Remember, this AIN'T no GT6, but expect it to be in GT7. ;)

understand your point... what I am saying is... if both cars are going into the corner side-by-side together, normally for us human, we will leave room to the other thus taking a different line.. but the AI will NOT, they will keep their line and take the apex like you are not there thus got push by them...

it happened to me when:

1) I am in front of them
2) I am beside them
3) I am behind them.

omg...

regarding the AI coming out of pit.... he was a backmarker... was right at his tail when he came out from the pit and he gave no mercy... has to battle pass him... same as other backmarker(s) when I have to pass them normally...

I was a bit surprised too when that happened last night, cos I never had such weird AI in PCars before, I was on the right side of a M3 when going into the bus stop @ Watkin Glen and basically I got push to the side where he was taking the right apex-curb.

Then coming out of the 1st corner seeing a backmarker coming out from the pit, interesting I was catching up on him and all the sudden he out drag me and I have to follow him for couple laps because I got banged by him couple of times...

definitely not the usual "Gentle Touch"!!!

One thing I've noticed about the AI and their respect of you or lack of... There must be a magic % of car length advantage or disadvantage that they respect... It's easier to see out the side monitors but side by side to them does not mean yield position but if I'm just a fraction ahead they yield... If in a fraction behind they dive bomb that corner... So if you're in position and a hair ahead - they should back down - if you get your position by diving in - they usually will "play on" and hope you have to brake...

I've had more freezes and wheel hiccups since the 2.0 PC patch a week ago... Hopefully it's an improvement for you guys...

Hope you all had a good 4th

👍
So far I haven't had a problem.
Maybe I'm just being cautious or planning my passes correctly.
One trick is not to follow them too closely.
Back off then charge as the AI enters the corner.
If you time it right, your momentum and a little draft will help you pass them as you as exit the corner. Now you should be side by side. Protect the inside line.

Then it's a matter of out braking them into the next corner.

 Great racing tonight. A full house of Mercedes-Benz drivers.
The Mercedes SLS AMG is a handful, but a blast to drive.
Sorry mexxi. Suzuka is my Team's away from home circuit. We drive to win.

Next Monday July 13th we'll mix it up with a Manufacturer's race version of their street car.

Trying to get a pic of the roadblock crash @ LeMans, but the replay feature being terribly designed is frustrating me. Heres to hoping I have more patience tomorrow.

Lets say that we want to ask for a petition for them to allow us take pictures during replay and switch players during replay as well... where would some one go? and what would be the requirements? ..... Just asking
