Looks like it's time to go word hunting.
I hope the PS5 release isn't near FH6 either...I hope the PS5 release isn't near GTA6.
Oh man that would suckI hope the PS5 release isn't near FH6 either...
I hope the PS5 release is this year.I hope the PS5 release isn't near FH6 either...
I decided to take a similar approach, starting with the ND and playing around with extra rules. One thing I've realised is that the Vellfire traffic car has got hands!I decided to start again, this time with the ND as my first car and with extra rules enabled from the beginning. Can't wait to get properly stuck in, I've beaten the first round of bosses already but haven't gotten much further. Love it!
The Vellfire's got a pretty decent V6 and short gears at the bottom end, so it can definitely hustle off the line. If you can hold on until it hits that highway gear though, it's well and truly cooked. Even moreso if you can make it tap the brakes and get bogged down in fourth.I decided to take a similar approach, starting with the ND and playing around with extra rules. Same, but I bought the EK9 as soon as I got the money to, it's way OP at this stage of the gameI decided to start again, this time with the ND as my first car and with extra rules enabled from the beginning. Good to know because I unlocked it then realised I didn't have enough BP left to unlock the perk that increases the credits you can have, and with close to the 10 million limit I figured buying one and upgrading it would be preferable to possibly maxing out my credits and losing some while earning the BP I needed, but I haven't used it yet. I did notice it had a lot more power than my ND though and I'm not struggling as it is, so an OP EK might make the game boring.it's way OP at this stage of the game
Wait, you can drive the FJ Cruiser in this game???Because I tend to make a questionable decisions, I decided to get an FJ Cruiser to see how long it will take to make it competitive.
It can't even keep up with a traffic AE86 in its stock form.
Life is pain.
Yes, and it's about as slow as it is in real life. I love it.Wait, you can drive the FJ Cruiser in this game???
Guess I know what my second car is gonna be now.
I mean, of course i had to pick one of the two most inappropriate vehicles for racing, and also you have to unlock it to get access to the Vellfire anyway so y'know.Wait, you can drive the FJ Cruiser in this game???

I'm at all lv. 1 except engine (lv. 2) on my FJ, fully slammed down and tweaked. I didn't really have any issues with 50:50 torque. IMHO, it feels better on the C1 loop or technical sectors where you can be a rolling roadblock. Definitely prioritizing my ND for now for new rivals.I mean, of course i had to pick one of the two most inappropriate vehicles for racing, and also you have to unlock it to get access to the Vellfire anyway so y'know.

Though once you get everything up to level 1 tuning, change the torque split to 20/80 or so, lower and stiffen the suspension and do a lot of screwing around with gear ratios, it actually starts becoming... okay-ish. You just kind of have to accept the role of playground bully and be willing to lock fenders with anyone who tries to get cute with you. I'm thinking I'll probably have to go in hard with defensive perks to really make it sustainable, but at least it seems like it's not just a joke vehicle that's only there as a BP sink.
Hopefully Genki can acquire the Isuzu license somewhere down the line (and not just for the VehiCROSS). The Pajero Evolution would also be an interesting/amusing addition. They need to bring back the VehiCROSS, but I guess the FJ Cruiser will do for now.
Oh, he asked about the update plan during an IGN live stream. Wanderer's speed is "pretty fast."- We are planning to add cars, but there is a licensing agreement, so it depends on the other party. - If the company allows it, we would like to continue adding content in updates. - As producers and developers, we are also willing to add courses and car models.
Also, I repeatedly emphasized that "a company is an organization," so of course, keep in mind that just because a producer or director is willing doesn't mean they can do it.
I mostly went with 20/80 since that's what most AWD sports cars tend to use, putting just enough power to the front wheels to let them bite in the corners. 50/50 made it too understeery, and my method of taking corners is to lift and coast on entry when I can since the AI almost always brakes going into them, so the more neutral I can make the handling the better. I also didn't fully slam it either, just dropped it two notches and made it just tight enough that it doesn't heave to one side when I make a quick lane change, and that seems to work just fine.I'm at all lv. 1 except engine (lv. 2) on my FJ, fully slammed down and tweaked. Yeah the overheating is annoying as it stands. My water temp is done after 2 races and there’s no radiator upgrade. They need to bring back the VehiCROSS, but I guess the FJ Cruiser will do for now.
I am really bothered by how quickly these cars are overheating. Maybe it's realistic, I don't know, but I remember back in TXR3 you usually never had a problem unless you were running either high horsepower or high boost (doubly-so with the overboost function). Stock cars would never overheat, but with TXR5 it feels like I can only travel like 2 miles in a stock 86 or EK and the temps shoot up far too quickly.
I don't know if you've got it yet or not, but it's probably more entertaining than the FJ. I can't wait until I unlock engine swaps.Vellfire
