Not at all. It was the same with non-turbo vs. turbo engines in the BTCC last season.

Not at all. It was the same with non-turbo vs. turbo engines in TOCA last season, where the BMW was clearly the fastest.
Heres the Facts on Monza.
VW top speed: 156Mph
Mazda top speed: 149Mph
Infiniti top speed: 149Mph
VW lap: 1:59.7
Mazda lap: 2:00.9
Infiniti lap: 2:01.7?
gokartman78149?! you've jumped in the car for a few laps and your going 3 mph faster than me! new car i think![]()
I was hitting 149. I will send you my transmission settings when I'm next on.

Geezus, come on furi.......
EDIT: Im just gonna throw this out there, the thing im corncerned most about is we get to track like Spa for example and theres guys that arent VW's fighting for the championship, but because the VW's are dommiant (possibly) then those guys have to settle for fighting for 3rd/4th/etc which kind of takes an aspect out of TOCA, no?
Every car has strong and weak tracks. VW were 2 seconds behind at Cape Ring, did we penalise Honda or Mazda? No.
Tell that to Paul, he did his own tests and matched his qualifying time.
I disagree, Mazda's and Honda's should take advantage while the VW's struggle then we can pounce which makes things interesting.

Due to drivers, look at the testing times at Autumn Ring, it's 2 tenths off the Mazda, on an even twistier track, to be fair, if someone dialed in the Honda and did a couple of laps it would probably get another couple of tenths off, but still, if the VW is only 4 tenths off the Honda at it's worst track there is something wrong....
Thank you.
Again, think of the deer!
Scirocco's are too fast in straight line and will kill deer who think they can get across the track in time.
Put the deer in the town? 💡
In 2010 BTCC no one noticed the Ford speed - why? Because it was not scoring high points. Until it was at Brands everyone saw the advanatage. Atm I see no reason as to why the VW should be capped because even though it has a huge speed advantage it doesnt handle well compared to the Mazda
Id leave it until we get to Spa or Monza - see what Furi, Tom and Sumo can do. If there not on pole by 0.5 to 1 second I'd leave it alone.
Strawman's view - Im outta here 👍
Agreed, could you send that replay now mate?![]()
Nope - tired to upload onto PC and its not happy with it.
Im a bit busy here, homework, revision, dirivng lesson - Ive not had a 100% chance to try another way.
I can do it tomorrow - I'm just a bit over loaded atm - sorry mate, I know its annoying but my future has to come first - I need to pass exam
Hope you understand 👍
Not a problem at all mate, whenever you're ready. 👍
The VW is easy to brake with 3/1 or 2/0, also when I tested it I was constantly in the 20s with my best, a near perfect lap, in it was a 1:20.4.
Then I made more tweaks to my Mazda and got a 1:20.8 but I lost 3 tenths on another lap which ended as a 1:20.8 so theres maybe a little more to come from the Mazda.
Did some testing te VW isnt slow at all around Autumn ring I got a 1:20.1 in the VW there. Managed a 1:19.9 in the Mazda. Then we went to Monza I did a 1:59.7 in the Vw and so far in the Mazda a 2:01.2...
Also VW top speed 156 mph, Mazda 149..
2:00.9 on the absolute limit maybe more in the mazda but im still 1.2 off the VW time I set.
The VW is in my testing 1:20.1 at AR and 1:59.7 at Monza. The Mazda is only good for a 2:00.9 maybe a 2:00.5 on the absolute limit. The VW is plain too fast at Monza and needs some sort of cap.
