Btw in the race I did a 1:21.2. I still rekon there will be no slots for me lol and I still hate Cape. It was a bit annoying when Tom lost huge ground then his VW still powered me off the track though.. (Ie drove through me)

Sorry about that, ran very wide. :grumpy:

It wouldn't have happened if you weren't in a VW :sly:. (Mazda seems to lack, imo, in corner exits and straights)

Apologies to everyone I hit, I am having major oversteer under braking still...

Strongly agreed, furi............

Mazda quicker than Honda in the straights........

Not moaning - happy with the balance of perfomance - Im just pointing it out that the Mazda is quicker than a Honda in the straights

Lowering the car and adding rear camber helped me. Also play with the final gear, it can be used to tune the car like the LSD would.

We''ll see how things play out.

One thing... everyone raves about how Akmuq and Honda are dominating single laps. Yes they are, but quali will be as much about who gets a clean lap as who is fastest..

Conclusion is, VW is too quick/incredibly fast on the straights :p

But Honda dominates corners, Infiniti starts, and Mazda is an all rounder. I reckon Mini can fly when Chris gets his braking issues done.

Honda arent dominating - we have just been quicker at the tracks which involve more cornering perfomance rather than top speed

HSR is a good example - we probably might not get podiums there due to the other cars playing there strengths.

Akmuq is quick and the Honda is very good but I reckon Mazda could win at Cape tbh - there been good

Agreed

VW is good at speed, and Ford is good at cornering too

We'll see Saturday ;)

Praying and doing every dance possible Furi you can take 16 people lobbies

Furi, tell everyone else on your street that a virus is in the internet cables, and that they should NOT go on the internet or use the phone at any time. just so we can have a lagg free race :D

From my tests Mazda and Honda are nearly equal on straights but the Hondas better in the corners due to its lightweight. The VW is ridiculas on straights I was in Toms draft up the straight and I never even got close.

But im surprised Nel was slower than me tbh.

Nel has done no testing... And VW is horrible under braking. Twisty tracks is does not like. I'm honestly going to struggle to get top 10 this weekend.

And wet weather is a complete unknown...

My first test was those first laps lol. I didn't even race that Cape ring before I joined the lobby :p.

But ive got a few ideas on how to get my Mazda faster (My first laps were done with no toe or camber just a Fwd suspension setup )

what will be interesting is the rain. the honda is light, which may lead to it aquaplaining, the infiniti is RWD , i'll be spinning all night, the sirrocco will end up in a barrier in a ball of flames, the mazda may understeer quite alot, the volvo will be wheelspinning all the way down the straight, the ford seems quite front heavy so may understeer, and the mini seems like the perfect car in the wet....

Yes but Tom was able to get 2nd in the VW, if he were in a different car, he's probably be 4th or 5th.

And to those saying how I've been fast, I've a brilliant setup, experience in racing without ABS and quite a lot of practice.

I've not changed the setup of my VW, have no experience (before this) with no ABS and only some practice. I'm not doing too bad all considered.

I just have struggled. First two races I see myself struggling for top 10's... then I may pick up.

I did have a lap I was 5 or even more tenths quicker on but my controller died on the final staight, was more than pi$$sed off :ouch::grumpy:

Bet yeah, with ABS im not as quick, I just want consistantcy this season and the teams title with Dax :)

Our Mazdas are the brightest cars on the grid atleast :D.

So what did people think of tonight?

Great, but I'm really scared about the S-bends. :scared: It's going to be chaos on lap 1, seeing as there's a "bottleneck effect" between the 3rd and 4th curves. And then there's the final hairpin...oh sweet zombie Jesus will that be messy if someone screws up their braking. :nervous:

I tested the Vw just because I was curious to see what I could do in it and I got a 1:20.4 .... Sumo will get better than that and win lol.

Edit: Made a few tweaks I thought would help the Mazda and got my pb down to a 1:20.8 :D.
