I think, and I'm sure others here do too, but you're keeping quiet, that the "windtunnel" is a photomode location...
I agree that it's definitely using game assets in the engine (that is to say, GT5's graphics renderer) just with better (quality) effects and more processing time per frame - kinda like photomode itself!

Also, does anybody else think this is bitchy?

Makes me laugh, a game that has only had it's release date announced once, and delayed once, is cited as "oft-delayed". Hype-whores make me sick.

I checked GT official page and on the news release about the TAS they said:

"Visitors to the booth were able to try out the Gran Turismo 5 Time Trial Challenge."
And the pictures actually show just the TT demo everyone has seen :indiff:.

However, it also says that there will be tow presentations so maybe we'll be able to see more. "Presentations are scheduled for Friday at 3 PM and Saturday at 5 PM."

Here's the link: http://us.gran-turismo.com/us/news/d5185.html

(Is this old news? If so, I'm sorry. I just thought they were somehow interestig)

Good to know, we just have to wait and see. I 'm 100% sure Kaz wasn't talking about the TT demo since it's already "old" and downloaded millions of times.

I don't understand what you mean. Even on other forums I found people talking bad about this statement...
Why? What's wrong with it?

That's not something that should be posted on a respectable gaming website. Not that Joystiq ever was respectable though.

Full version....

Elsewhere, Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi is speaking at Toyota's booth about a new collaboration between Gran Turismo and Toyota. Presentations are scheduled for Friday at 3 PM and Saturday at 5 PM.

The presentation will probably only cover the GPS data logging concept.

Last bit.
"Additionally, pro driver Juichi Wakisaka will be at the Toyota booth on Sunday, the final day of the event, for a panel discussion, and will be taking challengers in a special face-off competition using a special demo of Gran Turismo 5."
Hope it's something new.

I still don't see why is this the biggest ever built of GT5 display...yes 3D, cool, real life comparison...cool too. But not as great as the CES demo in my opinion. I don't hate gimmicks, but I thought they would show some more in game footages of WRC, customization and such - It's a tuned car festival, after all.

Hopefully we will see some real deal on Sunday. I am interested by the Special Demo...

Just becuase this is the biggest GT5 display doesn´t mean we will get more info than we´ve ever gotten before..

He just said that they will announce more manufacturers. Nothing else so stop analyzing **** all the time.

Well if we don't get anything on Sunday then it must have just been for that Toyota thing. Big woop that was.

He (Kaz) did confirm there will be a new manufacturer deal revealed. Could be big, could be small, or it could be some tuner somebody has never heard off. Or they could be officially announcing RUF, because there is no proof to show RUF will be in GT5 (Although there is lots of evidence...).

There certainly is more to come, i don't think it will have been the Time trial demo all weekend.

What if the Toyota GPS thing was the manufacturer deal? :scared:

Kaz said all gt4 cars will be in gt5 and RUfs are in gt4 and gtpsp so 100% RUFs will be in gt5 hopefully we will get some new models as well

RUF are in GT PSP, in the manual it clearly states you can transfer your garage to GT5, what more proof do you need?

Proof and evidence are synonims yeah.

But the windtunnel can't be a photomode stage, because in the staging mode the cars are stationary right? And clearly the car's moving

WTF? this makes no sense..

Proof and evidence are the same thing right?

Proof gives certainty. The fact they are in GTPSP only provides a strong likelihood, because it is just evidence and speculation not proof.

We havn't seen any RUFs in any GT5 videos yet. But i expect they kept them out of the trailers etc. so they don't get mistaken for Porsches :)

None of us know if every GTPSP car will be in GT5 and available for transfer. All thats been confirmed is that we will be able to transfer at least some of the cars. Try not to be too optomistic and draw conclusions from simple statements.

Dude, read the manual, it doesn't say "some cars in your garage" it says " your garage" why are you trying to see problems that aren't even there?

We'll see. I think RUF are in, but i don't think every car in GTPSP is in GT5. Mainly because some cars in GTPSP were duplicated to accomodate multiple regions. In GT5 there will be the model specific to the region like in previous GTs. Although being pedantic, that isn't confirmed either so i could well be wrong.

The car doesnt move, its standing on rolls.
I also made a GIF yesterday:
