very few cars accelerate this fast don't know any in fact maybe a Noble or so...
edit:
oh yes forgot the atom...
Where are you getting these times from?

Ev00-60 in 3.5 sounds about right. In the C&D tuner shootout, the Vishnu Evo (around 400hp) did 0-60 in 3.4s (and it was the fastest 0-60 time of the day there, beating 800hp Vettes and Vipers).
FRSTTop Gear paper magazine...there's a written review of the car.

Very few street legal cars will do 0-60 faster than that. Ferrari Enzo, Ariel Atom, and maybe a Caterham R500, and a Saleen S7 are capable of a superior 0-60, depending on the specific car and the skill of the driver.
MrktMkr1986Thanks, but I tend to be skeptical of "paper magazines" performance times and evaluations. Especially if there are a lot of advertisements.
Nope. I meant cars that are street legal in at least one place in the world.GabkicksThe Chateram and Ariel Atom are street legal in the US??!?!?!![]()
FRSTyeah I agree but the fact is it's the paper version of the tv show you're all taking about and the articles are written by the same people on tv...Clarckson,Hammond,etc...unless you want to say everything on this video is fake the paper should also be considered as reliable![]()
Exactly, the Murcielago weighs almost 4,000 lbs. with a driver!FRSTthe lambo is 4wd too btw more powerful and it still is slower too fat I think
The only reason why the car is capable of 0-60 in less than 4 seconds is because it has all-wheel drive. From a rolling start, the car's AWD system doesn't have as significant an effect as it does from a rolling start. Throw in the turbo lag, which you still get from a rolling start anyway (albeit not as much as from a low rpm), and I still believe that a Murcielago could out-accelerate it (depending on who is in what gear).FRSTand about the turbo lag keep in mind what they tried to show here is not that the car can't beat a Fiat Stilo..it's only that if you want to drive everyday with it unless you want to feel like Sebastien Loeb and change gears ALL the time you better take another car, if you keep in the power range I'm sure there's no problem even form a rolling start.
Gabkicksthey didnt just increase the powerits probably more efficient running engine, maybe better suspension, weight balance, aerodynamic, blah blah
RevheadnzI didn't say that the only thing that Mitsubishi had done was increase the power but with the Evo 8 FQ400 the most significant addition that would aid acceleration performance would be the extra power.
FRSTactually I "think" the turbo is a different one in the FQ400
in the magazine they say it has been changed for a larger Garrett one,not sure if the change they are speaking about is from a standard one or already the FQ3xx

Hope that helps, I couldn't find a proper link, it seems that there was only one site which had that video and every forum had the same url listed.
