Argh, I've hit a dead end! I'm at about 96% complete, and all I need are to GPS caches on Shipwreck Beach, and to find three or four mines, also on the beach. I know there's a cache on half a jetty near the tower after you work your way through the shipwrecks, but I have no idea how to get up onto it.

Quite a few of the mines are still in the sea. I don't seem to recall a jetty past the shipwrecks - could you provide the game grid co-ordinates? Or is it the platform on the other side of a rock formation north-east of the tower in the shallows?

If the latter, you need to try some trial and error running then jumping from the rock to the right of the platform (looking back in the tower's direction.) The rock can be climbed onto - just face toward the end of the platform/jetty and then run and jump. A few attempts should get you onto it.

Don't sell it. Go back and play it again - but this time, set the difficulty to hardest, don't upgrade your weapons, and don't spend skill points (just to be safe, don't enter base or day camps to avoid the automatic upgrades).
I already did that in my second run. First time I've played i did on normal and I've finish with 98% because of some glitch one of camp at Shipwrecked Beach didn't wanted to uncover it self. But i had them all four on my map. And i played on copy downloaded from web.

Second run i played on original but this time on Hard, wasn't that hard at all maybe because I've already know what to expect.

I love this game all the way, but i hate 👎 the hole it's left after i saw las movie and the pictures of crew who did this awesome game.

Since there is no going to be any Single player Add-ons i have to sell it in order to have cash for Bioshock INFINITE + Rapture Editions of 1 & 2 👍

There is a rock and two pole, one is longer and other shorter. You jump on rock from there on longer pole, and now on short one From this point if you manage to make your jumps successfully which isn't that easy you can grab jetty and climb on in. I've spend few minutes jumping on this stupid short pole. There is always youtube to help you. I found extremely frustrating to count the height on which each GPS cache was lying. Which one was higher and which one was lower than Lara current position on the map.

I solved it by going up the rocky outcrop that leads to the Sunken Vault tomb. There was a large buoy-like bundle wrapped in rope floating in the stream nearby; I used the rope arrows to drag it to a nearby waterfall, then went back down again and pushed the buoy up against the half-jetty. I could easily climb it, then.

I was also wondering how on earth I was going to find the 1,000 or so pieces of salvage I needed to finish off my weapon upgrades. But then I found the final GPS cache at the Cliffside Bunker, and got 1,000 pieces of salvage for it. Which is good, because I was wondering what the caches were for anyway. But that still doesn't explain their contents - I suspect there's a sub-plot that Crystal Dynamics left hanging ...

I think you mean 5000 pieces of salvage. They are in all the crates scattered along entire game.

No, I got all the crates - and scavenged every body for salvage - but I was still coming up short. I needed about 1,200 salvage to finish off all the weapons upgrades, and I wasn't looking forward to grinding in order to get it. But when I got all of the GPS caches on the island, I got 1,000 salvage to go with the 300 or so I already had.

Hey, I just got this.

I've gotta say so far... it has left me stunned! Interesting how towards the end of a console's life cycle, they make some brilliant games... ****** A man!! Definitely the most exciting TR game I've ever played. And I'm only 20 mins into the campaign!

Though makes me wonder how long the campaign's going to be, given the space it's occupying on my HDD: 5.6 GB.

Can youz folks confirm that? Thanks!

Sixteen hours has been quoted - took me closer to thirty. The game is also not really over when you think it might be, so watch out for that.

Campaign last like 20 hours for the first time, if you search and scavenge everything all by yourself without youtube, then it's 25 i think.

It's sucks you in and never let go, but when you complete single player for some reason there is a big hole and one question --> what ?? that soon? that's can't be right? i want MOOOOOOOOOOORE !!!! :)

I just need to know what install size is showing up on your HDDs.

Mine says 5.6 GB, but online sources claim 6.6 GB. I don't understand what data I'm missing exactly, since the game looks and runs fine.

It's a copy though.

You should tell us what version you're playing. I got 11.5 gb on pc.

Tom.B Raider that's super funny, and you didn't want to play this marvelous game :)

I've just sole mine copy of this game i did platinum trophy so there was nothing left for me to do. And if Code Masters / SquareEnix decided to release some DLC with extra tombs for single player i will be seriously happy :D and pissed  off in the same time.

That's why you don't really want to be selling a game. Question, what has Codemasters got to do with this? :sly:

Nothing, i was thinking about Codemasters because i still wonder if Grid 2 is worthy buying, on movies looks like game strictly for pad. So codemasters name is in my head, which was confusing i should wrote Crystal Dynamics <- same fist letter and stupid mistake. Like I've always confuse Hideo Kojima with Kazunori Yamauchi.

Oh and i needed money for Bioshock Infinite and Rapture Editions of 1 and 2, so after i am all done with game it's only natural behavior too sell it. And when no on line pass is needed to play it on-line i sold it pretty quickly not loosing to much money.

Yeah, my head says one thing while the fingers type another - happens all the time :)

I suppose selling games is a necessity for many people. I also hear that games can be pretty expensive out your way, especially new. I am lucky in that I can keep them to play again when the fancy strikes. Trouble is with the PS4 looming, I'm wondering how many of them I'll actually do that with. I did eventually give most of my PS2 games away last year and only have the occasional regret...

Do all games have trophies in the online part of the game? I was thinking about getting the platinum trophy for this game until i saw the online trophies you need. I'm not a online type of player, so no platinum trophy for me!! Liked the game though and hope there is another one coming!

You can cheat on-line trophies. For this go too ps3trophies.org and there you fill find what you looking for. Ill find that reaching level 60 was pain it the ass, but lucky you don't have too do it three times in order too reach "prestige 3" Also other trophies are relatively easy too do it.

Thanks for the information. I will just pass on the platinum trophy! Thanks anyways!

Not all games have a heavy online presence for trophies, most have a few token trophies in that area.

As ussr says though, the PS3trophies site is awash with people who seem more interested in getting platinums regardless of the games they need to play to earn them. There are others though who work out the quickest way to get them all. Handy tips too if you do decide to go that route.

I haven't played any Tomb Raider before - but I think I have to try. I'm currently playing the newest one - it's just great.
Be prepared for a lot of pain with the older ones - they had some of the most annoying gameplay imperfections going. That being said, they were a lot of fun when not expecting you to be very precisely positioned for certain jumps or combinations.

If you want to say hello to original Tomb Raider, then go for Anniversary Edition.
Less pain, less swearing, less game controller destroyed. :sly:

Just finished up Bioshock Infinite and so far I still vote Tomb Raider as GOTY 2013. I think the only other games that will give this game a run for its money will be GTA5 and The Last Of Us.
