Ok, so Losail. My first attempt with this competition. For starters, I've got rid of the opening 2 hairpin turns at the start in favour of a single fast, banking, right hander, then flicking left off the banking and onto the straight (as opposed to the right hander after the 2 original hairpins).
After that, I've kept the 1st of the 2 right angled turns, and cutting out the 3rd hairpin by having a shallower right leading into a tightish left. This then leads onto one of the few parts of the original track that I've kept, but at the same time, extending the straight from the 'esses' and going into a tight hairpin, with the possibility of a brave overtaking move or 2.
Following the new hairpin, the 'straight' is more of a straight, as opposed to the left hander on the original, which now leads in to shallower, faster, right as part of the 3 right handers towards the end of the lap. The second right follows the line of the original, but would now have some slight banking added to it, to improve the flow, and making the entry into the new longer and shallower right quicker.
As a result of the quicker right, the left hander after it is now tighter, possibly allowing for a brave move, if you can follow the car in front closely enough. This leads down one of the few original straights at Losail, which now leads into a double right hander to lead on the pit straight (a similar design to the final 2 turns at Bahrain). This could lead to a last minute dash up the inside on the 1st, tighter, right, and let the car flow through the 2nd, shallower, right (which is effectively an accelaration zone), and to the finish line. with a lap now at 3.1465 miles. Hope you enjoy.
