Zoxxy, why the weak smilie? Not satisfied?

I hate the signal lights. I think I'll just remove them.. besides, why do you need signal lights on a race car for? xD

 
Is that a WIP Shant? It's looking wicked, seriously, but needs a few things done still ;)

Haven't had much time to work on that Ferrari, but I should be able to do some stuff on the wheels tonight.

Yup, that was supposed to be a done car, but since you brought it up... you can tell me whats wrong! :D I'll start first :

1) Needs a windshield wiper (will be added)
2) Needs some CF on the splitters and hood (will be added)
3) Needs some proper shading near the air vents (lazy, but i'll try xP)
4) Needs to remove the signal light. I'm going to just cover up the light,I don't know how to put it into words though.. you'll see it soon. ;)

Anything more Don? :D

Well, I got a few.
You could do something with the hood, as its pretty plain. Whenever I get a plain hood, I just create my own design.
You could make the license plate say something, since you added one.
Um....I guess thats it. I really like it. Its like its acrylic, or something....like that......or other....yeah.
Excomplood.
 
Yeah imo the canards (fins), bonnet, and windscreen need work, they are just a little too plain. CF all three. Why not? :D Ok well maybe not the windscreen, but that could use some extra shading. Adding some kind of vented design to the bonnet is a good idea, not too hard to do either.
With regards to the indicators, try colouring the whole section in orange. I wouldn't take the orange away because there's just too much white and not enough colour in the picture already and it really needs the colour to add the extra interest.
Yep the license plate is pretty dull.
Finally something other than a white bg is needed. It's just too white!

lol, the car is clean that way.... just made it easy to vector :)

If you can do the chrome, the first one will look amazing. Its reflections on the bodywork are kinda intrusive though. The second one is just insane!

edit: if i do the mercury, i'll super-simplify the reflections to a simple land/sky thing, as if it were in a studio. doing the chrome shouldn't be a problem.. simpler actually than doing the gradients in flash. :crazy:
 
A wee bit of progress tonight. Just noticed a few jaggies in the front wheel well, I'll get those when I fire PS up again tomorrow.

i think those wheels are gonna be really tough to toon!
sounds like a pretty good idea - could be an advert for chrome custom parts 💡
