Just nearly finished a vector myself. I'll post it when i get time. Still can't do the lights properly though :( Could anyone offer any advice/help? Ta
 
look at a few headlight housings to see how the relectors curve and what not. Personally I checked out a few including some audo modellista art. Once you see how it works...just try to recreate the headlights with your own style

are you using the line tool under pen? or something else the tutorial is good but it isnt helping me donbenni have you released another version besides the 1.0?
 
I essentially do what donbenni says, but in the GIMP. Draw path with curvy selection tool (technically selects bezier curves), stroke path.

I'm not following ya there vip. If your responding to "Inspired mainly by donbenni." I just mean I looked at the way don makes his, and a tutorial he made.

It's hand made in the sense I made every single line while zoomed in 400% on a 2448x1632 origional (which is also the real size of the toon it's self). I made every shade using a combo of the airbrush and the pen tool. I think overall the shades turned out great, except the side windows, but I don't care about those much. lol. The wheels could be better, but I think it's good for being hand made.:cool:

Is there any other way than hand made? lol, sounds a little drastic getting in that close but it's cool, I probably have worked that close too but didn't know it.
