Well, when your brand-new Tundra looks like this underneath...

...After only a year or so of ownership. Wow. Where was the quality control on that? Apparently it wasn't just the Tundra, but the Tacoma as well. That is a GM-style problem that I'd never have expected to see from Toyota.

Wow, my Ram looks like a gem compared to that. :scared:

My 18 year old F-150 doesn't have anywhere near that much rust. How does that happen?! Wow

The one thing that definitely doesn't last on a Toyota is the paintjob.
The paint on my Civic isn't very hard either. It chips easily because its supposed to be some greener type of paint that's like water based or something?

Paint chipping is all due to new paint. Not to any defects with any manufacturer process... environmentally friendly paint is also the reason a lot of new cars have bad orange peel, too...

Toyota quality really is going down... what's worse... the initial quality... the simple things that you notice in the showroom... is also going down... which will turn consumers off even before they make their purchases.

Shame... Toyota electronics are still pretty good... and, aside from the sludge issue, their engines are still way up there.
