ToCA 3 Shootout: V8s @ Laguna Seca

• DTM Race Driver: Challenge(PSP Germany)
• V8 Supercars 3 Shootout (PSP Aus/NZ)

Background Story:
What started in November 2009 has slowly (and irregularly) made it's way to mid-2011, surviving the release of more popular and more known racing games including GT5 and Shift 2. Jordan's done some great organising to the Online Racing Section so I hope this thread gets lots of traffic 👍.

Location, Location, Location:
We've had Brands Hatch, Pukekohe, and numerous DTM tracks. So why not give America a go? We're flying to sunny Laguna Seca in California!

Hop In!:
There are a number of Classes that race at Laguna Seca, but most of them need to be unlocked first I think (these are the only ones that I've Unlocked though ):

• US Muscle Car Tour
• Bonus 70's GT Cup
• 4WD Track Challenge (Both Class A and B)
• V8 Supercars International Tour
• Bonus BMW Williams F1 Team Shield
• Bonus Formula 3 Shield
• Bonus BMW ADAC Cup

One easy way to unlock the races is to play Pro Career on 50% difficulty and just one lap. You'll easily come first 👍
EDIT: Since it's been obvious for ages (due to most amount of votes) the cars that we'll be using are the Ford Falcon BA and Holden Commodore VZ V8 Supercars!

Rules:

• Go to: Simulation→Time Trial→[Chosen Discipline]→[Chosen Race]
• Corner Cutting is automatically turned on. Don't believe me? Try cutting a corner
• In the Pro-Simulation options: Gravel Traps and Damage are compulsory. Pro-Handling is not.
• All types of transmissions are allowed.
• Tuning is permitted.
• You may do as much laps as possible.
• You can discuss tuning options and your times here (try not to give an exact time, that'll just ruin the fun!)
• PS2, Xbox, PC and the PSP versions are allowed. You can use a wheel or a controller. Just tell me what you're using when you PM me your time (You can discuss it in this thread as well).

Deadline:
I'll let this run for a month (a few days will be needed to decide what class to use as well), If need be (i.e. you're desperate) I can let it run for a month. So the (first deadline) is 9:00GMT 31st July 9:00GMT 7th August 2011.

Actually the series don't match up. 2006 was a special edition game but I think it's only Toca 2 and then some. I have Toca 2 and it has most of the series in Toca 3. Ah well.

It doesn't show up in the World Tour and I was gonna buy the cheats for the game (some look well worth it) but CM is now using Facebook as their official site and www.codemasters.com/bonuscodes redirects to FB now. You unlock the international tour by getting a particular number of cups you have. Get cups by beating lap times in all of a particular series (I'd choose the rally stages in the Alpine, then the MG, as these are easy, as is the Lancia Stratos one). I don't know when you unlock it though

I think you would when you finish the World Tour. Took me about two hours to do the Pro Career+50% AI+One Lap. Even then I only managed to have about one hour of actual hotlapping
And regarding CM, turns out that their main site got hacked (I read about it somewhere ages ago and forgot about it) so they shut down the entire site and has redirected it to FB
EDIT: So far I've only had two people send in their times, so acknowledge this as an official postpone!

Just wondering if anybody else has this... on my version of the game (Apple Mac) if I go to Options>Bonus (or it may be Extra>Bonus - can't quite remember), I can choose all the extras I want on! All Championships, All Bonus Championships, Toy Cars, the Honda thingy, Indestructible Cars, Boost For All Cars, the list goes on!

You must've been able to buy the cheats. Unless you've completed the World Tour mode...

I guess I'm out of this, as it would take too long to get it.

It takes just over an hour to get it and the deadline's not till Sunday, so you could do one championship per night, a few on Saturday and spend the whole day (if need be) on Sunday. The only annoying ones are DTM, V8s and International V8s. All the other champs take about 10 minutes to complete 👍

It was bought from Amazon. Maybe the previous owner bought them or something. But then again, when he cleared the data, wouldn't that have been got rid of as well? Oh, well, at least I get access to all the championships.

By the way, I won't be using boost for this time trial.

When you complete World Tour, do you unlock everything else as well? I'm nearly finished it as I'm on Tier 27/28.

I'm not too sure, and there's 32 Tiers, not 28.
