I'd like to open this thread with a history lesson:
Modern BTCC is doing very well at moment, but what about the true glory days? TOCA Super Touring nearly killed the BTCC due to costs... the cars where quick, competition was fierce, but it was not sustainable.
But look at the cars. With rear wings and bodykits the cars didn't quite look like the road cars. Still damn awesome but touring car's are supposed to maintain a link with road cars.
Look at the 1992 cars here. They look like road cars. No mad spoilers and also lot less tech in them. And they still race like crazy. Brilliant racing.
So... is less not more? That is the question I want to pose to you as I gradually unveil TOCA Season 5.

Technical Changes
~A lower HP limit of 295hp
~A lower weight limit of 1150kg, however this will only apply to a couple cars.
~Racing Hard Tyres
~Longer Night Races at Le Mans!
~1 additional part added to cars now.
~1 part now taken away.
~1 part changed in grade.
~Fuel use / tyre wear OFF
~Stewards Panel to be re-formed.
~5 Teams MAXIMUM, 1 MAKE per Team set (so only 1 Ford team for instance).
~4 cars have been held off this season and will probably appear in Season 5
~Quadruple-header finale at the Nurburgring!
