No. T10 have exclusive rights to Top Gear.

Be nice please , I come from forza and IMO the Top Gear track is 🤬 ! Nobody was playing online on this track !!!!
You clearly have no idea how many threads get trolled with "Ugh, PD, give us an E30, all this game needs". That's why there is a suggestion thread where you can like suggestions.

Yep, the I come from having played and completed 9 of the last GT's, I'm 85% through GT6 as well as Having played and completed Forza's 2-4.

The TGTT is fun with mates 'round over a few beers, but so are Karts and the Mario Andretti Hudson...

But online it's a rubbish race track ... Those who did race it on FM4 all cheated and used massive cuts anyway so I'm happy without it... If I REALLY feel the urge to drive it, I've still got GT5 and FM4 ... But I can live without.

There is a big reason why no tracks have a same-level crossover. its just not realistic or safe in the real world. Only time you find them is in destruction derby style races, and them cars don't really get up much speed most the time.

Can you provide a source that states that Turn 10 has the exclusive rights for the Top Gear Test Track? Last I heard, BBC aren't allowed to do exclusive licensing. So do you have anything to back up your claim? Getting real sick and tired of all the people who claim Turn 10 has exclusive this and that, just because a certain car or track isn't in another game at the time.

Could you take yourself down a peg?
Taken from the Forza 5 features list -

"Top Gear Exclusives"

Sorry mate. I'm in a crappy mood, and just saw yet another "exclusive" claim, and thus I lashed out.
I did some further research, and couldn't find anything conclusive about whether or not the track is actually exclusive to Forza. Could be that they just list it as being exclusive due to it not being in any other new game.

Again. My apologies.

We all have our moments. I know you're not like that :)

Up until last year Top Gear was owned jointly by:

Jeremy Clarkson 30%
Andy Wilman 20%
BBC Worldwide 50%

BBC Worldwide is the commercial arm of the BBC and bought "BEDDER6" ... (Carkson and Wilman's Production company which held their 50% stake)to take full control last year for £15,000,000

The BBC is not funded by our license fee alone, the commercial arm runs stuff like merchandising and global promotion which makes them a lot of money and I s'pose featuring on a game is a kind of merchandising...

So I'm guessing that the 'Exclusive' rights to Forza were negotiated by Bedder6 back in '12 and that as BBC Worldwide is a commercial arm there'd be nothing to stop them selling exclusive rights again to the highest bidder ... Be that T10, Polyphony, EA or whoever wants it.

Personally I think T10 did a better job of the Top Gear game features in FM4 than Polyphony did in GT5, however as GT5's was the first attempt I think they did a fairly good hash of it... They were a fun distraction from the racing, but I don't miss them.

I liked it, but I really can't get my head around the fact they didn't let you do a standing start.
Too bad it's gone now. I would like to get the Fifth Gear Test Track in return please :)

that'd be a good track to have, especially if its everything added you see in the image above. and with the track creator coming soon (tm), would be cool if we could set our own tracks on the exsiting tracks, like making a new layout at silverstone or something.

One of the original ideas was for GT Arena to be customisable, so maybe we have that coming in future.

No, it's just annoying that just about every single thread mentioning or suggesting something ends up with one individual dropping in with something completely irrelevant along the lines of asking for the most overhyped bimmer in the universe or fixing the game or something like that, which has nothing to do with the thread topic 99.99% of the time.

speaking about track creator it would be really good to have the possibiliit to insert a background image and create the track using it as a blueprint!

I was interested in the actual reasons for it's lack of inclusion in GT6. Despite a fair amount of searching, I am unable to find any articles which specifically state that Forza has "exclusive" rights to Top Gear. However, given that Microsoft Studios signed a long-term collaborative agreement with Top Gear in 2010, I would be surprised if Microsoft didn't insist on exclusivity....as I'm sure they would do anything to keep Sony away from it. Certainly, Forza has more Top Gear related stuff in it from what I can see....a 90 (I think) minute documentary or similar by Clarkson to name one. I'm sure there must be an article somewhere that explains things clearly...I just haven't found it yet

Its a nice track but will be populated by autistic kids drag racing up and down in chrome cars online.

I enjoyed using it as a point of reference for mechanically tuning my cars though, most probably due to its short size and corner variety.

I wish they return it back with improved version of it, yeah i know people hate it because of cheating at online races or the post above me "autistic kids drag racing up and down in chrome cars online" or Arab people (mainly Saudi Arabia) drift on the straight but it seems i am the only one who liked this track.
I use this track for testing the cars not racing with 15 opponents on the same track.

totally agree with Nursemorph and ToyGTone, it was my favourite track to understand if the setup of a certain car was already good. Plus, for what I know it was used by Lotus to set-up his cars, not sure if it's true or not...

The track was designed by Lotus as a good measure of a cars performance, then more recently used by McLaren to test & develop the MP4-12C

hang on gt5 came out before forza 4 and the TG test track was in gt5 so i say PD should have exclusive rights and not turn 10
