I like my stink hole...

Seriously though - learn some friggin' discipline. The whole reason the forum's good is because there's an unwritten code that the members by-and-large stick to.

That's why the forums are readable and (gasp) helpful, and not just a pack of illiterate kids swearing at each other.

I've haven't heard such whining since I rode in a mate's EH Holden with a stuffed diff.

Settle down...

This is kinda funny seeing a thread about swearing in a nice place like this. Hummm, I wonder why??

I think I got it. Well, thats because there isn't alot of swearing going on. Thats why members like it here. Some members think their smarter then the rest because they got a way to get by the filter. I think its stupid and retarded to think your getting away with it. Well your not, because its getting our attention from other members to do something about it. We should follow the rules set by the forums owner. If you don't then your gone!

I think what Ghost was trying to imply that your "getting away with" is exploiting a hole in the language filter written within the vBulletin code. I honestly don't think he was talking about the English language.

I see your point though. You’re in disagreement with Jordan's collective list of what he considers to be swearing words. That's just something you'll have to get over, so you....and everyone else can move on with life.

I also understand that it's natural, and helps the flow of your words being able to type a swear word in certain situations, but instead of taking the time to type [x][/x], try grabbing a dictionary. In the long run, you'll see a plethora of benefits.

Well excuse me....I just thought it was cause wasn't it closed for a while? I thought that's why GTP was getting so many GTFers here...

And I thought wrong I guess...

I guess I can add my two cents. Swearing is acceptable on playgrounds in the ghetto, in most correctional facilities, and military installations. Maybe, on occasion to get one's point across. But as far as "swearing like a sailor" (which I used to be) freely, You wouldn't go around yelling "FIRE" in crowded movie houses (I hope),so don't bypass the swear filter here because that's the way Jordan wants things. Also most of us listen to some swearing daily, that doesn't mean our wives, girlfriends, and children have to endure it. I know men who swear, but not at home or church, and they will get in your grill if you use "rough language" in front of their wives. Remember the old saying: "it is better to keep your mouth closed and let them think you a fool, than to open it and remove all doubt".
Your freedom ends where ours begins. This is a forum where ideas and opinions are shared. Is it too much to ask that the general rules of civility be adhered to?
How you conduct yourself in the real world is your business. And I wish you well in all your dealings. How you conduct yourself here is Jordan's business, and any and all who complain.

I read each post before typing this, the gist of the messages was that you need to "check yo'self before you wreck yo'self".
Please go forth and have a good day.
Here endeth the rant.

The point here is that if you or anybody else that feels that they have to use swearing should keep it to themself. If you must use the word or words then let the filter do its job because thats what its for. If we (the mods) think its bad, we will delete it.

Please use good judgement when posting. Most mature people do not use swearing to get their point across. As I stated before "We should follow the rules set by the forums owner. If you don't then your gone!"

but hey, do we all really need to see all the letters of the word? no. who cares, you can still swear and most probably people know what your saying so who gives a ****?
