This championship would involve 7 tracks with 2 rounds at each track. Those 2 rounds at that track would either be on the same day or weekend. But they could also be a week apart. All depends on the vote. Each race would be either 20 or 30 minutes long.

Cars:
Civic Type R (EK) '97 RM/ 291hp / 845kg
Honda Integra (DC5) RM / 239hp / 950kg
Volkswagen Golf '01 RM / 300hp / 980kg

Each of the cars do have specific modifications. As most of you know cars do gain a couple Horsepower as you drive them but all cars should rise to still be nearly all the same.

I want people to post their input too:tup:

Car Entry limits:
Civic-6
left- NONE

VW Golf-5
left-3

Integra-5
left-3

Finally a race series with reasonable HP and KGS limits. Me like!
2 shorter races (like 15 mins each) back to back with a reversed grid for the 2nd event would be interesting. The real touring car events are run in a similar fashion. For more entertainment and realism force everyone to make one pitstop per race, any lap they want, but they must pit once. This would shuffle the field and allow people to gain a few spots randomly during the race.

Can these cars be race modified in gt5? It would make the race seem more realistic with numbers and sponsor stickers on the cars, as well as race type aero and what not. I am definetly interested. Also, I vote that the races start some time after 8pm US central time.

No because only the Integra can be RM.

After doing some testing at the Top Gear track, each car seems to be running mid 1.14's. But the Volvo is running low to mid 1.15's. So I might find a substitute for it or just take it out.

Sounds Awsome!! As long as it is on weekends I'm in!!

I'll most likely be on a Civic or DC5!!
Just let me know to get a car ready for this!

The Civic Type R can be Race Modified, but the weight comes down to 845kg...
With a bit more research this will be an awsome series!!
I'm definitely in!!

I might put the older BMW Z4 roadster in for the Volvo. But since it is RWD I'll have to work out a handicap for it so it doesn't dominate the FWD's.

Oh well, I just purchased a Mitsubishi FTO Super Touring Car, which looks gorgeous. The only problem is that it's 423hp and 980kg.

I'm interested in this event though! I can always purchase another car if need be.

I think you should consider the Race modification contenders, they seem to fall within each other weight range, after all they are there for a reason...

So far the 3 Definite cars are going to be
Civic Type R (EK) '97 RM/ 302hp / 845kg
Honda Integra (DC5) RM / 239hp / 950kg
Volkswagen Golf '01 RM / 300hp / 980kg

EDIT:
After testing around the Top Gear track i found that the Civic and the Golf were lapping round late 1.13's. But the thing is that the Integra handles almost to well. With 300hp the Integra was doing low 1.12's. So after doing several combinations of parts i finally slowed the time down enough to the other cars. I just want to get all the cars dead equal before i start the series so one car just won't dominate,

I think the FTO RM could be a good contender also!
And would love to see some BMW 328 touring cars, but that's gonna be a hard one to get...

No, It is gonna be kept to premium cars only.

I'm gonna test the Lotus today and that would make up the car lineup.

This is the problem using multiple cars for online racing... getting them to be even requires HOURS of testing. I assume your mostly swapping HP and weight parts trying to find the right combo. The problem of course is you can't un-do some of the parts so once you've gone too far your screwed. For example you eliminated the Volvo C30 but chances are it could run with the other cars if they were heavier.

Its a real shame the number of RM bodies are so limited. You've got the Silvia and the Lancer to try, however balancing them out due to drivetrain might require different tires or limits on wing (downforce) settings. I assume the 4WD would have a rather large advantage versus the FR and FF cars.

The thing is though is that I'm trying to keep the somewhat similar to BTCC and WTCC type. That's what i'm mainly going for with this series.

Is there any mazda's that will fit in this mix?

Maybe the Mazda Atenza Touring car. I know it isn't premium but it does fall in pretty well but if the car can't easily be found by others, then i probably won't allow it.

Would anyone like to help me test the 1996 Lotus Elise RM? I trying to find the right setup but it is quite difficult. I'm trying to get the car to run at it's hardest round the Top Gear track from 1.13.600-800. I know right now that the HP is between 150-170. Just need to find the sweet spot. The reason why it is so low is because the car Race Modified weighs only 670kg.
