Just awesome, well happy with the 1.20.900. Awesome battling with gokartman and carracer. :D
 
was ok tonight was a lot closer to the pack with my 1:23.4 late on in the session, had a bit of trouble with the brake settings but after a change got better results
 
im looking forward to the first race, im hoping to end up quite high in the championship (after the first round anyway) by staying out of trouble. i hope no-one else has the same idea, otherwise there's no crashes :(
 
I'd like to take this opportunity to publicly apologise to Strawman for hitting him under braking in the last hairpin in one of the test races this evening.

This was not retaliatory in any way for Strawman almost punting me off into the pits on the previous lap, but to just deliberately run into me at the first corner of the next lap was just childish and showed poor race-craft and was itself retaliatory.

Driving like that will no doubt invoke a warning or disqualification.

if i were you i wouldnt worry to much about a bit of punting here or there, i believe that it is also the driver infront who has some responsibility in the matter. A few laps earlier the same thing happened between us, and from then on i knew that the volvo would lock up easily (like the VW) you have to learn about the other cars around you and leave them space for error or lock ups. its only a test day anyway

and akmuq you were fastest by .5 over tombrooks and me, then there was 3 more drivers under 1:21.3 i think
 
Strawman made no effort to brake and took Fox off. If anyone does that in races there will be consequences.

That ABS off is going to make this season fun and annoying. I would say more but I'm not racing a full season so..
I didn't get a good hot lap in but I was faster by 0.2 in T1 and T2 on the 20.4 so I think I could just make a 20.1

There's nothing wrong with running a whole season without ABS. ;)

I'm sorry but it was just stupid what you did. You locked up into the last corner - didnt brake for the corner before so you locked up and tapped me when I went wide. Fine it happens. Next lap you do the same - not having learned anything the lap before and still keep your brakes on locking into me AGAIN when I go even wider. Then I get passed and you still lock up behind me, run on the exit and try and tap me to allow you some room. Then in T1 you again go way to late on your brakes, and because I floored it, just missed my rear bumper. Then I end up behind him again, I go to the inside and leave some room and BANG he turns into me.

You kept doing the same things over and over again. Understand that a mistake happens and its fine but when you keep doing it and bat people off, its not fine.


Also I saw in T1 on the first lap you braked about 20-30 yards over the normal braking point and rammed into a VW (no idea which one). Its not fair if you keep braking to late and causing crashes. Brake before you would with a car with ABS -no wonder you keep locking up.

Im not going to do it in the races - but just showing him how annoying it is to have a car ram you off your line. Sorry but it was 🤬 annoying me.

OK fine. I'll take stock of what you said. The Volvo is still evolving for this series and is a working progress.

Now, you take this in. Don't run wide and put others off its as bad as running into people. You did that more than one so don't deny it.

What you did is still bloody childish and shows immaturity and I won't stand for it.

The Volvo has been in TOCA before - its not new and everyone knows its a handful.

I can run wide. I can take a line I want to, because the person infront holds the racing line or their line. Meaning that if I decide to take a late apex line or brake later I can do so, as I was infront.


What you did was drive like a man with no control over his car, braking too late and causing too many crashes. What I did was return the favour - if you don't like being crashed into, don't do it.

And before you say it, next time you're infront of me or side by side with me - yes you can run me wide to the edge of the road (not off as I never did that) but you can because thats racing.

I'll make it clear: this season is a re-building of TOCA. Just because we have no stewards panel does not mean I will be any lighter. It's shaping up to be a bloody fun and mad season, lets keep it that way.

Look your obviously one of these people who can't be spoken to rationally and can’t take any responsibility for you actions. I didn't understand that you were totally blameless for everything you do and its everyone else’s fault.


I'm far too old for this kind of ********, going backwards and forwards with the "you did this, he did that" crap.
I came into GT5 for a laugh and some good racing, and not to take things to seriously. I had enough of that where I came from.
What’s done is done. Its water under the bridge for me now and I’ll comment no further.

TOCA is about good tough fun racing. We had some epic practise tonight you have to admit.
 
Guys. I might make the Legends race, but I CANNOT make the TOCA race! I have a race on Saturday night.....so I can't fly the TC flag. I forgot that m races are Saturday nights now.

Nasty. I had a rather dodgy curry the other night and it reminded me of the time you had the trots for the Monaro race. :lol:
 
Btw in the race I did a 1:21.2. I still rekon there will be no slots for me lol and I still hate Cape. It was a bit annoying when Tom lost huge ground then his VW still powered me off the track though.. (Ie drove through me)
 
A reminder, all teams need to have submitted their driver entry and sent friend requests to Furinkazen before Saturday or you will be kicked on entry to the lobby. Also ensure your cars body colour is identical to your team mate, differing rim colours are allowed.a
