I'm thinking of doing the Tokyo 300 km with a Subaru Impreza rally car.

I have already tested without much tuning on R1s and I found I can do 1:45s consistently.

Is this about the pace of the A1 cars during the race?

I wouldn't suggest it with that car personally as your tyres will be your achilles heel. You race JGTC's in that race, so I suggest something along those lines.
If you want to do it in around the same pace, I'd look at the BMW M3 GTR Race car. It has 450hp (473hp after oil change), weighs around the same, and will give you a real good race with the front runners, especially if you're facing the Xanavi GT-R or the Motul 350Z. Buy some nice hard rubber and off you go. :)
Either that, or get an RX7 LM or build yourself a nice RX7 with around 500hp and tune it to similar specs. Very easy on the tyres and quick in all situations.
